Snowy: The Bear's Adventures is all about awesome action and the coolest cartoon-style animation you've ever seen.

The game stars an adorable polar bear who's trying to reach his home in the Frozen North. Standing in his way are hundreds of crazed monsters! To help Snowy to safety, you must run, jump and kick your way through 88 levels filled with goodies to grab.

Our hero's only defense is the snowballs he tosses that freeze his enemies in their tracks. This allows him to give them the boot! You'll enjoy trying to take out more than one monster at a time and using the bonuses that pop up when an enemy bites the dust. One allows Snowy to toss snowballs faster. Another plops him inside a miniature helicopter and lets him take out monsters without getting hurt.

Something is wrong. I got this email to download Snowy today, Sunday, 10/21 and yet it shows it was offered yesterday Sat. 10/20!! On the site it has realball2 for today. So does that mean I cannot get it now? Today it doesn't have any download option like normally. Someone has sent me the wrong offer date!

The game is straightforward and easy to master with zero frustration. The graphics are bright and appealing. A pleasant and simple experience that I would easily reccomend to anyone for their child or as a stress buster for themselves. The sound and music adds to the whole happy and pleasant ambience the game tries to set.

Cute, old-school, arcade action. Somewhat reminds me of Burgertime of all things except it's very fast paced. Perhaps that's because you're moving vertically instead of a side scroller. Works well on Vista home as well. My only slight complaint is you can't use the keyboard/mouse combo. You can only use keyboard only or a joystick. Joystick would probably work better. You *can* change the key/stick settings. This game is about 100MB installed. It's a good thing that Alawar games are relatively small compared to most commercial games or I'd have my hard drive filled up! ;)

I thought the game was really cute, with great graphics. I always download from Alawar without even looking over the reviews first. Unfortunately for me, keyboard controls are just beyond my dexterity. Thanks anyway!

I've upgraded since the last release and, of course, lost the game when my drive was formatted so I'm glad it's out again. I love Snowy games - they are so non-complicated! Thanks GGOTD!

Wow!! What A cute Game! Fun to play, get's tougher & tougher to play as you go along, lost a lot of lives when I had to fight garbage pail monster though. lol

I've been waiting for this game!! We lost it due to a crash and my kids and I have been waiting for it. This game is great even for young kids. It has a kid level with 99 lives, so they can play for a long time without having to restart often.

This actually, just by screens, looks like a Snow Bros. clone.

Not a bad thing, mind you, as that was one of my favorite games when I was younger... on par with Wardner, Bubble Bobble, Kickle Cubicle and so on.

Hello Alawar, I have noticed two problems with your games.

1) Most of your games I tried from this website are not compatible with AudioSlider. I dont know why, but your games only work when I exit AudioSlider (otherwise the game just minimises on the taskbar). check http://www.codesector.com/mixer.asp

2) After I exit one of your games, all my windows are resized to the size of the resolution of the game. This is terribly annoying as I have to resize them to the original again. Can you change that please?

Hadeda..."Is it the same version as the last one?"

The site says it is at v1.5 which is the only version that supports online high scores. I opened our current version which we downloaded during the last free offer months ago and it has an option to upload highscores online. Bottom Line: Yes, it is the same version.

Yet another great game from Alawar, repeated from 8 months ago. This was received well then as I’m sure it will be today. Alawar have a nice line on Snowy Adventures, many of which have already been given away over the past year. Thank you Alawar for gracing this fantastic project time and time again, it is much appreciated by many.

We’re down to one computer again at the moment due to my constant updating and rebuilding, so I’ve promised the kids I’d be quick today. Callum wants to finish creating a level set for ‘Chocolate Castle’ before he and Emily go off to Gymnastics.

The only negative comments seemed to be regarding installation issues and other glitches, so it must be a worthwhile download. It was one of ‘those’ platforms games. That was what I thought at the time until I started playing it and found I actually enjoyed playing it. My daughter was better than me though lol

The game installs like a dream; though for those new to the giveaway project, today’s giveaway has both an activation and a set up module, so be sure to click on the activate icon first before you install the actual game otherwise you will only have the demo version.

The options menu lacks any control over screen resolution apart from the ability to change from 16 to 32 bit as well as a VSync toggle. VSync is basically a synchronization tool that allows video images that are stored in the video chips memory to be in sync with the refresh rate of your monitor. If you have an older monitor and you get visual glitches within the game, ensure that VSync is turned on and then there will be a good chance the problem will be cured. :)

I've downloaded a few of the Snowy games (including this one) and they are really quite fun. Even though the graphics are geared more towards children, the game play is pretty decent. I've gotten so many good games from GGOTD that I haven't actually played it for awhile, but if you like platform games, you will probably enjoy this one.
