Beach Anime Day
In Brief
A 'easy'core puzzle purporting to be a jigsaw.
The Game
There are three difficulty modes, each mode offering 21 levels. All t he level 1's, 2's, 3's etc are the same. The difference is the number of pieces you have to place and the amount of time you have to complete them. The easy puzzles give you 60 seconds. I didn't bother with the other levels after trying a few medium difficulty puzzles as I found all puzzles far too simple with no challenge apart from finishing the harder puzzles within the time given. All difficulty modes include a greyed out image of the picture to complete, and when you have a piece correctly placed it clicks into place., which takes away any real challenge, added to that, all the pieces are square in shape so are easy to place. That said, this puzzle game may be okay for younger children, if parents are okay with the beach anime theme.
For Steam collectors you'll find Beach Anime Day for £1.69 (not worth it) HERE; however, from the 25th of June, i.e. this Thursday late afternoon (UK time), the Steam sale starts, so it'll probably be reduced significantly. You can read the only Steam community review (which is decent and fairly in depth curator review) of the game) HERE and see a video of game play on the Steam store page HERE and Falcowares own video HERE. The in game music is retro arcade fare, with some distortion added. Seems to fit the game okay, but I did find it became a little annoying after awhile, so muted it via the Windows volume mixer.

Useful Information not related to today's game giveaway:
Don't forget to check out the giveaway forums. Delenn has posted the latest freebies. This weeks Epic Game giveaway is Pathway and next Thursday it changes to AER: Memories of Old and Stranger Things 3: The Game. Just pop over to the game discussion threads HERE and HERE for links to most of the free games.
There's also a couple of new additions to the Indie Gala developers freebies HERE and HERE (Snow White Solitaire Charmed Kingdom, Adam Wolfe (Complete Edition) and Spirit of Xanadu).
The Humble Store has a fantastic Bundle available containing hundreds of dollars worth of games, including some high end AAA games. I've posted details of the bundle over in the forums HERE, including images of most of the games in the bundle. Also included is a months free subscription to the Humble Choice bundle (details in the same thread I've linked to above). It's the second bundle to support the fight for racial justice and costs a minimum of £25.50 (sounds a lot but just one of the games included would cover that or most of the first months subscription to the Humble choice bundle. you get over $1200 worth of games, plus another $180 via the Choice bundle).
Finally, Steam have also added Injustice: Gods Among Us Ultimate Edition to their free list (temporary) which you'll find HERE

Can not bear the music, I have never seen a game from here where you could not turn off the music. With that and the babyish game I will be uninstalling, sorry.

The name of the publisher is "Repa Games". Too bad there's not a area, where it also says where the game REALLY is. Because I do not like Falco at all! First thing I got was when I tried to install it, was "This is a dangerous file". Nothing new about that. But I kept it anyway. Because I do love puzzles, but I had a feeling I wouldn't like this one, but I figured I'd look at, give it a chance, since it was a small file. One minute later, I uninstalled it. It was as bad as I thought it would be. Horrible!

joanofark06, I used to play Jigzone with mom. It has a thousands of pictures with a choice of puzzle shapes and a number of pieces. Mom was better at it until she got Alzheimers. I used the game to gauge her decline.
This "game" is totally pathetic, it looks like it was made by a teenage boy.

Dobromilka, thanks for that. I knew about that one. I've got many jigsaw puzzle website's saved. Have you ever seen this one? So many different puzzles,

https://www.jigidi.com/

* A large number of puzzles within any given category - 3,6 million published puzzles. All created by Jigidiers!

It has Bookmarks, In Progress, Completed, puzzles, so you can keep you spot! Or Search by keyword, or by User!
I don't know what it DOESN'T have, lol!!

* UP TO 400 PIECES!!

You can make them from your phone too!

18.00 a year gives you the site, without ads, but you don't have to. Just use the BASIC....it's fine too.

* Jigidi has users from all over the world, 228 countries to be exact.

I'd suggest looking through the MANY questions on the FAQ (frequently asked questions), before you begin!

Hope you like it! Sorry to hear about your mom. If you need any help with anything, or just need someone to talk to, you can use my name on here, with the gmail ending from my email address. I don't have anyone to talk to, so I'd be free to help you with anything!

joanofark06,

Hi Joanofark06,

Thank you for your comment. Because this game is no longer live, Dobromilka may not see this comment unless they have notifications checked. It would be great if you could post this over in the forums.

If you haven't created an account to post in the giveaway forums I could post the details for you, and of course mentioning that you posted the details originally. I remember one of the first jigsaw puzzles given away here. It's still one of the best jigsaws I have because you can add any images to the game, including adding different categories, plus it has choices that are idea for children ie from 24 pieces, to a decent 1040 that are ideal for adults. It was called Infinite Jigsaw and was given away on February 13, 2008! HERE. I posted a short review of the game (comment number 30) and you can see a slide show of the images I'd linked in that review. The very first image is actually a picture of my children at the top of Mount Teide in the Canary Islands (Tenerife) back in the summer of 2007 HERE

If you have no one to talk to you are always welcome to call me on my Discord channel. The following is an invite code to my server I'm usually online in the evenings (UK time) from 9pm to midnight and also afternoons from 1pm to 4pm. Thursday and Tuesday evenings are taken up with a group of mature online friends (all of us are between mid 50's to mid 60's) that I play cooperative games with, but most other times I'm free.

https://discord.gg/tmUQkH (you can Google how to use the invite code, but you need to install Discord first).

Discord is a free chat app, similar to programs like Skype or Team Speak that you can download HERE. I use it primarily to chat to online friends while we play cooperative games, but also I'm trying to persuade friends and family to change from Microsoft's Skype becasue it uses less resources and you are able to chat to several people at the same time face to face if you wish (unlike Skype where you can only have face to face unless you pay a subscription, or you can just text chat.
