Please NOTE, This game requires a 'Virtual Reality' headset.

A short review will follow later, I will post some images and the Steam intro for now. I don't yet possess a VR head set. Will be buying one later this year, probably for next Christmas, so cannot comment personally about this game, but I will post some you tube videos, plus, if I can find them other reviews that the Steam community have posted.

Suit Up! Strap in! Take to the skies… in your Balloon Chair of Death!

Balloon Chair Death Match is a unique single player and multiplayer VR game, featuring challenging, competitive aerial combat above a beautiful, immersive city environment.

Imagine yourself sitting in a desk-fan driven chair held up by several balloons. You navigate the airspace above a city using the joystick attached to one of the arm rests. Virtual Reality wizardry means you feel like you're right there, in that chair, bobbing along past the tips of skyscrapers, looking down at the tiny cars going about their business hundreds of feet below you. It all sounds rather lovely and serene until you add other people with similar chairs, large guns and wicked intentions.

In the game you will find yourself pitted against several other Balloon Chair pilots, earn points for shooting out their balloons and for sending them plummeting to the ground. The more balloons you inflate the higher you go. To keep yourself going you'll need to fly around the city to collect gas and bullets, so you can teach the other pilots a thing or two. There's quite a lot of gleeful carnage and frivolous high speed impacts with the pavement.

Oh, and don't play chicken with the trains on the high-rise monorail which runs round the city, you'll lose.

This is no longer a giveaway site when it comes to games. Its a shame, guess you had good run. I see less and less people coming and commenting on here as a result.

Since the giveaway team secured games from Steam, the community has expanded and is actually much larger than it ever has been. Every global Steam game giveaway has numbered at least 15 000 and as many as 30 000 plus. We rarely got so many downloads unless it was one of the better Alawar or Playrix games. Most community members never bother to comment anyway, once they have their download that's all that concerns them. If some one does take the time to comment on a game, then it is appreciated, but I have no problems with those that don't. if i did I'd be a hypocrite as I've downloaded stuff from the other side of this project as well as other free sites and haven't bothered to say thank you or comment about the software, usually due to time constraints. I usually have a couple of project being managed at any one time. Though I do frequently buy products I've first been given for free.

Strange, that yesterdays game wasn't given away? In fact, everyone who did get a key got a second copy for free, which they can give away to their friends once the 30 day cooling off period is over. I know lots of community members that got it free, same with loads of games already given away this year. Last year there were at least a hundred games given away, some may have been dlc packs for free to play games, but that doesn't mean they weren't free. You have a strange notion of what isn't free. Even the games we get from MyPlayCity are free. All the games on MyPlayCity are commercial games, that are sold for cash elsewhere (apart from other free game sites). Free game sites earn cash from your forced visits to their sites (whenever you close a game down it redirects you to their site unless you've broken the EULA and disabled them, which is basically stealing). A percentage of that money is then passed onto the developers of the games that you downloaded. If everyone started to disable the home page redirection those free game site would cease to exist because they would no longer be able to pay those developers cash. Developers would not give their games away totally for free unless it was to their advantage. No developer is going to spent thousands of man hours creating a game only to give it away totally for nothing unless they have ulterior motives, for example most developers who create freeware games are only doing it to create a portfolio of games to show off their skills. Giving it away free is the best way to get a game distributed. The more people who know about it, the more the developer is noticed. Lots of guys who have created mods for commercial games and/or freeware have gone on to either create their own commercial development houses or been snapped up by the big AAA houses..
