Only a single map that shows the way to the lost treasures of ancient Atlantis, that is finding where they hid a cache of books and artifacts before sinking. Anna discovers a fragment of a mysterious map leading to the underwater kingdom so she of course needs to find 25 compasses and 25 keys etc on her way ;) Although her grandfather doesn't believe in this legend, he agrees to help the girl in her journey. This is a bit old so I kind of miss the zoom in/out and magnifier that I've seen in some recent hidden object games I've tried on bigfish and would say not to judge all hidden object games by this one. The items can be a bit small in a few cases (not real size) but with the included hint button that recharges I'm sure it is manageable. When a list item is in quotes it means you have to combine two items, such as needing batteries for a flashlight rather than the exact item term given to search for may throw some people off. However the hint there also would only show the first item (flashlight) and not what to do with it so I can see why this might be a hit or miss with some players.
I used the timer mode and its a very long timer so not really a pressure timer situation more like how long you take, there are achievements and free play mode to return to completed levels. I find it to be worth playing, and will complete the game to see just what the people of Atlantis put away for others. Perhaps the story and characters could have been more developed, and just would not be my first choice to buy or play if I was paying full price or had many similar other well reviewed options in my backlog.
Maybe some people who had trouble running could try installing DirectX End-User Runtime (Direct X 9) from microsoft.

The torch is pressent, will be shown with HINT, but can't set to found it.

Although this isn't my favourite type of game I thought I would try it. It is a hidden object game where you have to find the objects from the list. There are 2 modes relaxed and timed, I used the relaxed mode. The hint mode was available when you needed it. I couldn't finish the first level because I couldn't do the final action of connecting the torch to the electric, maybe someone will be able to do it. Although I am not going to keep the game on my computer it is worth giving it a try.

ros dennis, I didn't get that one at first, either. And the hint was no help at all. But when I went back and looked again, I found a small battery (like a AA) in the lower right corner. Dragging that battery to the flashlight (aka "torch") solved it.
And I learned that levels in this game do save if you quit before you finish them!

Same thing happened to me but I had not done the tutorial so I created a second profile, went through the tutorial to realize the issue. I then deleted that second profile, went back to first and it worked. On the table in the extreme lower right there is a battery that you need to pick up and drag to flashlight. I hope that helps.

ros dennis, Torch is on the ottoman table and looks like a black flashlight. The other item is on the right side bottom under the books. It is a small vertical item. If you click on the items where you have to pick up another item first it will jump. That's how you can find it. Pick up the flashlight and drop it onto the vertical electric as you call it. I just did it so I don't remember what it is called.

Ian, Try this. Right click on the Shortcut, click on Properties, click on Compatibility, check the box next to "Run this program in compatibility mode for". It will show a drop down box. I would check Windows 8 first. Click apply on the bottom right. I would reboot but you may not have to.
This is how our family played Win 3.1 games on much higher Windows operating systems. I hope it works.

Rufus V. Smith, If you get this error, go to the Windows Control Panel ► Programs and Features (or Programs ► Uninstall a Program) and look for Microsoft Visual C++ apps installed on your machine. One by one, right-click on each and click on 'Change', then click on 'Repair'.

I ran Microsoft [sysinternals] Process Explorer while the game was running in my Win11 23H2 VM -- while that VM has newer versions installed, the game used the vc90 C/C++ runtime. You can download the setup file for Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 here:

It wouldn't hurt to check Windows Update after installing in case there's a security update for the runtime.
