I've made it to the 8th level, playing of & on today. It is somewhat more dificult than most games of this type. The game runs very smoothly and has many options. "Thumbs-up"

Well said game seeker comment #27. My kids absolutely adored this game this evening, that and crystal cave gold.

I just can't believe the library of games I've got since the game give away started. I've spread the word to all the kids parents, but many of them tend to keep gaming away from their young kds. i believe it helpds them learn about computers. anyway, there's an increasing number of "friends" who want to come visit now that their friends know about the rich treasury of games we have. I think the game give away started on the 2nd Dec, so thats 60 games to date minus one for the lost day, plus all the other games that were given away over on the giveaway site. (I already had around 140 bought games, but they were all arkanoid games, so the kids now have a great variety to choose from, and even me a dedicated arkanoid fan since the very first taito breakout has been converted to some of the other genre, but arkanoid is still my first love, lol.

Thought this was just going to be another bejeweled type game. But it's a fun twist on that type of puzzle game...Thanks!

This game is beautiful - I love the graphics and the music is relaxing. This is so different than any match up game that I have played. It was a nice change of pace and actually makes you think. Be sure to check out the options where you can change the bubbles to balls or gems as well. Runs well on Vista Ultimate too!

If this shows up several times, I'm having trouble posting for some reason. It won't post and isn't telling me it's waiting for moderation - it just refreshes the page?

This makes the 4th try - if it doesn't work this time, at least I tried

The same game three times in a row, oh boy...

I love this site, but please, could you try to get some games that aren't all the same puzzle games or breakout clones all the time?
There's much better games out there than this stuff, I'd take freeware over this any day.

I got this on trial from elsewhere, and it was one of those that I was considering paying for, so lucky for me I've now got it for free. It does have a different spin on the usual scenario, and I'm not kidding that it gets a little hairy when those bubbles get close to the rope. I do find Aquatic himself a bit annoying (thanks for the info on the options adjustments), but I'm usually concentrating on the playing area, so can only see him out of the side of my eye, and he's not going anywhere (not like the big spider I've got a jar over and now have to get rid of!) Thanks, GgOTD, for offering such a game (I've only known about the site for 3 days, missed Electric Eddie, but Dad has it).

I appreciate free games, but I agree with others.
All the games you offer are similar. I like puzzle games,
but make them different. "Match up 3 like colored bubbles to make them disappear" has been offered numerous times in the past...week and a half? I can name 20 just like those if that'll help.

I really appreciate this site. The games, mostly, are fun, easy to learn, and are good for kicking back and relaxing. And are FREE.

Those who don't like this type of game, don't d/l them, for Pete's sake!

Anyway, thanks to all who make this site possible.

This game is worth a try for all those who may take a look at the screen shots(BTW thanks)and say, "Nah...another match up game - I'll pass". It's more than point and click. There are some novel approaches and a snail that will mess - up - your - day. It downloads smoothly and includes an uninstall if you decide it's not for you. Lately installing has become a one step process without a separate activation key. Don't know if this is to become standard, just an observation. This probably helps folks who are less familiar with their computers but may be attracted to the games :)

Thanks GGotD for the pick-me-up every day. Oh and, I'm a Scorpio also. I'd register as your friend, but I'm not on MySpace ;)

Re #1 Arjan: At least there's no language barrier. That's what you complained about with the word game.

Re #6 Luigi and #8 Marja: If you want a strategy-type RPG game for free try Ahriman's Prophecy. Do a search for it, it's freeware.

Re #7 Paco: Find more info yourself, can't expect others to do everything for you. GGOTD provides the description given at the author's site. If you want more info click the linked site and go read author's sidebar and any comments or forums at their site. Can also try online searches for reviews. Or just wait and read comments here, some people give real info instead of just "love it ...thanks!" or "It's crap!". This part of your comment was interesting: "conscious users need to have more information in order to decide to install or not'. Sure hope most visitors are CONSCIOUS when they stop here. ;)

Re #23 Gary: Must agree DOS-style push puzzles had their day a very long time ago, they're now terribly outdated and should be offered as freeware rather than shareware. Rock 'N Roll and Electric Eddie most certainly fall into that category but yesterday's Crystal Cave Gold is an exception. Not my kind of game at all but I can appreciate the work that went into creating more than 100 levels and incorporating action elements and a choice of different graphic scenarios.

As for today's game, it certainly does offer a new twist on the bubble shooting genre. There's a different method of shooting, color-changing game pieces, and pieces that do different things in upper levels. If you find the little Aquatic guy annoying you can silence him in Options, just turn Sound all the way down and turn Music up. Personally I don't mind him and think kids will really appreciate this animated character. If your kids are finding the different shooting method too difficult try turning down the gun sensitivity in Options, if you want it more challenging try turning it up. The background graphics are really beautiful, just like with all Realore games.

Currently (at the time of writing this comment) this game has a thumbs up rating of only 67% which is truly ridiculous. Considering the graphics, different take on the genre, nice music, and lack of buggy programming, there's just NO way Aquatic of Sherwood is on the same level as Jan. 25's Rock 'N Roll which topped out at 67%. That game had crappy graphics, extremely poor music, was buggy, and simply a copy of hundreds of DOS puzzles from so many year ago. In fact, it wasn't even as good as most of those considering the buggy programming that made it crash on exit and behave strangely in other ways. Today's game doesn't do any of that, it's so far beyond Rock 'N Roll.

Obviously people who simply don't like the entire bubble genre or are tired of it are voting thums down. That's really unfair and does nothing to give accurate feedback to either GGOTD, Realore, or other site visitors who may consider trying today's game.

(we dont do adult type games as josh uses both of our computers )there are grown-up games at caiman for those who dont like these games and they are free too. ( please remember not everbody likes or wants games that are like that.)

While most of the games are similar, I for one am happy that these games are being offered for free. Quite a few this month have been offered on digital cable for a fee on a per month basis.

This game totally su***. Yesterdays game su**** worse. Yesterdays game should not have been offered, though I'm sure it would have done outstanding in 83. Treasure of Persia is good. I am waiting for an awesome game. Something to keep my attention for more than 5 minutes without noticing how gay the music or the animated creature coaxing me into game slavery with encouraging slogans is.

I agree with many of the others here - the playstyle of this game offers a novel twist to a fairly common theme. I would like to see a little more variety to the game genres offered, but most of these have been pretty good.

Interesting game. A little too random for my tastes for a puzzle game, but definitely an interesting game mechanic with the "aiming". Made it up to level 5 of arcade mode on my first run.

Not going to become a favorite compared to other similar games that I like better, but for free, I'm not about to complain. Thanks, GOTD!

What a great game! The aiming, the color changing, the "ARG! It wasn't supposed to go there!" This is the first time in a long time for these "bubble-type" games I have actually felt a real challenge. I lost the first round at level 3. Err... several times. And then at level 5. The only thing I would change is Aquatic himself - he needs a mute button.

How can you people justify complaining around here?
If you stopped to think for a minute you might realise that a site like this isn't exactly going to be able to bring you the latest unreal tournament!!!
If you do not like these small puzzle or arcade games then I would suggest you do not like this part of the site and so should stop complaining and just move on.
Some of us DO like these kind of games and that is why we return here.
OK some of them are boring, tedious, repetetive or just stupid but if that's the case I would always just leave a comment about the game, NOT a comment about the site and how I dislike it generally because they can't bring a higher grade of FREE game to me.
Come on people!
These games are free.
Thanks again to the GAOTD site!

Yay screen shots, at least now all the haters can get a look at the game giveaways before they start their daily tirade. But on to the game.

Though it falls into the 3 of a kind puzzle game, there are some unique features that are worth the download. There is a power meter that you have to use to send the (bubbles/balls?) projectiles on to the playing field and 3 of a kind changes its color causing many times a cascade effect so that you aren't to sure what you are doing but you know that you are winning. the bubble creature can be a bit annoying at times especially when he falls asleep on you. I won't talk about the music because I am always amused by those persons who expect great music from a giveaway and oh yeah there is a storyline somewhere in the background.
Realore Studios is a really good publisher so I say give it a try.

I've just checked the game out and find it suprising that some say this is the same kind of game. There are so many differences from the usual shoot a bubble to match three or more colors. This one definitely takes more skill to play. I like the different modes of play, the pleasant graphics, the ability to change the bubbles for gems, o bubbles with symbols as well as the novel way of shooting the balls into the arena. The combinations and the color change ideas are great and add much more to this gane than those considered similar in this genre. Thankyou. My daughter is going to really love this one.

Nice one thank you GotD team. My kids love all these bubble games. They can't get enough of them. I'm happy whatever you give away as a game is a game and all will give me some distraction.

I'm looking forwards to the next space shooter or arkanoid game (as long as you dont get the arkanoids from Alawar as I've bought all theirs, lol) By the way, the last arkanoid you gave away last week has turned out to be a really great game give away. The levels are interesting and there's a lot of different aspects to the game that keep you riveted. Thanks for that one despite the large number of whiners. lol Keep up the good work guys. (Hey you never answered my query from a while back about whether their are any ladies on your team? I call you guys, but there must be a few women as well????) just nosey.

To #1 : apparently the game while similar is a bit different also. The main problem is not the game itself but the fact that explanations given by GAOTD ar generaly ... minimalistics. GAOTD should really make an effort on describing what they give away, particularly when the editor website itself gives very few information. There seems to be a feeling that since it is given away, user can try it and thus do'nt need forhand explanation. This is not true. Installing something on a computer is always a risk and thus conscious users need to have more information in order to decide to install or not.

Interesting variation of the "bubble-burst" game. Must gauge "strength" of shot and timeing, instead of just aim & shoot. Installed & activated using "GotD Un-offical launcher" without any problems. - Thanks.

Not again the same kind of game! How many of these games are there, where you have to take 3 or more same coloured things away? So in a scale from 0-10 I give the program 3 points.
