I downloaded and love this game. Ran into a problem and have to reinstall it. When I try to reinstall it from the zip file it says the free download has expired. How do I reinstall the free version? Any ideas?

My only complaint is that there is no "Save" option, and I don't have a lot of time to sit and play this game. Otherwise, it's fun and challenging. :-)

No I didn't try to add any words. I just saw the option there. I will try to play around with it today and see if I can get it to work. Thanks for the heads up. ;)

I love it. I hadn't played this type of game in a while. I used to play it on one of the famous online game sites.

See Rabbit, that #1 gave an unfair rating. This is a quality game.

Plus having that dancing character is pretty cool. It'll wear off for me in a while, but I know my son won't tire of it anytime soon.

Many thanks for the intellegent remarks today. I wasn't going to d/l this game today. I read the intriguing comments and will give it (and myself) a test. LOL 8-) --- If only there was some software to give me more time to play all the games from GOTD !

#44 William sez: "Did you notice that he is LITTERING? He drinks and throws the cup behind him."

Look again, it's not a cup. It's a coconut shell, they're biodegradable. ;)

Guess no answers on "Add Words" not working? Too bad, wanted to add kid's school vocabulary words. :(

This game is okay. I didn't see any documentation telling what the gray blocks are.

Re #32, WhiteRabbit aka Stephen,

You're certainly welcome for the Caiman link! Hope you enjoy that site too, plenty of games for you and your kids and they're all freeware all the time. McAfee Site Advisor rates them as green, meaning safe. Not that I have complete faith in McAfee Site Advisor, but some find their ratings reassuring. Never had any problems with downloads from Caiman's site though.

NOTE: ADD WORDS to AQUA WORDS: Option is there but unless I'm missing something it doesn't work. (BillW50, any thoughts on that? Have you tried yet and if so did you get it to work?) Maybe it's just the GGOTD version, but the word "Add" is superimposed over the word "Check". If you click on "Add" it opens your browser, goes to Realore's site and says you already have the current version of Aqua Words and need no update but no option to add words. Tried right clicking too, no response. Didn't try "Clear" under "clear words" because thought that might clear out all the words and still leave no option to Add again. So ...Arjan may not be able to add Dutch words after all.

I don't have played the game yet, because the words are not Dutch. My puzzle dictionary is a great and helpful website by playing such games. Maybe in the future (Kijk ff op m'n site) there's an wordlist available to download from the internet.
Like Bookworm, is also editable to add your own words.

Of course I do Duh comment #28 :). I have to take a large dose of morphine regularily, so my brain isn't 100% there all the time. Maybe it's why I sometimes get stroppy. I don't really know, but point taken about not giving a game a low rating because of the language. The ability to add words as written by BillW50 is interesting. Thanks for that info. I'll have to add some of my childrens favorite words; maybe. :) By the way I did say I don't mean to be mean or rude to people, just putting forward my own opinion of what I read in the comments section.

Anyway after playing this game for a while earlier today I can say it really is a great educational game. The weekend is here so the kids will get some computer time. They always ask to see what new gamesI've downloaded from this project. This game will be the first i show then Troll as I think it's hilarious, despite the many negative comments. I don't bring my kids up in a prudish way, so the naked, headless man and the moonie will just be another funny characature of human sillines to them, lol. I hope everyone is enjoying this site as much as i do. i got a shock earlier today when i couldn't connect to the site and felt rather disappointed at not being able to get my daily fix of freebies. Thankfully after several hours it came back on line. Thanks GoTD team for everything you've accomplished. I for one appreciate every day.

Oh and thanks for the link "game seeker" comment #16; much appreciated and Comments #7 and #15 are both right about their suggested developer/distributors: Gamehouse and Garage games, both excellent sites, especially garage games that offer software for developers as well. (try marble blast gold with a great selection of fan ,made levels available or chain reaction a fantastic puzzle game where you have to move a purple dinosaur from point a to point b using a variety of implements such as hair dryers, weights, spring boards, and a whole host of other objects. Both the games i've mentioned come with editors so that you can build yyour own levels; an important plus for me when buying games as you'll usually find a great fan site. (best example is for the richochet arkanoid clone {lost world and recharged, both of which have a fantastic editor, and access to over 10 000 [ten thousand]levels made by fans.) Sorry i digress again, lol.

#28: Your change should be "well-written English."

"Great" is correct - adding punctuation should make it clear:

"further improve your (already great) written English."

I doubt WhiteRabbit meant to say "your already great-written English."

Another excellent selection from Realore, thanks GGOTD and Realore! Like previous Realore games this one has beautiful graphics and music and it just WORKS ...no bugs.

No instructions but it plays like BookWorm, letters must touch to use them to form words and must go in order. You don't have to click "Submit" to check a word, if you don't see any points under the box where the letters appear then it's not an accepted word. Like most word games some strange words are accepted and others you'd think would be accepted are not. Not too much of that though.

Backgrounds change during play and there's three modes, Arcade, Strategy, and Time. If you or your kids don't like timed play, the timer thermometer moves slowest in Time mode. Lots of bonuses like 2X points letters, bomb letters that explode those around it when used, and snowflake letters to freeze the thermometer timer. Also some obstacles, like a few letters with a small "X" symbol on the bottom can only end a word.

Arcade mode starts with a partial screen of letters and more are added gradually, don't let them get to the top in this mode or the game is over. Strategy starts with a full screen of letters that are replaced as they are used and is closely timed. Time mode starts with a full screen also replaced as used but the timer doesn't seem to matter much, you just go from one level to the next. Three difficulty levels for each mode, Easy, Normal, and Hard. Easy is good for younger kids, lots of three letter words. Normal is great for playing along with your kids, and Hard is the mode to play by yourself. Score list for each mode doesn't separate by difficulty level, only by play mode. So if your kids play Easy and you play Hard then they can have their names above yours in the score lists. (Kids love that. )

The little Aquatic guy is cute, dances, drinks coconut milk then tosses the shell, cheers the player on when an accepted word is submitted, grumbles a little if a non-word is submitted, also pulls a chain to change the background from day into night during play. Music and sound can be adjusted in options and you can even add words to the game's word list!

MSI file is an install file that only runs under NT, 2000, and XP. Are you installing this under Windows 9x or ME? And I don't think it has anything to do with Norton antivirus. It is just a coincidence they have the same file name.

#12:

#4 may have seemed sarcastic but he was just making a point. You shouldn't give a game a low rating just because it's not in your language.

I love word games and can't wait to try this out when I get home. As another poster said you can add your own words, so that would solve #1's problems if that's true. :p

P.S.
"May I suggest Arian, that you could use the game to further improve your already great written English'
Don't you mean 'well' written English?
:P

#1 Arjan, not fair to rate this game poorly just because it is not in your language! But you want games in Dutch? Try http://www.caiman.us

All freeware games and a safe site, a few downloads from there and no problems. (But always scan anything you download from anywhere to be sure for yourself.) Many games in English and Dutch. Look in Puzzle, Racing, BreakOut, Shooter, and Flight Sim. The ones with descriptions in Dutch give you a choice on install for English or Dutch. But sorry, all their Word games are in English.

Matt comment #4 I don't think Arian comment #1 was being sarcastic or nasty, but just pointing out a fact. Your repost was rather sarcastic though. English may be regarded as the universal language due to scientific, medical and engineering languages prevailing in English, but a greater proportion of the worlds population speak Chinese or one of the many Indian or African languages/dialects as well as Spanish. Many software packages thankfully realise that everything isn't english language orientated (thankfully) and provide a selection of languages for ther programs, including arcade games. By the way I was born in the UK, only speak English and a little german and am highly embarrased at not being able to communicate in at least one of each of the continents languages; but don't tie myself to the street gang mentality of nationalism as I believe in a free world society, where the minority have just as much importance as the majority. Due partly to the fact that the majority usually tend to be misguided sheep. I don't mean to be rude to you so I apologise if I've either taken your comment out of context, or if i've offended you. but really find any sort of sarcasm, the lowest form of humor.

The game is great. May I suggest Arian, that you could use the game to further improve your already great written English. :)

4 is pretty generous given that it's not in his language :D Perhaps you're being a little harsh there, no. 4. I won't be downloading this one, as I've got plenty of excellent word games already, but it looks like it should be OK, there's not too much you can do wrong in a word game.

I recommend gamehouse.com for word games (and games in general) particularly bookworm and text twist.

English is a universal language. You might as well get used to it. Game makers can't possibly please everyone. I fear no one would visit the GOTD website if apps and games came in a different language every day. Just because the game isn't in Dutch doesn't mean it's a bad game or that it deserves a bad rating if you don't understand it.

I could also give a 4 rating since this game isn't written in Swahili or Latin, but I won't.
