Animals Memory: Dogs is a memory game that was created using the Unity engine. There's a whole series of these memory games over on Steam HERE in a large mixed bundle, each of the animals memory games depict a different animal from the Kingdom Animalia; for example, horses, cats, bird, dinosaurs, underwater kingdom and of course dogs. The game is a simple pairs game where you are shown all the images, then they disappear and you have to find the duplicates. Each game is usually £0.79 but all are on sale at the moment with 50% off, though the mega bundle, which is quite expensive that I've linked to above includes 124 games, most of which are on sale separately from between 50% to 90% . Personally I think that the whole series should be combined into one full game instead of selling them off bit by bit.
There are 18 levels to work through; the first few are simple with only eight boxes to choose from, but as you progress these increase in number to 24. When you first start a level you get a specific time to look at the images before they disappear. The first level gives you 20 seconds, the second 15 seconds and thereafter all levels only give you 10 seconds. I would have thought increasing the time allowed as you progressed to the harder levels would have been a little better as the last several levels have a lot more images to memorise. You can start each level before the timer runs out by clicking the Go button.
You are awarded up to three stars for completing each level. Three stars if you manage to complete all pairs with no or just one error. The more errors you create the fewer stars are awarded. You can play or replay any level in any order.
In the top left hand corner of the game screen there are two buttons one to return to the level map and the other is to restart the level you are on. The go button next to the timer obviously starts the level and the buttons to the right while in the levels map turn off the music (which is rather drab piano music) and the exit game.

The latest free games from Epic games are the excellent open world shooter Just Cause 4 and Wheels of Aurelia a narrative based road trip game set in the roaring Italian 70s. You'll find them HERE. Since epic games started their regular giveaways back in November 2018 I've received exactly 100 good quality indie arcade and AAA games, not counting the αlpha version of their latest unreal tournament game, plus some free stuff from several years ago such as Pistola. Next week from the 23rd April the free game is For The King, a strategic RPG that blends tabletop and rogue-like elements in a challenging adventure.
Also check out the Developers showcase freebies from Indie Gala HERE (some games are not suitable for children). Since Indie Gala started the Developers showcase, I've amassed over 160 games, some of which are excellent time wasters (e.g. Marble Duel: Sphere-Matching Tactical Fantasy {the latest addition}, Brigade E5: New Jagged Union, Off-Road Drive, Ring Runner: Flight of the Sages, Stalingrad, 7,62 High Calibre, A.I.M.2 Clan Wars, RC Cars, Waste Walkers, Theatre of War 2: Africa 1943, UBERSOLDIER II, Polygolf, Land It Rocket, and Galactic Missile Defense to name a few. 81 of those games, including some of the ones named above are still available to download free with no DRM.
The Shadow Arena beta Steam key giveaway is still active HERE. The beta runs from Friday 17th to Monday 20th April. You'll require a free Gleam account before you can claim your key. There hasn't been any recent additions to the free Steam key giveaway site HERE, but it's still worth checking daily for any Steam games that have been made free temporarily, some are only free for a day, so keep checking. so long as you grab the game while its free, its your to keep forever (or for as long as Valves Steam survives). Previous Steam giveaways include Gravity Wars, Ticket to Ride: First Journey, Tumblestone, Will Glow the Wisp, Days of War, Gang of Four, Pinball FX3 Care Package, Autobahn Police Simulator, Acceleration of SUGURI 2, Martian Law, Epic Chess, Barro and others as well as various DLC packs for other games.
