At the present time (2 days into the giveaway) there's approximately a 1 in 4 chance of winning a key, so it's still well worth entering. Make sure you revisit each day to get the extra 3 entries.

Alien Hallway 2
In Brief
Alien Hallway 2 is an excellent reverse Tower Defence game created by the Sigma Team and the latest in a long line of Alien Shooter games they have released over the last decade. We've been given several of their games over the years incl;uding their last release Alien Shooter TD, which has similarities to this game. Thank you Sigma Team, a big thumbs up from me and a well deserved 8 out of 10 for gameplay, graphics and upgrades.
Installation:
The installation is via the Steam client. If you are not familiar with activating a Steam game, go to the top menu and select Games. From the drop down menu select 'Activate a Product on Steam'. Sigma Team, the developers of the Alien Shooter and the first Alien Hallway game have recently released a new game Alien Shooter universe! Get prepared to unique tactical gameplay, lots of monster types and 8 fighter types allowing you create your own style of completing missions and defeating bosses.
If you love shooters and Tower Defense games, you're in for a treat. This is much better than the recent TD games we were given recently (IMO). You can expect masses of aliens attacking you, but, what's different about this Alien shooter game is you have more than one character to control, in fact you have several squads of soldiers at your disposal. the more you earn by gathering the many crystals and other items you pass, the more squads you can add to your army.
As with all Alien Shooter games as you progress the game gets harder, but you get to upgrade your soldiers and equipment. This is by far the best Alien Shooter game I've played to date, tohugh it is a lot different to previous titles in the series.
Gather resources such as the crystals that you pass on the left and right of the hallway during the fight and use them to add new soldiers. Form your current squad wisely, depending on the situation.
Each class has unique specialty. Using a specialty at the right moment will bring you victory.
Manage your squad to defeat the most dangerous enemies, explode combustibles and gather required resources.
Shooter - Perfect choice for killing medium and small enemies. Specialty: throwing grenades.
Miner - Extracts minerals required for adding new fighters.
Medic - Recovers nearby soldiers' health. Specialty: morale. When activated it notably improves main parameters of the squad members.
Sniper - Uses long-range heavy ion rifle. Deals successfully with large and dangerous enemies.
Flamethrower - Extremely effective against clusters of medium and small monsters. Specialty: fireball - a high power blast burning everything on its way.
Defender - Protects the companions walking behind. Specialty: energy shield. For a short term generates a powerful energy field which defends every soldier in its range.
Rocketeer - Uses homing missiles for great area damage. Specialty: battle drone - unmanned fighting module attacking the enemy from the rear.
Elite Soldier - Uses last generation energy weapon capable of incinerating most powerful enemies. Specialty: overload. Accumulated crystals are used for short-term weapon power.

Other Reviews and Videos of Alien Hallway 2:
You can see Steam community reviews of Alien Hallway 2 HERE and other information HERE. There are several in-game videos of game play HERE, HERE, HERE and HERE.
Conclusion:
Alien Shooter 2 is an excellent reverse tower defense game with lots of elements ported from their previous games. As you progress you can upgrade your soldiers and weapons in various ways to improve your chances of winning. At the end of each stage you'll meet a boss which can be very pyrotechnic and colorful. I highly recommend entering the competition to hopefully win a key. I have throughly enjoyed playing this in small doses over the last few days. There are similarities to their Alien Shooter Tower Defense game that was released earlier this year and was also a competition giveaway some months ago. I'd give this a generous 8 out of 10 for game play, graphics and upgrades. Nice one Sigma Team.
Suggestions:
If you win a key and once you've had an opportunity to play Alien Hallway 2 please take a few moments to give some positive or negative feedback; for example, what you liked or disliked about the game, or how it could be improved. If you don't like the genre at all, please explain why and if any, what improvements would change your mind? Once the competition is over, you can access the comments section by going to the game giveaways home page, then scroll to the bottom of the page where it says Archives and select the date the giveaway was live (giveaway days are in bold type). This will open up the appropriate page for you to post your comment or review (Mon 6th Nov). Alternatively, you can Google the name of the game and include Gamegiveawayoftheday in the search. This should give you a list of links to when this game was given away.
There are thousands of subscribers to the game giveaway of the day every weekend which makes this an ideal forum for giving developers new or fresh ideas as to what their consumers (i.e you) would like to see in a game. For example, you could suggest extra content such as better or more original mini-games, or a level editor that you would like to see that would make it more appealing to you. Maybe you think the graphics are a little dated and are in need of re-skinning, or maybe you've just had enough of the genre and want to see something different or something with more originality? Giving such feedback instead of saying nothing or just saying this game is rubbish or good may bring more developers to the site, which could mean more and better games. Would 'you' give away thousands of copies of a game (or extra content for a game) away to a community that complains all the time instead of giving useful feedback? It only needs a few moments of your time.
This site could be transformed if only the community would be more forthcoming in their opinions of the games they are getting for free instead of complaining about the way this site has changed, for example, they don't like MPC games, they hate HOG's, have had enough of Match Three and Time Management games, or they want to see the latest version of Call of Duty or some other big name AAA game given away or that they don't like Steam games. If something isn't for you then please move on to the next giveaway, or check out the forums HERE, HERE and HERE, where a few members of the community post details of various free games and free game sites as well as links to various indie bundle sites etc; you never know, you may find something that really interests you.
If you miss today's game giveaway you can always get the game via Steam HERE for £7.19/9.99
Problems getting the game to work:
If you're having problems installing or activating or getting Alien Hallway 2 to work please visit the FAQ's Thread HERE and read through the communities comments in case someone has already posted a fix, or alternatively visit the Steam forums.
If for any reason you want to contact the giveaway team, for example, you have a game to offer the community, or are unable to complete all the competition requirements that the FAQ's thread or these comments don't cover or solve you can do so HERE
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Siigma Team for giving away yet another game, and also to the game giveaway team, as always, for securing other ways to get free games.
Useful Information not related to today's game giveaway:
If Alien Hallway 2 doesn't interest you, but you still hanker for something new to play, you'll find details of some game deals whether they be sale items, indie bundles or games being given away for free HERE (I've not updated the thread in a while, but most of the links still take you to the latest deals).
The rest of the information that used to be posted in the game review can be found in the forums HERE. Finally, check out Delenns threads for details of other free games and offers HERE and eslewhere in the game discussion forums HERE, (usually on the first page of the game discussion forums).
The latest Origin giveaway is Plants vs. Zombies Game of the Year Edition. which you can find HERE. If you love Tower Defense, or arcade games in general, this is a fabulous freebie. Like Alien Hallway 2, Plants vs. Zombies It's not like your typical TD game. It's easy to pick up, but hard to stop playing. A fantastic and well balanced arcade game, with brilliant game play and in my opinion one of the best of its kind. You can see a couple of game play videos HERE and HERE.
At the present time (2 days into the giveaway) there's approximately a 1 in 4 chance of winning a key, so it's still well worth entering. Make sure you revisit each day to get the extra 3 entries.
