Alien Accident was available as a giveaway on February 13, 2023!
After being wrecked, the alien machine gathers people to replenish its fuel and move on in search of fellows. Since you cannot take off, you are flying at a low altitude and there is a risk of hitting oncoming cars, be careful.
Alien Accident is a top-down race, a flying saucer and oncoming traffic. It is necessary to collect people for fuel. Do not accelerate too much, fuel runs out much faster. Use trampolines when flying over cars. Your people believe in you!

The game has an option that allows you to turn off the music. However, that option does not work. The music is very annoying to me so I uninstalled the game.

At first from the screenshots I imagined this game might be similar to the 1983 Midway Arcade Game SPY HUNTER which was a fun top down driving game where you try travel as far as possible destroying as many enemies as possible in you Interceptor car and was pretty pretty much a James Bond game in all but name (and license). Here however you play as a low flying UFO after being wrecked and cannot take off fully which of course causes a risk of hitting oncoming cars, tanks, and downed trees that you need to avoid while collecting your lost alien compatriots and people to replenish fuel. In fact the people meter on the left is your fuel meter counting down to zero, and this game is more like an endless runner trying to get as far as possible before your fuel runs out without getting into accidents and the aliens are points. And there are a lot of green alien compatriots-- perhaps it was an invasion. Pressing the up arrow speeds you up but you lose fuel that much faster. Trampolines with arrows are on the highway for some reason and launch you over obstacles like cars but prevent you from collecting the items on the road while in the air. I could imagine the aliens as well as the humans walking and waving their arms rather than just a floating head in the street. There isnt much to the atmosphere or any story beyond the pixel art style graphics and whats in the gameplay, maybe they should have used Area 51 signs. How about animals walking across the road? If you like endless runner type games and something to play for a few minutes on a coffee break, you might enjoy this to see just how far you can go...but otherwise is pretty basic although its listed as version 1.0. Rating: D

I hope everyone had a great weekend. At first I was scratching my head figuring out what game to compare this to and I remembered Spy Hunter from Midway which appeared in multiple compilations across multiple platforms.
You can see a video of that here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93ds1VldZGI
In the mean time the gameplay is pretty straight forward. You have to essentially abduct the humans that are on the road with your UFO. Along the way you will find that there are factors that can affect the game.
You can choose to speed up or take it slow. There are obstacles on the road that will make you jump on the screen. You'll also notice this game is time based and distanced base all in one with syncs with the gameplay style of Spy Hunter.
And you will also find that if you run into too many things the game ends.
For an indie game that gives many glimpses of nostalgia, it's worth a try to see if you like it. But it's not something to play long term. Maybe on a break.

LOL, for those wondering... our reviews posted at the same time and we both thought of Spy Hunter separately- what are the odds of that as its a 1983 game :) I guess instead of Soylent Green is people, in this game its The Fuel... is People! -David (DataDragon)
