I am also getting the crashing. The game will close itself after about one or 1 1/2 levels. It goes to black screen then the desktop, even after switching out of full screen mode.

I finally was able to open the game thanks to 'Hempman'who advised windows XP and vista users to restart the OS. Thanks! : )
I might note that deselecting 'fullscreen' in the options helps too. I too had the 'blank monitor' problem.

For all of you who haven't given the game a chance- go ahead and try it out. It actually doesn't get challenging until after the first 7 stages, then you'll need all those seemingly pointless power-ups you've been harboring.

As far as the presentation of the game goes it's very 'pretty'- perhaps a little too pretty to keep it in the 'everyone' market, but we chicks need pretty games too. ; p
I think this game is ready to package and sell apart from the english errors and poor translation, which is easy to fix (I actually opened the 'text' resource file and changed 'quite game' to 'quit game'- that's all it takes folks!). Hey, if you guys at White magic studio need me to write a stunning storyline for the game, let me know. I can just send you the text file.

I did have the shutdown problem once after about level seven. If they could just fix these small problems this game would be worth the money.
The game play does get very addictive. Maybe adding more levels would be good also. Overall it's a great game if you give it a chance.

This games is one of the largest programs on my computer it takes 136 mb of my memory...other than that I liked it.

We enjoy the game BUT I had crashes the first day (XP) so I uninstalled it and reinstalled twice. The crashes have continued. It plays awhile just fine. Some crashes require turning off the power to the computer because the computer is frozen and won't turn off any other way. Other crashes bring up the message that there is a problem and the program must be closed. When one of us then restarts the game it will play fine a few more rounds. Even though it is a game we like, I will do a final uninstall after the next crash. It is WAY too much bother to keep shutting down when we have so many other good games to play.

Mine crashed, then my windows went to a default monitor driver (HUGE) and couldn't be changed. I had to go back to a previous restore point -- which meant that the activated game was no longer activated. How do I get permission to have this game back? since I had previously successfully activated it?

stupid game keeps crashing like so many countless times. I give up.

Today I am not so happy about the game anymore.

I got a similar ResourcePacker error. I tried installing it on a system running Win ME AND a system running Win 2000 - got the same exact errors so I know its not an OS issue..lol

Guys, those with crashing problem, have you do your windows update? it might be that your windows is not updated OR your graphic card driver is not updated. note that windows update also updates driver..

My PC is 1.9Ghz Amd Athlon with 768mb RAM, 128mb Nvidia GeForce FX5900. Just an old type of PC..but I never had a fatal crash from GOTD games...the only problem is my Samsung LCD sometimes get its refresh rate changed (I still don't know why it happens) when I play certain games that need full screen access. From GOTD, only RIP 1 has done this to me. Once the refresh rate changed, the LCD will display error message and can't display the windows. Thus, I need to use my friends PC to change back the refresh rate of my LCD. Seems complicated? Yeah, but I hope you guys don't get that kind of problem.

Regarding the game, the graphic was awesome and very professional. Maybe "They-who-shall-not-be-named" need to learn how to make a game from White Magic Studio, LOLz =P

For others, who have crashes with 'Access Violation' message: sorry, but I can't solve this problem.

It has crashed after completing almost every level. It seems like a good game, but I gave up after the 7th crash.

Running XP W/SP2, 2Gig DDR mem, 258Meg video ram, Duel Core Centrino running at 2.0 Gz, you would think my laptop could run this game. However it keeps crashing, it took me 5 tries to complete level 3.7 (snow bear?. Not because I ran out of lives, I had 6 more to play with; it just kept crashing. I don't know why, had this problem with almost every level. It took me between 2 and 6 restarts per level to complete each one!

I might have found this game interesting if it would not have kept having error after error after and even froze my system. The first program from GOTD that has given me problems.

Dowloaded ok. But, crashed right away. Froze up my computer. Yes, I have XP. Regretfully, I uninstalled it.

I am again thrilled it is not from Double Games!

Got to give credit to GOTD for today's offer. After a few weeks of entry-level games, this one comes with some professional polish. I've tried it out, and though I'm not super-crazy of the fairy tale motif, it's a high-quality and attractive game. The developer put some effort into this one. Certainly one that I will hold on to...

This is a very fun game. Good graphics. I don't know if its my computer or the software, but it crashes a lot. Restarts right away, but appears a little buggy. I don't have this problem with any other games I've downloaded, so I am assuming it is the game. I very much appreciate all the game downloads. Its a great way to pass a few leisure minutes.

Fun game, but it's crashed several times for me too, and i'm not on Vista.

Downloaded the game no problems no problems activating it but when I go to play tells me bass.dll is missing when it is not missing how do I correct this.

Installation didn't work well, error in Resourceunpacker (Windows message) and a Runtime error (game message). Finished installation, though. When starting up the game, runtime error message comes up again. Can't play. Forget it. Sorry, but thumb(s) down.

Looks good, nice graphics, nice audio & good gameplay.

But, it crashes randomly. Which is no good. No good at all.

I tried bosting the priority level to High with no effect.

This is a cool game if you have a few minutes to waste, or a child to entertain. It is a keeper.

In light of some excellent reviews already, I just want to add that the graphics truly are beautiful, professional and a pleasure to see while you play your game.

The only similarity between this and other 'inlays' is that this is more complex in its game play and FAR more enjoyable. :)

The new download, installed and activated well, however it still crashes after about 10 mins., giving me this error:

Kind of a fun game, but I enjoy inlay puzzles. Thanks GGOTD! No problems with my particular dinosaur of an XP.

This is a truly beautiful, well thought out game that is gorgeous to look at and lovely to play.

Suitable also for children, but not childish by difficulty this is a game that anyone of any age would surely get amusement from.

After a flawless installation (XP Home SP2), the detail of the game was the first thing that struck me; from the beautiful, sparkling jewelled cursor to the magical names that reside at default in the High Scores page, the whole game is just so intricate and joyous to look at.

First you are told of the background of the quest - a real traditional sounding fairytale that is as engaging as it is magical. There are no instructions pages which make the game uniquely easy to pick up - instructions appear throughout the game to highlight different features. This is ingenious as it does not bog you down with rules - you learn each rule step by step and as you move on through the levels the game gets more difficult with extra features that are pointed out as you go along.

The art and graphics are genuinely superb and this really is a game the whole family can enjoy, perhaps devising family competitions as the score board records highest points.

With relaxing music that is not irrating to go seeking the mute feature, yet is nevertheless there, this is an easy to pick up little timewaster that is definitely a great download for having on your pc for school holidays - and for those many moments of the day you are "on hold" from work ;-)

White Magic Studio have seemingly gone to a lot of effort offering their game here today as "Giveawayoftheday.com" was seemingly supposed to be advertised within the game, made of glittering letters. Unfortunately the developers have misspelled the URL and have called it the no-such-domain-named giveawayofAday.com but nevertheless the sentiment was there and this shows that they did not just give their softwaren over to GAOTD, they really thought about it and put extra work into it before offering it here today.

Have not installed yet, just a note to XP/Vista users. Remember how picky thes OS' are. If the program is crasing, try rebooting so the system sees the new libraries.

I really like this game and would like to play it more but I am on the third level and it has crashed 3 times, the first required a complete restart of my computer. I am running windows xp so not a vista problem with me. Anyone have any ideas ? Thanks for all the great free games !!

I have played about 10 levels so far, and the program has crashed 4 times. I don't think it's my computer, as I haven't had problems with any other games. Not a bad game (I like this type), but rather frustrating.

#22 says- "Ahhh… too fairy talish for me"- and then uses "Dragon" as his screen name, too funny.

When I first started the game up, it kept closing without warning. Then it started to minimize without me clicking on anything, and I got the warning that says 7 Lands has a problem and needs to close. Once I restarted the game, though, it played very well with no problems whatsoever. I only played 5 levels, though, so I don't know if there are problems with higher levels.
