I didn't really like this game that well. There are far better match three games out there that are much more enjoyable. My biggest complaint is the sound effects. When you match the jewels, the sound effect that goes with it is annoying. I was only able to play it for a short while before it started getting on my nerves. It sounded like someone walking on crunchy snow or something. I also felt that on some levels, they don't allow enough time to complete it. I don't understand adding a lot of other tasks to be completed and then limiting the time to where it's too difficult to finish. On a scale of 1 to 100 I only give it about a 65.

HI!
Another quick download on 8.1. Opened a little slower, but still quick! I had the first
element and played it through and thoroughly enjoyed it! I remember a couple of the higher
levels being harder, but still finished fairly easy! The graphics are great! I liked the
opening and played through a few levels! I think it is more interesting and different than
the usual match games! The levels became a little more difficult early one, which I like!
I am not sure I like turning pipes etc., time consuming really, but still rate the game
above others and enjoyable!
Thanks for a great game and have a great week,
Lee

I'll have to try that on my weird display issue on my 8.1 laptop. I made a note. The laptop is turned off until at least tomorrow morning.

Match 3 games can be so ho-hum and all the same, but these with the "moving boards" are the best ones and are my all time favorites.
I lost all my games to a bad drive a couple months ago, so I appreciate the games from the GAOTD team to help me fill up the new HDD.
Thanks Game GAOTD and Playrix.

Oh this is a fun one! Downloaded and installed quickly to my Win 10 without any problems. I played the first 8 levels and haven't had any issues with it even though I have a widescreen. I didn't have it windowed either. It is such a pretty game.
2 for 2 this weekend has been a great one! Thank you GGAOTD and Whiterabbit. Its always a highlight of my weekend to see what you have to offer. Oh, and a big thanks to Playrix for today's excellent game!

The cursor/pointer won't show. I can use the keyboard to create my player name. But, without a pointer, I can't point and click on the book to get the game started. Windows 10, 64-bit. It looks like other commentators don't have this issue. Not sure why I do. This is the first application/game that this has ever happened to on this laptop. Rebooted and tried again, plugged in a mouse, etc. no luck. Ctrl+Alt+Del gets me out of the game screen and my cursor is there in all other programs.

Ever since that has been added, I am unable to install any of the games. It activates, but doesn't install.

Win 10 64 bit Home. I too had the problem of it not running in full screen mode. Went to properties and clicked on Compatibility and then clicked on resolution to 640 x 480 screen. Apply. Works in full screen now. Thank you for the game as I had lost a hard drive last week and now look forward to all the games I've lost.

Fast download and isntallation - works find under Win10 - I am not sure if I played the first part of this game but a match 3 for distraction is never bad ;-)
Great graphics (but nowadays you mostly get good graphics).
Thanks again for this cool game.

feedback, ror nice game.
installed on two different windows 7's. One win7 pro 64 no problem, the other win 7 ultimate 64, locked up with "the Graphics Mode Jump" at game excutable startup. (e.g. I ran the executable file 4 elements.exe) Leaving situation with black screen and Large white mouse Icon, and Locked up computer, hit zee power switch reboot death. lol
after several attempts/lockups/reboots, one reinstall, and a a massive coffee push moar attention; I noticed one windows 7 has a different firewall and I must have it denied this games executable file, as I clicked the application in PrivateFirewall, the other one TinyWall never missed a beat. Anyway.. Fix my own glitched firewall rule - Boom Solved. Yeah as other said awesome Graphics! I Love that CUTE Little MOUSE.
hindsight: The reason it got blocked is cause right as game started up, PrivateFirewall popped up rules dialoge (bottom right of screen) for applications, I tried to say accept but clearly I clicked no. Since other software firewalls are similar this may be the solve for you too. ie fix your process monitor/firewall rule . FOr the perfectionist, ADD the rule before executing the file

This game downloaded quickly, installed easily, and runs perfectly on 2 different Win 8.1 laptops (Dell and Acer). Perhaps my having an Nvidia display card and current drivers help eliminate any problems, I don't really know why others have reported issues with Win 8.1. I loved the original game, so I knew this one would be a keeper. ;) Beautiful graphics, interesting mix of match 3 and puzzles, easy enough for kids and relaxing for all. Appreciate WR's usual detailed review and screen captures, and a huge thanks once again to Playrix and GGOTD for a great game!

It's just past noon here in Texas, and I've downloaded and installed the game on my HP desktop computer with Windows 10. No problems, it is a beautiful game, and I'm surprised I haven't played the 1st one, so I'll download and play it, then get back to this one. (I think the big nose of the magic wizard-guy on the logo lead me to believe the game was more cartoon-ish, so I avoided it.)
I use Emsisoft as my anti-malware protection (there's a discount here: http://thundercloud.net/emsisoft/) and never have any problems with false-positives, or installing anything, though sometimes I have to put what I know are trusted sites or programs on the "white list." It also has a "game mode" setting, which is nice.
Thanks so much Whiterabbit, Playrix, and GGOTD for both yesterday's and today's games.

Sounds like great choice concerning Windows 7. My computer guy,(build, repair, and sell), talked me into the progression from 7 through 10. I was very very satisfied with 7 and I've been into this since before Windows 95, but since the support for 7 is going away, I decided to make the transformation in steps to 10.
As I mentioned, I am now happy with 10 since the fixes as explained above. It is definitely the fastest and smoothest machine I have ever owned. It's always a pain trying to get used to a different version of the OS but I am getting there. I am fortunate to have my friend who has the business to help guide me along and is only a phone call away.
All the best to you and your family.

I like this game! DING DING WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER! 2 (TWO) in a row! Wowzers! (No, I do not want to autocorrect wowzers to howitzers. That would be the opposite of what I mean!)
Truthfully, though, two Match 3 games in a row.... Well, I am only going to play one at once. Yesterday's is SUPER COOL! So, it will be awhile before I get to this one.

Thanks so much for this game. The first 5 Elements was my favorite game for years. I still like the first one better, but this game is still better than most games! Don't miss downloading it!! By the way, I am protected by AVG Free and I have to suspend protection every time I download a game here. Just a warning to those who can't get the game to install correctly. My computer will download the game, but won't install it unless I suspend AVG protection.

Hi, Cheers to GGOTD and Playrix entertainment for Today's Gift! Really cute Family Game and equally cheerful graphics. For those (like myself) not too keen on 'match3' Games - this one deserves to be treated with kind heart and interest. Started playing it and so far really enjoyed thoroughly pleasant story-line and tasks. Often what looks like merely a 'child's play' can appeal and inspire an older mind to have a go and tackle a decent challenge this Game definitely presents. Recommended with thanks. Ps. Speaking of 'child's play' on main GOTD.., oh dear, oh dear, seems like the Pantomime Season will never end?.. Shame it's less and less 'entertaining' for those who don't suffer fools gladly! Sad and so, so unnecessary!:(( Pleasant Evening All. Here in UK clear, fresh, sunny Sunday, drawing to dusk, but only just.. Days are positively longer, buds on trees, bushes, ground, ..spring in the air?:)

Hi Stephen. I echo all of the plaudits to you for your tenacity in keeping this segment of the Giveaway franchise going.
I am glad to see Elements being offered. In upgrading to Windows 10 from Windows 8.1 I lost a lot of my Game Giveaway games among other things also. This also happened when moving from Windows 7 to Windows 8 so I'm now hoping to retrieve some of the lost games if and/or when they become available. There's plenty of other games left so I've decided to wait and see what shows up back here.
This game loaded in Windows 10/64 and I have played into the first scene but am busy right now and will be getting back to it later. I'm not anticipating any problems with though thanks to all of the great comments from those who have Windows 10.
I installed the newest 10 upgrade two days ago and I'm wonder if that might be a factor in whether that would impact your difficulty in making it work.
I was dubious but after some hiccups, this is so far the fastest and best version of Windows I have used. The hiccups btw involved disabling some add-ons i.e. 3 Bing, 2 AVG, and 1 MSN.
Regards.

Downloaded and runs fine on my Win7 laptop. Enjoyed the last version I got from here years ago, and played the first few levels of this one too and expect to enjoy finishing it as well, tho its pretty easy so far, but I know the difficulty will increase later, just a bit of a wait to get to the more challenging levels.
thanks for this latest installment of an old favourite!

This is certainly my lucky weekend! I like this one a lot, too! I have Windows 10 and have had no problem with the game freezing. I like that this one is different from the usual Match 3's. It's not a matter of making matches - it's making matches in the right place.

I love this game and have played thru several times. My 7yo grand likes it too. Turn off the timer for him which is helpful. I have downloaded previously from Gametop, but downloaded this one so I don't get sent to Gametop website when I end the game. (Gametop gets flagged sometimes as a dangerous site.)
Here is the very small problem: On both my Win7 and Win8.1 systems, the game shows data in white - fps, mem, active task, used memory, etc. It's not a big issue, but an annoyance. Did not happen with the Gametop version. Is there a way to get rid of them? (Sorry, I don't know how to include a screen shot...)
Thanks!

The original was terrific fun so hoping for more of same since I actually took game to total end. This version looks like has some new twists thrown in. First one was a series of chain bustings w/o any sidelines. That played fairly up to last 4-5 layouts that took a few tries to get done. Honestly remember that game as one all time classic for me. Let's see if they haven't messed up with this attempt. If anywhere as good it's a 10 for me.

I have this game from survey points used for Alawar. It works fine on my Windows 7 desktop but there is a display issue with my Windows 8.1 laptop. The game works fine but there is a flicker echo of two displays back and forth. I've tried the other sources for the game on that device and it's not the build - it's the game. I have one or two other Playrix Games that do it. The first 4 Elements doesn't do it.
I've decided it's something in my display adapter and there is no update so I'm just stuck with playing the game when I'm up to the distraction of that display issue - or playing on Windows 7.
It's still a great game.

Just a warning to folks here: a few weeks back (before Christmas) I purchased Royal Envoy 3 Collector’s Edition. It installed fine and played well... until I got to Level 48. At that point, money earned evaporated as soon as I tried to put it in my "bank" and as such, I am unable to progress in the game. I contacted Playrix twice now, and have gotten no response as of this date. This, mind you, for a game I PURCHASED... and I purchased it because I have enjoyed the other games from Playrix that I got here. This is making me rethink my strategy of purchasing their games, rather than just siphon them off when they are offered here $FR.EE.
Buyer beware!

Hello Whiterabbit,
I can confirm that this game works with Windows 10 Home 64bit.
As I had some problems with other Playrix games running in Fullscreen mode I would suggest that you try to run this in a window. The window for this game uses a wide screen format (16:9) like my monitor. The games I had issues with, for example Pahelica, show up in an old SVGA format (4:3) in a window.

Well, the good news is that this game works fine on Windows 8. I never tried to update to 8.1 and have seen horrors changing to 10, so I will stay with what I have.
The one thing I could do without is the constant narrative and having to click through seemingly endless boards that aren't part of game play. I don't know why the game designers insist on putting all that junk in there, but I don't find that it adds anything to the game.

windows 8.1: no problem installing and game runs smoothly - just finished level 9. I usually prefer the swapping match3 type but I like the 4Elements ones for their variety. Thanks for giving the opportunity to play this one again.

This is a stylish gem that should be added to your collection. Combining elements of Match3, HOG and logic puzzle. Smooth, crisp graphics and game play create an engaging playing experience. It is a rare thing for me to add a Match3 to my collection due to the large number of them available. I added this one to my collection without giving it a second thought. Puzzle Hero is still favorite, but this is definately in my top three. Grap this jewel up or you will regret it. Two thumbs up.

I was able to install on my Windows 10 desktop with no problems. I had the original 4 Elements game and really enjoyed it. I've only gone beyond the very beginning in this one, but so far everything is functioning as it should. Finding the parts needed is initially easy and then a little more challenging, but I wasn't afraid to use the help button! I find the game graphics appealing and the flow of the story seems very well done. I also find the music - so far - relaxing.
I'm off to download onto my laptop. Thank you GOTD and Playerix for another great game. This one is a definite keeper.

Installed and (so far) works perfectly for me in Windows 10 64-bit -- I've played to the end of Air/Pegasus, including the hidden object sequence at the beginning, with no object selection difficulties. However, this is not on a widescreen monitor, which might be what's causing whiterabbit's problems. I have another machine (32-bit and much slower) with a widescreen monitor on so I'll test there too. I'll report back if I can confirm the problem.
Oh; and although this reports as a match three game, and I guess it sort of is, it's unusual in that you're only able to see a small part of the (often huge) playing field at a time, with the objective to clear a path for an energy flow to a target at the end. I guess it's a bit of a guilty pleasure: the first 4 Elements game was given away here some time back and I enjoyed it. This is little different in terms of gameplay but is much better implemented; the variations in gameplay keep it interesting and although it starts easy some of the screens are very hard to complete in the time available. If you enjoyed its predecessor, it's definitely well worth the upgrade price :)
Save | Cancel
Downloaded, installed (this installs rather than just extracting) and plays so far just fine on Win 8.1. Really like the idea of taking the old 4 Elements, which I enjoy, and adding some other kinds of puzzles, etc. to the match games though I've only played the early level. BUT I really HATE that even in "full screen" mode, it doesn't seem to like the most common widescreen resolutions, filling the screen horizontally but with black bars on top and bottom.
Another annoyance is the fact that even after you exit (which typically with Playrix takes multiple clicks) a video wants to play; luckily you can just click Skip, but why? Overall, though, thumbs up despite relatively minor annoyances.

I had no issues with the game downloading, it took about a minute. The game file itself was not corrupt - some members have at times downloaded games from here and had them be corrupt once the download finished, which is why I added this info.
Playrix games, as is usually the case, installed smoothly without any hiccups. You can use the default install location, or if you are anal like I am, you can redirect the install path; in my case all the games are placed into a Games directory.
This game does install a desktop icon to start the game as well as their usual advertising icon to 'Play more Playrix Games'. If this second icon clutters up your desktop, you can delete it without causing any problems with the game functionality.
I put it on the system which is running Windows 10 Home and there was no issue with installation as I mentioned. I started the game, made adjustments in the Options and then let the game start.
I do not have time right now to actually play the game, however, up until this point in the game there were no issues or problems that I detected.
Thanks to Playrix and the Giveaway group! :)
Thanks also to our moderator, White Rabbit, who not only takes the time to test these games but to also write up an in-depth commentary on the games here. Plus he patiently moderates the posted comments in the comments section here.
