This game was offered February 23rd? Now it's March 15th and I finished it. Admittedly I never played more than a couple of levels per day. And dang, there were a few levels where I really wasn't being entertained, a couple that got kinda stressful and ONE that I had to restart 54 times before I got through. (I think it was 42 or 43.) But I'm here to say that it can be done. 50 levels plus multiple bonus levels and a level 51 endgame Boss. AND I MADE IT! Whoo-hoo!
This was the best game GGOTD ever offered. Awesome. If this company ever wants to share anything else, I hope you jump on it. I would actually recommend this game to people even if they were buying it. This was fun! And no, in spite of the cute Robo character and the simplicity of some of the early levels, this gets really hard about half way in and extremely challenging past level 40 or so. Definitely not a game for kids unless you want them to smash their keyboard in frustration. I don't know if anyone here monitors new comments or goes back and notices additions to past game comments sections, but thank you so much, GGOTD, for Robbox. This was fantastic.

Just noted that someone said that this would appeal to kids - BE CAREFUL! The first 15 levels or so seem pretty darn easy, then things get really tough - sometimes almost impossible, but they are possible and every level contains enough goodies to get you through without buying anything extra. But sometimes those extras come in VERY handy. My almost-13 yr. old liked it to start, but didn't care for the difficulty later on and found other GGotD games more to his liking and hasn't returned.

For some, it's the challenge that get you coming back for more. For others, it's the same challenge that takes away the entertainment and sends them off for one of the MANY match-3's here...

Another wonderful game GAOTD. WoooHooo!! This is my kind of game. My 8 year old grandson has me beat seven ways to Sunday on the "fastest finger" games for sure but these "thinkers" are the ultimate. I have played the demos of 3 of Everett Kasers Heroes Hearts thanks to a poster here. I will definitely be trying out Chips Challenge and Sokoban. I have 2 games of Fitznik by Screaming Duck that are very similar to Robbox but the action at times is pretty quick. The hero in that one is a bipedal wolf and there are bombs but no "pullers" or power ups to buy and there are spiders, fire spitting cobras and Stalker Bots that behave like the worms in Heroes Hearts.

Thanks again GAOTD for the time and effort that you put into this site to bring us all the wonderful time wasters. ;)

Cheers...

Great game, thank you GGOTD. I'm enjoying this one a lot. The same thing with Realore's Turtle Odyssey II, a GGOTD from a couple of weeks ago. My question is can anyone recommend a good joystick I can use with this game and Turtle Odyssey II? I can't reach some of the special areas on level 6.1 of Turtle Odyssey II and I'm sure I could use the joystick on this game also.

On my first XP system (Compaq Presario sr1625nx desktop, 3GB, AMD 4400, evga e-GeForce 7600 GT KO 256 MB) I was able to change the resolution to the game's highest (1024 x 768) without any problem.

On my second XP system (HP Pavilion dv9033cl notebook, 2GB, Intel T5500, nVidia GeForce GO 7600 256 MB) I was NOT able to change the resolution from the game's default to the highest.

Instead, after pressing the Apply Settings, I got an error window: ERROR! (the title bar), and "Memory Access Violation" (no other info), with an OK button to close it.

If the game was in the default full screen, after pressing the OK button the game simply crashed/ended and disappeared.

On the next attempt, I chose to turn off the "full screen" feature, then after pressing the Apply button the game would appear "windowed" (smaller, as expected), then the game would crash and the error window would appear again.

However, after pressing the OK button on the error window I next got a generic Microsoft window "robbox.exe had encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience... Please tell Microsoft about this problem. We have created an error report that you can send..."

(There were, of course, the "technical details" that I will not include here -- way too much info -- but if the developers would like a copy they can leave a request in the forum which I'll check for a while.)

Note that both of those options (that, if changed, caused the problems) are in the "Advanced" options.

The game did play OK on the second system if I simply played with the default settings; i.e., made no changes to resolution or full screen mode.

Through trial and error I finally discovered I could get to the game's high resolution setting by changing the Advanced settings one at a time and exiting then re-launching the game after each one to make the changes stick. So on that second system it finally ended up working if I did this: reduced the 32-bit Color Depth setting to 16-bit, then change from full screen to windowed, then change to the max resolution, then back to full screen, then back to 32-bit.

Whew, finally! Thanks for a fun game, but please figure out the problems!
