CaesarQuest is a new point and click physics based puzzle game from Wheemplay. Hide good caesar from falling stones, and drop the evil caesar our from level!
Pot the ball in to the hole! Guide your ball to the end of the level by choosing the correct path. Be careful as the levels have several obstacles that you need to avoid.
Can you figure out what lines and shapes to cut threw to make the timepiece get to the goal? Cut and slice the environment to get the ball to the portal. Meet Mechanism 3, a winner of Intel Level Up 2010 Judge’s Choice Award: “Best Art Design” and a 2nd Place in “Best Game on a Netbook”.
Installation: Once again, a single executable file extracts from the GGotD download, nothing is installed or inserted into the registry or your system. Deleting the game executable removes ALL traces of it from your system.
Game: You can control the main ball with either keyboard or mouse. The object of the game is to move the ball around the board, collecting as many stars as possible before exiting the level. Levels increase in difficulty as the board layout becomes more intricate and you also encounter enemy balls which divert your course and black holes which you have to avoid.
The graphics are a world away from yesterday’s offering, they are much better. It is a simple game concept, but it is not a simple game to play all the way thru the levels. It does require thought on how to best traverse the course so as to be able to get the most stars before finishing up and exiting to the next level. The game has 50 levels overall.
Additionally: A game level editor is included so you can make up your own game levels. Basic controls include on/off for music and sound effects. Hitting the Esc key closes the game down, there is no Exit key in the game main menu.
Overall: This is a much nicer looking game than the Yellow Adventure was. The levels do get challenging as you advance and with there being 50 of them, it will keep you playing for some time. I’d rate this game 6 out of 10. Being free is a great bonus, however it is well worth the asking price.

Thanks for the review Fred; it’s always appreciated when a community member takes the time to post something constructive.
Comment by Fred — February 13th, 2011 at 3:22 amI don’t think I would play this on my PC, but if this was a game for the Android platform I would definitely be interested. I might try it out anyway and then look for a similar game in the Android Market. Thanks for the games this weekend. It’s always nice to get 2 games on the weekend instead of 1 or none. I wish the game giveaway site was more popular with devs so we could get more games!

I believe if we got plenty of constructive feedback from the community Developers would see this as an opportunity to test their games out on the community. As it stands though it says a lot when less than 1% of downloaders even bother to leave a comment let alone any constructive comments either positive or negative. Until community members do leave more appropriate/useful feedback; (which from my own experience is very unlikely) I doubt we will get more games unless you were forced to leave a comment to be able to download the next game. (This could be achieved by giving each member whose bothered to leave a comment an unlock key for the next download. You would only be able gain access to the next giveaway after leaving a comment via this unlock code . This would certainly cut down on the number of downloads, but it would hopefully increase the number of useful comments that could eventually have a snowball effect, bringing in loads of premium games. (Just a though). So far today ‘over 5 hours into the giveawa’y we’ve had only three comments (including my short review) yet there has been nearly 3000 downloads this morning.
I don’t know why people can’t see the reasoning that I give above. I’ve been saying this on and off for a couple of years now, but i’ve yet to see any improvement in the quality of comments. (Not implying that we don’t get such comments; just not enough of them)
