This is a great game. I have 3 aquariums with gold cups and it is still fun.

Morning all, Snoozles here.

It is a very nice game. Whiterabbit's review is spot on, can't add much to that other than I have not experienced any problems at all! The retail price is too high for today's economy and for what the game does. $9.95 would probably open up the market quite a bit more, and end up being more profitable.

My Scoring:
Download and installation – 10
Registration process – 9
Graphic Appearance in Game – 10
Background and Colour – 10
Audio – 9
Game Play – 9
Replay Ability – 9
Originality – 9
Retail Cost - 6

Total 9 out of 10 - Great stuff!!

Thanks to WhiterabbitUK, GGOTD, posters to the forum and especially Playrix! Cheers.

Thanks for all the great reviews whiterabbit. This is a very nice, easy match-3 game with a relaxing screensaver, which you build by adding fish, decorations and items to keep the fish happy. Music reminds me of another game, Aquaball. Very colorful, enjoyable for both kids and adults.

Really nice match three game with a Holiday theme. Not a fan of the tank building/screensaver aspect (I don't really use it), but still fun.

First of all, I want to wish everyone here a very, happy, healthy, joyest new year. Lets hope 2012 is a better year for all of us. I seldom if ever post here, but I do stop by from time to time on the weekends in hopes of finding a nice game. This game is perfect. As another poster already mentioned, this is a perfect way to kill a little time.
I like these match 3 games. The graphics are nice and my wife loves the music that plays in the backround.

Happy holidays to all. Peace for 2012 :)

I too have this game from last year, still have it and still love it. The only improvement I would suggest is (as several others have noted previously), more tanks/more sets of items to buy for the tanks.

I'm guessing that Playrix made the 3 seasonal Fishdom games (Spooky Splash, Frosty Splash, and whatever the Thanksgiving one was called) with just one tank apiece because they considered them more of a novelty than the "main" games (Fishdom and Fishdom 2). Or maybe because all 3 holiday-themed ones are included in Seasons Under the Sea, and 3 tanks are probably enough for one game.

Whatever the reason, it's still a great game, especially for free. And I echo the compliments above for the great graphics, which is true of just about all the Playrix games I've played. And there are a lot of Playrix games on my Favorites list.

So, once again, thanks to Playrix and Whiterabbit and the GGOTD team!

I want to say that I downloaded this last year...it's a very addictive game and has an untimed mode, which I GREATLY appreciate. I don't have the patience to fight with a timer. The fish and decorations are sometimes a little cheesy, but after all, it's Christmas-themed! This is by FAR my FAVORITE Fishdom game, mostly because of the untimed mode. It's a game where I can just relax and play for hours! I'm probably at level 3000 or higher by now...the levels just repeat again, of course, but the point is I can keep playing!

Thanks again, GGAOTD!

I lost my previous Fishdoms when I had to change computers, so I was pleased to have this one (new to me) in their place. It installed quickly and easily on Windows 7 64-bit, and runs perfectly. (After an admittedly brief test-drive.)

The graphics are as usual bright and cheerful - so bright and cheerful that I didn't download the first one I saw offered, thinking it looked a little twee. But in fact the gameplay is interesting enough to make up for that slight defect, and it does mean that the game is safe and fun for anyone to play.

It's basically a Match-3, which begins at a very easy level and then goes on as far as you want to take it, getting harder all the way. The items to be matched are quite distinct, so it's easier for those whose eyes are perhaps past their best years, as well as those who are just beginning. By matching sets you can earn money with which to buy fish, plants and air pumps etc for your tank.

The music is pleasant, but if it becomes annoying after a while you can easily turn it down or right off, and then play your preferred choice during the game if you wish.

All in all the Fishdom group is an enjoyable set of games to fill some time, as much or as little as you have spare - though I dare you to play just one game . . . there's always one more plant you can almost buy for your tank, or one more lonely fish looking for a partner.

This is well worth a download. If you're new to Fishdom, give this one a try - even if it doesn't suit you, the grandchildren will love it!

I downloaded the last Fishdom on my laptop and enjoyed playing it a lot. This frosty edition is just as fun. I was hoping to turn my desktop into an aquarium but noticed that the tank doesn't go the full width of a widescreen monitor. A suggestion for future releases is to allow the tank to expand to the dimensions of the screen.

The relaxed mode is nice for higher levels but you gain more money in timed mode. There's a toggle to turn the timer on and off in the options menu so it's easy to switch modes when the matches get harder.

Overall, I enjoy this game. Thanks GOTD team and Playtix for today's download.

I got this the last time it was offered and it's always good for a relaxing bit of time. It is a graphic wonder.

I have over 2 million points and have never lost a game. However, I was wondering...my game only has the ONE aquarium. Does this install have the 3 aquariums it says it should???? I would reinstall and lose all my points if it does because I really like this type of no brainer game at times...especially after one of my migraines.

Thanks Playrix and the GGOTD team for a great time waster. And thanks Wrascally Wabbit for his review.

Happy New Year to All!

Ok Win 7 x64. Wasn't going to try yet another Match 3 but the glowing comments won me over for quick go. Yup, a keeper. Hardly need relaxed mode and guess can switch to/from timed mode. Has just enough options (sound & music, screen res). Plays fair - like only need to get golden squares as far as I've gotten. Thus don't need to open all squares or locked squares, just get golden ones. Helps when becomes hard to open a side to have blocks fall down to lower panels. Fish tank is neat to push you on as a goal. Thanks and to a better 2012 & games!

I will head on over to their website a buy a game or two so they can keep on providing games for free and for profit.

Thank you GAOTD and Playrix for a delightful game. Most certainly will enjoy this. HAPPY NEW YEAR everyone - enjoy and staff safe. Off to gameland now. *<8-)

Thank you for your assistance, changing my browser allowed me to download the game. I will take this opportunity to thank the game developers and this site's admins for allowing us to download these fun games. Now for the Fishdom series of match 3 games I have downloaded them at different times when they became available on this site and I have consistently enjoyed them : I enjoy the bright cheerful colors, the simple interface and sometimes when the sounds and music gets too much , well your computer does have a sound control! They are a great way to relax doing something simple and pleasant for a little while after a long day at work. I have bought them for relatives after enjoying them myself. Thanks again.

Much as I love Match-3's, I wasn't sure about the large-ish, almost 'cutesy' look of this, but decided to give it a go, after reading the 8 (so far) comments - and I'm sort of glad I did.

The gameplay is simple, straightforward and responsive so that I think it would be fine on a laptop's mousepad - and possibly even on an old-school 'ball' mouse.

I went through the (aimed-at-children) tutorial ok, but it didn't mention the bombs, firecrackers or rockets, so when I came across them in real gameplay, I had no idea what to do with them (I didn't read your review, Whiterabbit - my bad!). In common with some other Match-3's, it was only some time AFTER I'd found out that that moving them to make a match next door exploded them that the Tip came up on the tank screen (though that tip did contain the extra 'double-clicking' information). I suppose that as they're essentially just shortcuts (ie, this is a puzzle game, so you should work it out yourself), this lack of information is understandable, but then again, the explosive tiles are programmed in as an integral part of the game (otherwise, why would you get a bonus 'lightning' tile for using seven of them?) - as are the tips - so I just find it somewhat annoying.

The building-up of a screensaver is an intriguing idea, though not unique (one of the Atlantis series (I think) offers the same sort of thing) - but I think the prices for fish and comfort, in particualr, do rise a little too steeply for a game - though I suppose they simply reflect real life.

Still, I do like the game overall, and will be keeping it.

This is a pretty nice little time-waster really, as others have said above. Match 3 is not my favourite genre but it's good to vague out on for a bit sometimes. The feel of it is friendly and relaxed, and a nice change from Bejewelled2 (the only other match3 in my regular games collection, although others have come and gone from time to time).

The aquarium is a nice distraction - I personally don't favour it as a screensaver, but it's cool to look at and upgrade in-between levels. It also adds a sense of purpose in trying to get a good score (although I can't figure out how the score translates to bonus cash yet) or do another level.

I wish I had one of the regular themed ones, the Xmas/Winter-in-the-Northern-Hemisphere thing doesn't really work for me ;) Still, it's got a pleasant atmosphere, looks good, and plays well (so far anyway!).

Thanks to Playrix and GGotD for today's giveaway, all in all a keeper for me! :o)

I agree with poster #7, it would be nice if there had been an option for multiple themed tanks (like a gingerbread one, one with snow-fish, and perhaps one with 'classic' Christmas decor).
However, I love Playrix games, and have purchased many in the past - including Fishdom, and I know this will be just as much fun. It's always nice to have a change up in my games during a holiday season.

Hello, I still have this game on my PC from last year (too^^), it's really cool, but there's one thing I would change if I could: more tanks ;-) I was searching a while ago through the www, but couldn't find more tanks unfortunately, I guess they didn't create more than this one for this version of the game. But it's a cool game though, thumbs up and thanks to GAOTD and GGAOTD for all the programs and games, happy new year :-)

Happy New Year GGOTD! Thanks for another great year of opportunities to play some great games. This game is another addition to the Fishdom series. Downloaded using Windows7 64bit and a window prompt popped up asking if I wanted to download using recommended settings. Once clicked the game downloaded perfectly. This is your typical match 3 but holiday themed. The animation is excellant quality and the scenes delightful. There is the option to use a screeensaver which is checked by default so if you don't want the screensaver uncheck the box before exiting the game. Thanks Playrix for another enjoyable game!!

I have 3 of the Fishdom games, and they are all enjoyable and very playable, although not challenging - but I don't think they are aimed at old-timers like me...As WR said, they could be spiced up with more mini-games and varied types of offerings that could be bought BUT, I don't really play for the challenges because one of the biggest draws of Playrix games is the sheer beauty of the designs. IMHO they are one of the best game developers in terms of great looking graphics for the game types and that adds immensely to their appeal. Right now I have over a dozen of their games on my laptop alone; all play well on it (a 2YO Toshiba w/Intel graphics, nothing special) so that's a big part of their a draw for me and I've usually got one or another up every single day - they just don't get boring if I rotate!

So I don't think anyone who likes draw-3 games can go wrong with this or any of the Playrix games because they've mastered the trifecta of appeal for us laptop geeks - they play on minimal hardware, they all look great, and they have enough game appeal to play over and over again - congrats Playrix, I keep rating you highly for that, and the Fishdom series is a great example of your skill - well done. 9/10 in my book, because I'm happy to play games that don't challenge me a great deal most of the time.
----------------------------
Stephen - I hope you had a good Christmas, and wish you and your family a safe, prosperous and Happy New Year; from here in upstate NY (where we've only had a couple inches of snow so far this season compared to the SIX FEET we had by this time last year)...
I wish you well, and thanks for all you do here -

You are correct AGuy, but it's not acceptable to tell everyone as it is basically breaking the 24 hour rule that once the 24hrs is over you shouldn't be reinstalling them. Playrix and other developers give these games away on the understanding that they are not installed and activated after the 24hr period is over; so any information that is posted that tells you how to break this ruling will be deleted.

Regards

W.R.

Great game - I'd be grabbing a copy for my new laptop if I hadn't already bought it from Amazon last week.

Amazon is a great place to buy games, because much like Steam, your games are stored in an online library where they can be reinstalled anytime you like. It was well-worth the three-fifty Amazon charged me to avoid having to wait for a giveaway. I just checked and they still have this game on sale - might want to grab a copy if, like me, this game is one of your favorites.
