These programs are not freeware, they’re shareware offered for free for one day only on a conditional basis. Conditions being no free tech support, no free upgrades, no commercial use. Very same conditions as the unregistered version of Clickteam’s Install Maker Pro.

Versions offered here are the same as you would download and pay for the very next day. That’s the point. Programs with executables compiled by unregistered Install Maker Pro are not EVER supposed to sold, no commercial use, same as GOTD.

Remember E-Book Maestro and the downloaders who were angry when told they could never SELL E-Books compiled with the GOTD offer due to the special license agreement of NO COMMERCIAL USE? It’s the same thing, think about it. GOTD did absolutely nothing wrong by offering the game for free for one day, the developer is doing wrong by selling the same game on any other day.

Have you seen the graphics Melanie? Calling the clothes the same color as the body isn’t what I would call naked. lol

And besides, everyone I know was born naked. And anybody whom tells you differently isn’t to be trusted.

I, for one, appreciate those who took time to warn others about the contents of the game, which are not apparent from the dl page. I’m not going to scream about GOTD offering it, but would like to suggest that perhaps in the future, you should consider using a simple “possible offensiveness” warning? Then people can make up their minds before wasting time and effort dl’ing and installing only to find something that they don’t want.

Thanks for all you do, I (usually) love your service!

Re Pauloparra #42, #43, #45, see #39 JesseB’s comment. The screen you were seeing doesn’t mean you didn’t have a full registered version of the game. What it means is that the developer of the game is using an unregistered version of Install Maker Pro by Clickteam to create the installation file for the game.

Unregisted versions of Install Maker Pro are fully operational but will flash the screen you saw upon installation. Unregistered versions of Install Maker Pro are NOT supposed to be used for commercial purposes, like selling games that had their installation files created with unregistered Install Maker Pro.

That is what JesseB meant when he said this game “isn’t completely legal”, and he’s right …it’s not legal for the developer to be selling those games. As per the license agreement, installation files created with UNregistered Install Maker Pro are supposed to be for personal use or given away as freeware only, NOT for commercial purposes such as selling.

It is late, so I don’t expect to get an answer, so I went and downloaded a demo version of Troll, uninstalled the current one and installed the demo. Installation went smoothly and upon running the game, the firt menu with options has a “shareware” stamp right across the top.

So I unistalled again (This time w.o any clickteam references, but in a foreign language) which went very fast. Reinstalled the donwloaded free ( still 30 mi9n left ) and I am certain now that I have the full program and that the clickteam popup is something that everybody gets. Thanks anyway.

You must not have tried the game. It has great gameplay and hilarious bonus levels (trying to knock guys bent over slapping their ‘plumber’ revealed asses).

The graphics are good, not exceptional (just like on the WII, gameplay is MORE important).

Anyone who says this is no good must not have tried it, or is uncoordinated and can’t play this game well.

For free it’s a GREAT game, this is one I’d pay for!

I forgot to say that the registered version of Install Maker Pro is not free. After I click ok and the window goes away I get the page that says “Troll activated – What next?” which appears everytime you activate a program. Im very confused.

When I first installed the program if I cleared the ‘run troll, I wasn’t sure if I followed intructions because nothing told me I was running a registered version, so I unistalled and the unistallations complained about some files write protected. I had the option to unistall anyway so I did. I install it again and right after installation I get a box that I didn’t get before that says:

This install program has been created with as unregistered version of Clickteam Install Maker Pro. It cannot be used for commertial use.

This screen does not appear in programs created with a registered version, You can register online on the Clickstream Web site:

I can’t tell if my copy of troll is full or just evaluation. Anybosy knows how to tell? Did I screw up and can’t get the freebie anymore?

I get so tired of the people without a life, proud because they’re the first to send a worthless comment. Other people are encountering King Utereus while the pathetic sit at their computer attempting to be the first daily responder to this website. Great website, great concept. I don’t really understand how the giveaway webmasters tolerate the ignorance of the novice users: “it is a demo;” “it won’t authenticate;” “I know some program better because I’ve never encountered utereus.” Having said all that, this game really sucks. But, you only have to hit .300 to stay in the majors.
