Hi, On the second go around with my son on the game we seem to be stuck at level 9. We have the 5 parts of the map, have killed all the monters and visited every village. The Quests List tells us we have everthing with only the tomb remaining but when we go to the tomb it won’t let us in, saying we need all five parts of the map. I’ve gone back to the end of level 7 & 8 via saved game and worked back to 9 but still the same answer. What to do? Sorry if this isn’t the correct location for this question.

Re: my comments #52 & #54 – copied installed game to my desktop under WinXP, everything works fine, which is no help since I wanted it to run on my laptop. Still no suggestions? Anyone?

for all interesting in seeing what you can do with TorqueGameBuilder: This game was done with an early adopter version of it, with the current versions it could have been developed even faster.

Installed on my (Win98SE) laptop which easily meets all hardware requirements, but when I run Styrateg I get an error – “buffer overrun detected” in styrateg.exe, under the Visual C++ runtime library. Drivers are up to date, AVG updated scan shows nothing, no malware after multiple scans either. I already have the C++ runtime library files installed – any ideas?
(Anyone else notice that the game’s name is “Strategy” with one letter moved?)

Hey, I get “The key cannot be decrypted” when running setup just like 14 above. I posted a comment in the forums thing almost nine hours ago. What’s a gamer to do?

This is another app that won’t run on an Intel 810 chipset. The screen goes to rainbow snow. Changing the display acceleration doesn’t help. It’s not likely the game’s fault, because it happens in other apps as well, Planetarium and Celestis being two.

I don’t know if this is unique to Windows 2000, but the i810 driver ain’t right. And it doesn’t matter that it’s passed Windows certification, it still ain’t right.

Granted, I haven’t played this game, but it looks very similar to the freeware and open source Battle for Wesnoth. I HAVE played that game, and I’m pretty confident that this game can’t match it for fun, depth, pace or story. Just my two cents, and I hope I’m terribly terribly wrong.

Thank you to Rake in Grass and GGAOTD for today’s game … the dsl download/setup took under 3 minutes on my Windows XP system and plays without any issues. I wish the game had more instructions – will have to ask my husband for more help, to understand how to fight the wolf!

I am new to RPG-type games and since this game looks ’simplier’ than those my husband plays, I am giving it a try. Thanks to WR-Stephen and all the other comments for helping me to decide to download this game. Thanks for something new and different (atleast in my opinion).
