This one's kinda cute. Sometimes it's nice to have a little mindless game to mess with. :)

@Watcher1924: It was 3 at night, and I tend to put gameplay experiences behind modding potential.

@17: Sorry, no luck. The game window size is hard-coded.
@18: Go into any level, and press F6 and F8 at the exact same time. You might need to do so a few times before it'll register. When you succeed, the game will display DEVELOPER MODE near the bottom center of the screen. Then you can press the keys in the list to edit the level. The entire level list will be unlocked too.

You can export the built-in levels by going into the level and saving it to a text file. To load a previously saved level, press O and find it. If you want a blank level, quickest way is to make a new, blank text file and load that. To play a level (properly), set the level the way you want it, and then press F6+F8 to disable developer mode. Check that it worked by pressing F5 to see if the menus will disappear. If it does, try F6+F8 again and then recheck.

Quite a good little game, not very hard, but kept me entertained for half an hour.

Saved levels serialization format

Each object in a level is serialized with the following format:
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Class xpos ypos rota [type]
where xpos, ypos, type are ints and rota a Number.

The following object classes are available (numbers after class indicate valid types; [] indicates values not used, () indicates values that are actually used):
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Ball (-1/0/1/2) // -1 spawns next color according to static type counter
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::PlatformUp [-1]
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::TargetPlace [0/1/2]
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Cactus [0/1/2]
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Trampoline
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Hedgehog // Follows your mouse around, might hurt ragdoll
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Crate (-1/0/1/2)
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::PhysicsBar
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Sun
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Floor (0/1)
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::StartPlace [0/1/2]
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::StartPlaceBonus [0] // Seems to freeze game
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::Bar (0/1)

I made a level. It's not really a playable level, but it's fun to watch. Paste the following into an empty text file:

com.logicking.physics.acrobats::StartPlace 91 132 0 0

com.logicking.physics.acrobats::PlatformUp 40 386 90.00000250447816 0
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::PlatformUp 115 463 0 0
com.logicking.physics.acrobats::PlatformUp 241 463 0 0

Save it somewhere, and then open up the game. Select any level, and then enable developer mode (F6+F8). Press O, and select the file that you've saved. Click Go and enjoy.

Wow, Wheemplay published a physics game...! :)
I'm always interested in their giveaways and I intend to keep a collection of them.

@Whiterabbit, I don't remember having seen "lol" several times in one day in your posts. The reason for your good mood is the birthday... or the fact that you got to build a new computer?! :)
Anyway, happy birthday to your kid.

@GMMan, you answered some of my trivial queries before I even post them, plus I would like to use your information about how to manipulate the games but... can we trust a person with such memory issues? ;)

PS: A thanks to all of the above and I hope next time I won't have to put smilies in my posts so as for people here not to misunderstand them...!

Ran Win 7 x64 Ultimate ok. Launched it from executable in folder. Doesn't seem full screen as in edge to edge tho can enlarge it. No problem to play in reduced size. Fan of genre so 9/10. Very forgiving as these go. Did the 25 levels w/o need for tips. Plenty enough.
And many thanks for tip of using yesterdays Alien Stars code to play demo. Didn't need code even tho had uninstalled it. Played Kid's Level for heck of it. Got nearly all of 1st Boss. lol.

Can I get more details on toggling to developer mode and developing more levels for this game? I tried hitting F6 + F8 inside a level as well as in the menu page, but nothing happened (I am not even sure what is supposed to happen).

Do I need to open the game in a special way for the toggle to work? And what do I do if I manage to get through to the developer mode? Can I create and save my own level as a text file? How do I then import it into the game and play it?

The game is interesting as it is, but as others have pointed out, the number of levels is a shortcoming (especially given that the first few levels would have been better off as part of a training program and should not have been made part of the game at all). If I can create my own challenging levels, I can install this on my kids' computers and give them a game that will actually teach them something. Thank you.

Any chance to play full screen on 1280 x 800?

When I maximize I get the game canvas only on the left side of my monitor and on the right side an empty space.

Thanks for any suggestion

I like Wheemplay games, so I was looking forward to playing this one. HOWEVER! Tried four times to download to no avail. The first time I got the readme/setup instructions but on subsequent attempts I got nothing. Between attempts I went in and deleted the previous attempt. I am running Win7/Home Premium on a Toshiba Intel Duo Core Satellite L555 LapTop 2.2 Ghz 200 GB. Any help?

Check the second section in my rview of yesterdays game (the deep red paragraphs). You may find a fix there. :)

Usual Wheemplay fare, short and sweet. These games are fillers, but this one was a little too easy. Other than that, it worked fine, as I expected it to, on Win 7 Pro x64.

I sort of like the Whemplay puzzle games. Though they are a bit short. I played Mad Shapes recently & it was fun though mostly too easy. My favorite Whemplay game was Ceasar's Quest. I also tried the Pirate Time game about the same time & couldn't get the hang of the controls for that.

On the surface the game looks very basic and simple, so I thought I would take a look, and how suprised and glad I was !
It was not as simple as it looks, and proved very clever and captivating. As I am from an engineering background I am always interested in these types of games, and I give credit where credit is due, and this is indeed an excellent game that does put your puzzle skills to the test

Excellent work and many thanks to all.

Constructive comments: I think that this game is worth a little more money, as at the moment it gives the impression that it is cheap and can't be any good. A slight price increase, would make all the difference, and might create more interest, you can always include a section where you can make your own levels by using and editing the existing items, and then the additional price would make this already excellent game more commercially competitive and attractive.

Excellent work and more games please.
Best regards
Mike

Helpful hint with editing: Press X to completely reload the level, so you can get rid of random objects that are placed.

Cool... I found the game's developer mode. After trying to pull the SWF out of the Zinc Projector, and then pulling the game out of the Wheemplay wrapper, I went ahead and put it in old pal Sothink SWF Decompiler. I found the following:

F6+F8: Toggle Developer Mode

While in developer mode:
S: Save level to text (serialize)
O: Load saved level (deserialize)

M: Place crate
N: Place ball

1: Place trampoline (0 degrees)
2: Place trampoline (+20 degrees)
3: Place trampoline (-20 degrees)

4: Place small bar (+25 degrees)
5: Place small bar (0 degrees)
6: Place small bar (-25 degrees)
Shift+4: Place large bar (+25 degrees)
Shift+5: Place large bar (0 degrees)
Shift+6: Place large bar (-25 degrees)

Interesting GMMan, I'm sure some will enjoy creating new levels thanks to your work.

7: Place gravity platform (-90 degrees, left)
8: Place gravity platform (0 degrees, up)
9: Place gravity platform (+90 degrees, right)

G: Place small island
H: Place large island

C: Place cactus

F1: Set current positions as initial position

F5: Toggle GUI

T/R/E: Place target (type 0/1/2, respectively, doesn't seem to matter)
Y/U/I: Place start (type 0/1/2, respectively, doesn't seem to matter)

V: Place brick wall

B: Does nothing
F: Change filter mode (good for debugging the physics)

LMB+Delete or LMB+Backspace: Delete object currently being dragged

Escape: Quick reset level (position-wise, not content-wise)
Space: Start simulation (skip safety checks)

This game could get really interesting if people made levels for it. So go at 'er.

I liked the previous giveaways of Weebly. They do a good job at every thing else but the story. What is the weird space ship thing carry the robot? Weebly if you are listening, put a story, atleast an intro with your games.

This game, compared Save the Snails, seems more polished, at least graphically. Coming to think of it, the reason why all of these games are so short is because they were originally developed for the web as a quick break, not a full-featured game. In any case, I still think this game's fine for what it is. It's still pretty easy, but I suppose that's its design. Couple odd points: the first is the help shows when the game loses focus (should be a separate button somewhere), and the second is I can't really hear the music (actually, I had something else as a second point, but forgot it).

(I might remember what I was going to say later...)

Nice little flash game, even if a little bit too shortish. Played through its 25 levels within 20 minutes. Only level that held me for some minutes was #24.

So I don't get it, I downloaded yesterdays Alien shooter and could not get it to run even with the compat fixes. Running Windows 7x64, however downloaded the demo from there Awems website and it runs with no fixes. Just a fyi, I missed out on yesterdays giveaway but might end up buying the game as it was pretty cool.

You can still register the demo with the registration code that was provided. :)

Sorry No full review today, just a very brief intro. (actually posted the wrong space jump game first thing this morning, lol.

The game downloads as a 10.8MB zip file that unpacks to a read me and a dual activation and set up file The game installs to C:/Games by default but you can change the path if you wish.

There are no shortcuts installed onto your computer and the game, as with all wheemplay games installs directly into the games folder without a folder of it's own. The game plays on Win 7 64 bit and XP Pro 32 bit (Not had time to check whether it works on my Vista installation.

The Gamel>:

Space Jump is simple puzzle game where you have to move (jump) an astronaut/cosmonaut from one platform to another using antigravity platforms to adjust the path the 'spaceman' moves/ The levels get slihtly more complex as you progrss with multiple platforms appearing in later laevels. As with all Wheemplay games you start off with easy levels and progrss to harder ones. Placing of the antigravity platforms are crucially important. If you fail you can retry by clicking the replay button. There are 25 levels in total. all but the first are locked at the beginning of the game.

You can find a video walkthrough via the following link. there's a link to the walkthrough at the bottom of the game window:
