Downloaded this game. Have been playing the kids version as was checking it out for my granddaughter. Is really cute. BUT there is one BIG problem. When you get to the 10th level the program stops and sends an error message.
Went back and was able to get into 10th level. Seems like sometimes you can and sometimes you cant get to that level.
Otherwise a super fun game. thanks GAOTD.

Very cute, but mostly for the kiddies. This reminds me of a Dig Dug clone. I like Turtix better because there's a little more challenge. I still give it a thumbs up because it was very well done.

sorry I didn't see the thingy where you should send problems to the forums page so I will say that I played this game at my parents house where it worked and I really liked it--it was very addictive not too easy but easy enough not to be frustrating

Please help me. I downloaded and the game works but the foreground is all invisible. I mean you can see and move the bear and hear the music but the ladders and platforms are all invisible which makes it really hard to play. I downloaded the newest version of directx should I do something else?

TY Alawar! Yes, all things by Alawar are great!
And I love games to be mouse controllable! Keyboard controls seem so outdated & for me, too cumbersome. I have 1 handicapped hand, so this game sure pleases me!:) TY!

#1, I am a 'night owl', myself, but that does sound kind of silly to stay up all night just to get the game, which actually comes out around 3:00 a.m., and is available for a full 24 hours. :D

#18, do what I did - learned the 'hard way'...lol; read and follow ALL the instructions. I didn't and have lost a whole bunch of these give aways - games and other software - because I didn't read everything. I downloaded the files, but just saved them in a specially made folder for them. I learned later you have to install them on the same day as you download them; silly me for not reading everything...hee hee

Hey Nutzsmum, what about installing the games to your children’s computers when the giveaway is still active?

There are other alternatives. you could always Email me as I have bought some of these games prior to the give away, and am always willing to give a few away as I’ve played them out and no longer want them (apart from a few which I’ll play over and over). Follow the link to find a comment of mine (#64) that has my Email address:

http://game.giveawayoftheday.com/fishing-trip

I have already given some of my games away to a few giveaway visitors who have contacted me, so you'll need to contact me soon as I only have about 50 or so left to give ;) as I don't want to break the registration agreements by giving a game away twice. (I always delete a game from my machine when I’ve given it away. although technically I still own the registration as the games are registered with my Email and name) If anyone else does ask; Nutzsmum will be given first choice of whatever she wants :)

This isn’t a joke, or a way of currying favour with people. I just don’t see the point of keeping so many games as I have after playing them to the finish. I have hundreds besides the games given away. All bought for pain distraction purposes, so can afford to give some away to those who obviously want them. :) I don’t expect anything in return honestly.

PS sorry for the multiple posts

To the giveaway team. The games I am offering are those I purchased myself and not those given away by your team. Please delete this post if you think it's not suitable for publication. Thank you

Thanks Larry comment #24. I played this game for an hour with the key board, thinking it was not mouse controlled.

I didn't bother checking the controls set up, making an assumption, that I hope didn't stop anyone from downloading this game. I apologise if it did. I'm still trying to repair my other computers, which for various reasons I'm unable to use at the moment and wanted to get the review written quickly because Saturday late morning I usually allow the kids to play on the computers for an hour or so before they go to gymnastics.

I only wish I knew the night before what the game was going to be for the following day so that I could write a better review in preparation for the morning release. (Hey! that's an idea Game Give away team, what do you think? Email me)

Anyway, I am sorry for my mistake above. :(

I was pleasantly surprised by the game not only being joy stick controllable, but mouse controllable as well. You have no need of the keyboard at all, apart from typing in your name.

Another Alawar Game? To me that is an automatic download. Alawar means top quality games in my opinion. Alawar has given us some great games in the past. I see nothing to change that. Thank you GGAOTD. You give us plenty of games and I am grateful for your efforts. Thank you Alawar Entertainment. Your games have proven to be amung the best games offered here. I'm sure I am not alone in hoping you will post more.

Thanks for the tips. I was hoping to be able to transfer the games, to a CD and let the kids play them on their own computer! I have never gotten them to work off the cd and I am too afraid to delete them from my computer in case the cd won't work on that either! I guess the best bet is to buy a new hard drive of some kind? I have only been using this site for a few months and already have waaay too many games on my computer! :)

GAME PLAYS WITH THE MOUSE, TOO! In fact, I like it better that way. Like Whiterabbit suggested, I turned vsync off in the options and it stopped the mouse cursor from waving around so badly (on my machine, at least).

This game is different from other platformers I've played: You can't JUMP in this one. Therefore, you don't need such great keyboarding or mousing skills to enjoy it like in those other ones. Kids and adults both should like it.

Another great offering from Alawar & GGAOTD.

nutszmum, comment #17, Provided you don't clean your registry, by doing a ‘full’ re-install of windows, using a registry cleaner or using the uninstall functions that come with most games, the registration codes that allow you to play the full version will remain on your computer. So, as Margit, comment #19 says, just burn them onto a CD/DVD. You can always keep your favourite ones on the computer. If any game won’t work via the CD/DVD that you've burnt the files onto, then just copy those back into your games folder, or wherever you keep your games when you want to play them again. If you place it back into the place you deleted it from, the shortcut you have from the original installation should still be functional. (I wouldn’t delete them just in case, as they take up virtually no space at all) If it isn't, just right click on the executable file (which is usually the one that looks the same as the shortcut, ie with an image or symbol) and select create shortcut. Move this to the desktop or wherever you place your games shortcuts to; either by dragging and dropping, or cutting and pasting.

I hope this helps. :)

#17 some Games won't transfer The activation in on that computer, But I have found that to save memory you can get an external Hard drive that have came down in price alot, then send all the games to the other Hard drive. that will keep your other Computer working faster, and you can start downloading even more...lol

I these games and most games I get are for My Grand daughter, some for me.

For people with Vista I have found that if you go to your desktop icon right click > properties > to compatibility then click on xp service pack 2 I was having trouble with my sims2 game then I found out about that, some of the games you have to make it compatible

Thank You for all the Games and programs you give us each day.
Have a Great Day!

My children and I LOVE so many of these games for GAOTD!!! Thank you, thanks you thank you!

My only problem is having the storage for all of these games! I don't want them to take up all my memory and slow my system down. Does anyone know how I can transfer them to a cd or another computer to free up space on this one? (I am not all that computer-savvy, just love to play games!)

A great game for the kids at heart, but when are we going to get games with a little more "Beef" to them. Seems most games are for those with lower end computers, I need a good 300MB or more game that has some depth and challenge to it. Thanks anyway GGAOTD

Nice one Alawar. I missed this the first time around, back in November last year. If I didn’t have children and I hadn’t been determined to try every game given away I would probably have passed up on this game because for some reason I’d always disliked platforms previously; which would have been a pity. This is not just for children. It has beautiful graphics and excellent game play and should grace 'virtually' everyone’s games library.

Check out the in game screenshots I found just by typing in the name of the game. There's no need to take my own, lol.

Installation is a breeze, with the usual two icons in a zipped file. Activate the game first then install it to your usual folder or the default if you wish.

The options menu allows you to adjust the music and sound effects as well as adjust the graphics quality from 16 to 32 bits. There is a VSync option, which I would advise those with slow machines to turn off as it can seriously slow down the frame rate of your display. Check out the internet for information if you want to know more, or follow this link, which I’ve not had any problems with concerning malware etc.

http://www.d-silence.com/feature.php?id=255

There is no windowed option and the controls are keyboard only. :( However that said, the game is an excellent acquisition and I would recommend you at least try this. I’m glad I lost my aversion to platform games as this one has been fun to play for the last hour.

It's well worth 7.5 out of 10. I'd have given it an 8 if mouse and windowed mode had been supported. After playing it on both widescreen LCD monitors and the traditional CRT monitors, there seems to be no loss at not being able to adjust the screen resolution; which would imply that this game auto adjusts to whatever screen resolution you have your monitor set at. (I may be wrong :) )

Please note that you follow any links I post at your own risk, although I do try to ensure that the links I post aren’t rife with malware, pop ups and virus’s. :D

Well if this is a repeat thank you for bringing it back if not it is an awesome game and those monsters have brains and come after you in higher levels:) lol graphics are pretty good controls are somewhat ok unless you have a control pad and then it is easy but not too difficult using the keyboard. Only thing i wish it had was window mode. Installed and activated without any problems on XP home edition. Give it a try it will keep you thinking for a little while:)So ty very much Alawar and GGAOTD keep 'em comin!!!!

A good Lode Runner clone. The principle of Lode Runner is probably the better one ever invented for a game. Try it!

But if you like this game, you would probably want to try also the original game Lode Runner - The Mad Monks Revenge. It can now be downloaded for free, has many more game elements, a level editor, and there are thousand of free levels on the net. It's an old game, and it is somewhat difficult to install, but there are explanations on how to install it available on the net. Use Google.
