LMAO @ comment #27

You do know there are games out there that have photorealistic graphics representing people shooting, exploding, and disemboweling each other, don't you? Kind of pales in comparison to cartoon cats being smacked around, doesn't it?

Another fine Alawar game, the Snowy series is very popular with my youngster, and this one is hilarious. Maybe not in large doses, but smaller regular doses is an advantage for kid's games IMHO. I must confess I also find it very amusing to watch. Excellent giveaway, thanks!

I played it on Vista, Whiterabbit, installed and worked fine.

Now I'm personally a big fan of FPS and other action games, but is it just me that doesn't like the idea of kids learning to smack cats around and slapping the dog to get it to chase the cats off? It's one thing when you're being charged by a monster, but I'm thinking this wouldn't exactly be ASPCA approved, even with the badly worded claim in the beginning about no animals being harmed. Not something I'd want to instill in young minds.

I was glad to find another Snowy game, but the download is misleading.
17.4 MB, but the game actually requires 158.3 MB to install. I realise that the files are zipped, but still it would help to know how big the game is beforehand.

Not the usual Snowy platform game (the elephants are a hoot - fig. & lit.!)
The "slap-a-cat" concept to get rid of the bad guys is novel, at least for a few levels, but then wears out.
Good, too, to have the option for different players, but it's not a "save-and-exit" game, so if you want to reach level 80 (or whatever) you need to do it in one sitting.

Oh, and #13, I made game.giveaway my homepage, so that every time I start my computer, the site comes up and I can check for a new game (at the moment it ends at 6pm Eastern Summer time in Australia, but the new ones are taking a while to come onto the site, which I think someone else has mentioned - now I wait until the next morning)

Thanks for all the great games you have brought to us lately.

I don't believe Alawr actually writes the games. I think they're just a distributor, like Big Fish Games. The games are actuually written by the likes of Dream Dale, Aliasworlds, Adept Studios and others.

i have been coming to this site for a few months now but in the past week or so i haven't been able to find the current GGAOTD until there is only a few hours lefts to download it if at all. i have cleared all my history and everything but this seems strange that it has been happening for a few days now. why can't some of us visitors see the current GGAOTD until there isn't enough time left to download it?

My son has been after me to buy this since he downloaded a demo version. I was on the verge of giving in. THANKS GGoTD!! He plays it and has a great time. I don't have anything negative to say, I'm not picky about graphics, etc. If my son has fun with it, it gets a thumbs up from me
