Giveaway of the Day - Sky Aces

Sky Aces
February 11, 2008

Sky Aces, Western Front is an arcade aviation simulator dedicated to the events of WWI, and the airplanes participating in the conflict over the Western Front. The distinctive features of the game are models of airplanes of elaborate detail, copied from drawings and historically colored. Using slightly simplified physics, learning the controls of the airplanes is accomplished quickly and easily while providing for a fun gaming experience. The game is not a full fledged simulator and cannot make a pilot out of you; instead it lets you experience, from virtual piloting, a maximal adrenaline rush.

Key Features:

  • Easy to learn and fly;
  • Training missions for learning the game;
  • 10 German and 10 Allied airplanes (20 total);
  • Instant Action and Campaign Game Styles;
  • Ability to adjust render quality for slower computers;
  • Three levels of difficulty.

  2. Oh wow, I’ve been looking for this game for quite some time. I played the demo when it was first released (from one of those free DVD’s you get attached to gaming magazines)and am so pleased to see it here. I will be reviewing it later once I get back from Hydrotherapy. It’s a great little simulation, with not too bad graphics for the size.

  3. You do need to make a note of where the game is installed to as there is no shortcut installed in the start menu or the desktop. By default it installs to C:/games.

    The shortcut icon is familair (see poing over on the forums)
