Hi there!

I downloaded and tried to install the game within the giveaway day ("ShellBlast is available as a Giveaway of the day! You have 37 minutes to download and install it.") and I got "Fatal error: key is invalid". I reloaded the download page *AFTER* doing that and I still had 31 minutes remaining.

In short: didn't work for me :-(

Sorry you missed the giveaway. Googling the error message brings up a lot of answers. http://www.google.co.uk/#hl=en&source=hp&q=Fatal+error%3A+key+is+invalid&btnG=Google+Search&aq=f&aqi=&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=&fp=835011ad7218a386 Sorry I wasn't around to answer before the giveaway ended.

Mr Rabbit. did not bother to read farther since someone else needs to use the computer.
spelling error below. please correct it.

The downloaded zip file is 22Mb which unpacks to a dual set up and activation module and a read me. The installed game is 22.2Mb in size. The game installs to

C:\Program Files\ShellBlast 1.31 (unless you’re O.S. is installed to a different drive)

unless you're should be your.
you're = you are which is a contraction
your = possesive as in belonging to you.

example you're wearing your scarf today.

Thanks for the English lesson. All I can say is, "it was written in a hurry and I didn't proof read it". It's a glaring mistake, so thanks for pointing it out. :)

Aww, SshellBlast! I love this game. I still have it, archived somewhere. I've gotta find my old profile and start playing it again. Let's see if I can actually beat the second nuke this time.
(I was so excited that I forgot to download the game before I've started typing, lol)

At first glance the game seems rather shallow, but it's got a lot to offer if you persevere. Great game.

(That second screencap is actually from "Spirits of Metropolis" and not Shellblast.)

Seems like a very interesting diversion. :)
The method for detecting pistons is similar to a Picross game (logic and deduction). Loaded and runs fine on Win7-64 bit.

Installed fine on Win7-64 bit. Beautiful colors, nice sound, works well for the quick initial level I tried. Looks like it'll be fun if I need to fill a few minutes. I suppose the graphics and sound are a little retro, but brings back good memories. :-)

Just in case you find this game isn't your cuppa tea, I’ve also posted several free games in the games discussion forums over the last few weeks that include an excellent RPG called Battle for Wesnoth (which I’ve posted previously, but it’s been updated recently), an excellent retro space shooter called Hydorah, a graphically superior (well, for free it is) hand ball game called Handball Challenge Training, and a well made point and click adventure on the lines of Myst called Amertis, plus a few others such as Bubblestorm, a remake of Donkey Kong and a WWII scrolling shooter called Blue Dragon, and I nearly forgot, a great game available via Steam called Moonbase Alpha (actually there are two new free games via Steam, because Alien Swarm was released last week). You can find those in the games discussion forums. Just look for week 98, 99 and 100 for these games. If you go back further there are some excellent physics based games such as Truck and Stair Dismount and a great snow boarding game called Virtual Resort (plus ORF Skiing)

well, i installed it and am now wondering why. seems to be so much junkware that it's really not worth the time and effort it would take to learn to play it. such a shame that nobody is willing to give games like we used to get. free games these days are subject to a "you get what you pay for" disclaimer. i'm uninstalling from my toshiba vista satellite. but thanx for the opportunity, folks. your efforts are not in vain, as i do appreciate your nobility and unselfishness in providing free games and programs that lots of people can use. this one isn't for me. i'll continue to check back for new offers. thanx

I had tried AcidBomb and AcidBomb2 from Vertigo's site and got nowhere. The games just sat there with no display at all (Vista32 Ultimate). However, this game DOES work. It's not easy either.

It is a very nice game.
