They have one thing right about this game and that is in its title. It is just that simply put it is in-fact a most putrid game. I should have taken a warning from the first 5 reviews and skipped this game, but I had to try it for myself. Boy what a mistake that was.
The game play with the control of the ball is awful. The games physics where the ball is bouncing off an obstacle or off of the rails are horrible. The games graphics are terribly outdated. The music is atrocious at worst and tedious at best. There is no volume control in the game other than where you lower or raise the main volume function on your primary speakers.
There are so many things wrong with this game I don't know where to begin.
Anybody idiotic enough to pay 10 dollars for this game deserves to have their head examined. At best this game holds a value of 99 Cents it is not even worth 1 dollar and at the worst parts of this game you should actually have pay us to to install it and to play it.
This game will be un-installed and deleted, to be added onto my list of other cesspit fit games. I now have another game to add to my list of other ludicrous and terrible games. I am very sorry that I wasted any of my bandwidth to download and try this game out.
I am thankful to GGAOTD for offering us this game to try.
However to the game designer Horror Palace Network all I can say is for shame, for shame! This is the most horrible game! I have ever had the misfortune to have played in my past 15 years of INTERNET gaming...
Even kitty Cannon is more fun and has better physics graphics and sound than this game... And we all know how terrible of a flash game kitty cannon is... So that tells you just how tedious and awful this game is.
this game gets a thumbs down and the worst score possible a zero out of 10 there is not 1 thing good I can say about this game except that I am thankful it un-installed fairly easy and that it left no obvious signs of its demise after removing it with Revouninstaller

One other note just for the games creators at Horror Palace Network please do not ever ever give this game away again. Do us and your selves a favor and bury this rotten & putrid game as soon as possible.

This game is worth $lO - to me - if that's what I get paid each time I play it. Have a nice day folks ☺

I also hate it, uninstalled after only a few holes. Find nothing at all about it to recommend. First time EVER I could find nothing good to say about a program!
#18, Russ - you're one of the lucky ones, because it wouldn't install...
Sorry, whoever programmed it, but. . . . .the game's a L O S E R ! ! ! !

Horror Palace probably needs to rethink their whole strategy, here. Many of the most popular and well established games that have been given away here have been normally priced at less than $10. And Wheemplay games are priced at only 99 cents and game physics is their speciality, so there's no real comparison.
Horror Palace, you would be welcome to try again, but maybe you should try and be sure that your ready for primetime as game designers first.
I mean, believe it or not, GGOTD is not a dump for throway games. This is the single most critically panned game - in terms of the comments section - I can remember seeing.

I have to go along with the crowd on this one. I was ready to uninstall as were others but after a few holes I realized that this game needs to played like real golf and not miniature golf. In real golf there are no rails or bank shots, you have to set up your hole shot with the best open course shots. Of course in real golf you don't have ghouls and goblins blocking your shots but that also adds to the challenge of the game. I finished Bloody Barbarians at 23 over but I can see that with only two courses the challenge will soon be over come by boredom.

I have a problem uninstalling it. It seemingly wont.

I did a Google search on the game, and practically snorted into my drink when I realised this was done by a (and I quote from the website) "Empyrean Network of Audio and Video...Horror Movie Reviews And So Much More"...

As for the actual game itself, it's as bad as nearly everyone else says. Uninstalled after the third hole.

Hilarious: Just Plain FUN, mini putt; putt go behind ball shows direction all is well !!

Unfortunately this game does not work correctly. The arrow pointer for the direction to hit the ball points in all different directions when clicking to move the ball. The ball doesn't really go anywhere it is supposed to when it is hit. Cute graphics. Nice idea for a game but it fails to be playable. Unistalled immediately.

Gee Guys.
It's not THAT bad.
Holding down the left button controls the power. When you think you have the right amount, let go, and off the ball goes.
Got a "bogey" on my third try.
And - Hey - IT'S FREE.
Thanks HPN & GOTD.

I must agree with the other reviews. This game needs some work to it. The angles are random. Thanks for trying though. Most times I do enjoy the games.

No matter what i do to get this game installed it will not. I have tried to install on my C drive Plus a zip drive. I quit!! There is no excuse for not going in somewhere!! I have Win XP, cable modem, and 200 GB s of space....I DO NOT have problems EVER installing the games. This one is a failure from the word go. Thanks but no thanks. If it`s a problem in the beginning i do not even want it..unexpected error is all i get....uninstall is my best bet. I give this game Thumbs down....

Downloaded/installed fine on Vista 64-bit.
I liked the music... Unfortunately, the game's pretty much unplayable, mainly due to the physics.
Golf is about finding the right angle and power when hitting the ball. In mini golf, you also have to do the bank shots off the walls. I suppose it's possible to figure out and get used to the physics of this game, but overcoming poor programming shouldn't be part of the challenge.
The main things I'd say need to be fixed:
- The physics are way off. When hitting a wall or obstacle at an angle, the ball doesn't bounce off in the correct direction or at the right speed. This is very important in a mini golf game and should be the main focus.
- The power meter doesn't feel accurate. It may feel off because the ball movement isn't very smooth or natural. The ball should slow down more gradually, instead of the sudden stop.
- The layout for some of the holes could be more visually appealing. They do need to be complex, but look better when they're symmetrical. In this game, the layout of the walls, obstacles and decor looks very random.
Some minor things that could be fixed:
- The sound effects could be a little better. The getting stuck in the mud SFX doesn't really sound like anything I've ever heard. Hitting the ball is okay. Would like to hear a sound when the ball hits the wall.
- I don't really mind the very simple graphics, but a little more texture wouldn't hurt, especially on the grass.
- There's some visible code at the bottom of the Main Menu.

This game looks like it was made more to promote someone's podcast than it was to make a saleable game.

Putrid is an understatement. I really like this type of game, so I hoped the negative reviews already up were flukes. Nope. The physics and graphics are terrible. I find it impossible to enjoy a game of skill when skill has nothing to do with how you perform. You're at the mercy of totally amateurish programming and that makes for a very boring experience. The best I can say about it is that installation and uninstillation were quick and painless, but it's shameful that they would put a $10.00 price tag on this terrible excuse for a game. Google "free flash golf games" and you'll find muany much more entertaining and skillfully made games than this one, with no downloading necessary. Thanks anyway, GOTD, but this one is definitely not a keeper.

Bad physics, horrible music. Very poor game design. Looks like it's done in Game Maker.
Uninstalled and thumbed down.

OK, I'll admit it. Curosity got the better of me and I downloaded this game just to see if it was as bad as the others have said. It was worse. I was so frustrated with the poor game design and randomness of the rebound angles, that I uninstalled it before I got past the first 10 holes.
When you shoot a ball at a wall at an angle that should make it just glance off the wall and barely change direction, it should not come straight back at you! When you aim for an opening, and clearly are not going to hit a wall, the ball should not come back at you!
The design and execution of this game are horrible. Don't even bother with it unless you enjoy being frustrated and aggravated.

The negative comments made me want to download it and see for myself.
That was a mistake... This game really is horrible... Sorry guys!

Well, tried it ,and they did get the ball traveling in a straight-line,but nothing else even resembling real world physics.C'mon Horror Palace, you've got the idea for a very good game of mini-golf,please work the physics out(study some pool or pinball games for physics maths)and get it back here on GGOTD. THANKS guys but I think I'll wait for a little more realism.

I don't normally judge a game by the thumbs up or down this early on, however, the first two reviews I read tell the tale for me. It is not enjoyable to play a game that has such random rebound angles. Even the most simple brick shooter has a decent rebound angle in the programming. This doesn't even seem to be worth my time.

Horrible physics, rebounds are not correct which is the basics for a golf game....

somehow the idea-informer-form does not work here ?! So I copy/paste from there:

You can press to stop the red arrow animation.
It plays in full or windowed mode. The music & graphics are so so. There really is not much to it!
It's good for a laugh so I installed it on my husbands computer too, rofl
I want to see what he has to say about it...
If you want a fun Mini Golf Game that is in 3D. Try "Toy Golf"

I am still stuck and can't master that one!

Completely agree with Mike and Nightspell's comments above. Thumbs down from me too.
Its rather like a Wheemplay game, but graphics appear to date from the Sinclair Spectrum!
Poor physics, tedious game, uninstalled.
Sorry Stephen....

I gave this a thumbs down only because the physics are Horrible!
When your aiming the ball at an angle it should not bounce back at you!
It was so bad I quit the game and uninstalled it!
I was really hoping you had an enjoyable game but I could not get over that one huge flaw.
May I make a suggestion other then what I already stated...
Take some of the crap out and put some challenges in it Ie. A spinning windmill, a scarecrow or witches head with their mouth opening and closing, Multiple holes to hit the ball into that leads either to the hole are far away from the hole (Dont show pipe that help you guess what hole to aim for). I hope this review helps the dev on bettering this project!

Sorry GGAOTD, this is not at all a good game.
I love golf games on computer, of all types, but this fails at just about every level.
The rebound angles are random. The power is impossible to judge.
You cannot turn the sound down. It looks and sounds an amateurish attempt to write a computer game.
Thanks for the offer anyway. Uninstalling now.
