Sun City is the city of future with the best ecology and high tech infrastructure. But the rise of crime rate makes this place dangerous for living. Extremists block roads, car criminals crash the traffic, hackers override automatic city traffic control. Special Supercar Police Unit was organized to blow the whistle on these practices.
There are 2 new cars in the recharged version.

The Game:
Today’s game is another car game from Handmade games/cccp games that includes elements of racing against time, smashing into bandit cars and destroying road blocks. The game looks similar to most of the vehicle based games that hand made games have created, however there’s no actual racing against other AI controlled vehicles this time
Instead there are four scenarios covering 16 levels, which repeat with different routes on four city maps, the levels get harder as you progress:
1) … Patrol the Route as fast as you can, avoiding traffic. Near misses gain you a charge of Nitro Boost, but collisions will slow you down. The route is marked by green arrows.
2) … Extremists have blocked the cities roads with cargo containers. Destroy the cargo containers using the vehicles provides. Each vehicle has a snow plow attached to the front of the vehicle. Destroy the blokades by hitting them at weak points. Each hit earns you a charge of Nitro Boost.
3) … Criminals are terrifying the city by purposely crashing into random traffic. Ram the culprits until you’ve destroyed their vehicle. You will earn a charge of Nitro boost every time you hit the criminals vehicle.
4) … Hackers have gained access to the cities traffic control system and have threatened the safety of citizens cars by remotely controlling empty cars. Ram all traffic cars but avoid oncoming traffic otherwise youll lose valuable time.
There are five different vehicles to choose from called the L560 (Bullet and Needle), the F400 (Phantom and Ghost), the C850 (Cheetah, the B1000 (Meteor0 and the P1200 (Photon), the latter three are locked at the start of the game. To unlock them you have to earn points by beating specific times of which there are three. Failing to qualify withn one of these times gains you no points and fails to unlock the next level.

Conclusion
The game play is reasonable, but the graphics are looking a little tired, with little improvement over previous games from this developer. They have tried to make something slightly different from your usual vehicular game, somewhat on the lines of Crash Time II & III (this game has a different name in the US), but falls far short of that particular game in both game play, graphics and replayability. I enjoyed checking the game out, but once I’d worked through the four scenarios I can see it getting rather tedious. Also with only 16 levels the game could easily be completed in less than an hour if you manage to complete each level within the specified times, which I found easy to do.
In my opinion the game is worth a 5 out of 10, however, if you don’t have many vehicle based games you may enjoy this game much more than I did.
I would suggest to the developer that they create more scenarios that are customisable so as to increase the replay value of the game. I’d also consider using a different game engine so that you can increase the graphical realism. There are loads of vehicle based games available now, most of which are much better both in game play elements and graphics than this game.
Alternatives:
Other Games:
Gametop.com and MyPlayCity have several vehicle based games for example KGB hunter, Mad Truckers and Extreme Rally , you’ll also find a wheeled games thread in the forums and there’s also lots of car based games in the free games synopsis, such as the first two Grand Theft auto games GTA I & II, and Death Rally (there’s now an updated version of Death Rally that no longer requires you to use DOSBox) . Of course there are many more vehicle based games from these sources, but I’ve only mentioned those games that are not racing games much like todays game giveaway.

There are several commercial games that I highly recommend which are available from various sources. Crashday (Atari) is one of the better looking ones though it’s now 5 years old, then there’s several available via Steam:
Crashday:

Clutch:

Zombie Driver:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/31410/
Metal Drift:

and an older one called:
Death Track: Ressurection, which todays game giveaway reminds me of a lot, though Deathtrack is much more fun and polished.:
http://store.steampowered.com/app/7840/
Crash Time III :
http://store.steampowered.com/app/33620/
Crash Time II:

Flatout II

Flatout

Flatout: Ultimate Carnage:

I’ve not included traditional racing games like Grid, Dust I & II, Race 07 and F2010. You can also get a free online game called Darkwind: War on Wheels that’s set in a post apocalyptic society. Also last years release called Fuel could be classed in this genre, and is probably the best of the lot for amazing graphics

Fuel:

Apart from Metal Gear I can attest to all of the other games being of good quality and very playable, especially Fuel, Flatout Ultimate Carnage, Crash time III as well as some of the freeware games, because I’ve purchased (or downloaded in the case if the freebies) and played all of them extensively. Most of the commercial games I’ve mentioned can now be bought for bargain price’s if you now where to look. (check out GOG for the first flatout game, but too be honest I’d get flatout 2 as it’s got better car physics.

You can get a reasonable quad bike racing game called ATV Quadro Racing HERE, for free from Gametop. MyPlaycity has two trial bike games called Trial Bike Ultra and Super Motocross
Another free bike racing game called Moto Racing (which I think is better than the one being given away for free today), can be downloaded from HERE, though it doesn’t have the physics emulation that Super Motocross has. Monster Truck Trials the previous giveaway that is similar to today’s game giveaway, is also available for free HERE, though it’s had a name change to Monster Truck Challenge.
Here’s a couple more online trials bike games that can be played full screen called Bike Master, which you can find HERE and Trial bike Pro which you can get HERE. There’s also some newer additions to Gametops books such as Neptunes Buggy Online and Sky Track (which is similar to Star Racing).
There are more racing games available from Gametop, MyPlayCity and FreeGamePick and also some freeware and abandonware racing games available via the free games synopsis in the giveaway forums. You’ll find a sticky on the front page of the forums that’ll take you to the lists of games. Trackmania is probably the best of the freeware games, but others such as the online game Darkwind and the abandonware game Death Rally (which was recently updated so that it will now play on windows).
If you don’t mind paying for your games, you can get a couple of excellent 3D Motocross games (that are rather old, but still look good and play well) called Motocross Mania and Motocross Madness 2 that allow you to move around a vast open world, and have several different modes of play. You can pick up either of the games below for less than today’s giveaway if you look for them on the net. I’ve seen Motocross Madness 2 (the better of the two games) for less than $5 on Play.com, though you may have to buy a second hand one.
