Old Puzzles:

In Brief:
We've had several games from the developer robot8784 i.e. Animal World Puzzles (Jan 25th 22), The Puzzles Fantastic (Jan 14th 22), Sea Puzzles (April 26th 21), Find The Difference (March 12th 21), Park Yor Car (Feb 12th 21), Horror Jigsaw Puzzles (Jan 29th 21), Galaxy Tag (Jan 20th 21), Sunrise of Puzzles (Dec 28th 20), Eternal Life (Dec 18th 20) and Pinball Zombie (Dec 4th 20).

Todays game is another simple 3x4 jigsaw puzzle with square elements and 15 puzzles to solve.

Introduction:
A junk car-themed puzzle. Each level consists of 12 elements that will need to be rotated so that they match all the elements. The game has 15 levels. If you require help, click on the E key, and the game will flash up a faded image of the whole picture, showing you where to place each piece of the puzzle (see the last image below). Keep it depressed for a longer look. In the game, you can scroll through the levels without starting a puzzle by pressing the left arrow to move on to the next puzzle.

The Game:
With so few elements this particular jig saw puzzle is likely to be too simple for adults, tohugh you may like the completed images. They are suitable for children agesd between 4 to 7. As an adult you should easily complete each of the puzzles in less than a minute (I completed one in less than 40 seconds). They are made easier because when you click on each element, they move to the correct orientation immediately and will lock into place once put in the correct grid section.

Once you've completed the puzzle, a camera symbol appears on the left hand side of the image. Clicking on this allows you to take a screen capture of the finished image that can be found in your downloads folder. There's no timer included with this jigsaw; and, unlike previous puzzles we've received by other developers (i.e. Uniden and GameRea), these puzzles by the developer robot8784 do not progress to the next puzzle in the level sequence when you've completed one. You have to press the back button to return to the level map screen. Also, there's no sneak peek of the completed image once you've opened the puzzle; you can only see the thumbnail images within the level selection map before you select the puzzle.

Conclusion:
Very easy puzzles that can easily be finished in less than a minute, making this 11 piece set easily completed in around 10 to 15 minutes. For a young child it may take longer depending on their age.

These images remind me of my childhood. I used to live on the outskirts of town, a stones throw from farmland. A local scrap merchant used to have a car dump about 5 minutes from where I lived on the opposite side of our local childrens playground and park. I used to spend hours with my brother, sister and friends playing in the scrap yard, pretending to be racing drivers and even astronauts. We'd even have picnics in the cars, pretending that we were on a road trip etc. None of the cars were stacked, so the owner used to let us run riot during the summer months; fond memories, that these images of old rust buckets bring back. :)

p.s.
The description on the developers page over on itch.io says this is a Sci Fi puzzle, when in reality they're images of 15 old rotting vehicles.

Notes on Security

I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found zero hits from 60 antimalware engines.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that only opens your browser once to Falcoware's home page after the game has installed and also places four shortcuts onto your desktop (which can be safely deleted once the game has installed).

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to Falcoware's home page following the games installation, it earns Falcoware games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. Once you've installed the game, there are no more browser redirections. This is because Falcoware removed their installer over a year ago (that installer would show an advert for a game and then open your browser each time you played and then closed the game down.)

The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites (though the latter isn't as good as it used to be) where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best; though a more recent addition that is worth checking out called Fanatical games looks to be a serious contender for that title as they have some very good bundles. Black And White Apocalypse that was given away some weeks ago by the developer hammergames is always free and can also be downloaded as a colour version. The community member Space pointed this out at the time. You can find both versions over on itch.io via the following links. Black & White version, and Coloured version. :)
