First-person? What?

>Jason C/Wes/Halminator/bluhoteyes/BertO/Hal/smw73/moo/NeedleDodger/Fred

Look, it’s obviously intended to resemble a urinating phallus(really, is it hard to see where they were going when they put a water spout between the ‘bot’s legs and had it protrude slightly?), don’t ignore the obvious. If you saw someone peeing in a crowd, what would you think of them?

>trixx/BrianZachary/Revelation 23

You have to pee in the hole to make it pop up, then you have to quickly jump over before it can pop up again.

>Johnnied

People like you confuse me. Just because something’s free doesn’t automatically make it worth playing. If a restaurant served you a plate of dirt for $12.75, I know that you would complain. But add the magic word FREE, and you’d gobble it up and thank the chef. Oh, and just because I’m “negative”(meaning that I said that I didn’t like the game), I don’t like anything else? If you had an XBOX, and someone anonymously gave you a copy of Drake of the 99 Dragons, while someone else gave you Halo, would you throw out both?

>Fred

"Music - It could certainly be better, but I defy you to show me a game which has pleasant music you’d like to actually listen to."
Okay. The Neverhood, Platypus, Jets 'n' Guns, Incoming, Cave Story, Knytt...the list goes on.

I wish I had never dowloaded this game!
It has caused my computer major problems so I uninstalled it and then had to use system restore. Thing still aren't back to normal yet!
I DON'T like this game at all!

Except for some startup strangeness the first time or two, and no way to end the game except via task termination, I haven't had problems with this. Mostly, I agree with #56, Fred, and the control response is also fine on my PC. Some people may be confuxed by the Options screen--it's not showing your current settings, it's showing what your OTHER options are (will be if you select them). For this type of game, the graphics look fine on my system, and windowed mode also works.

Here's how I get past the Claw--I go the edge, squirt some water which causes the claw to snap, and immediately jump over.

Just a wee addition to my previous post... I played it in windowed mode and it still hiccuped where the 'pile drivers' were present but it didn't crash like it did in the full screen...hmmm maybe it is my PC?!? I managed to get to the point that explains why one uses the space bar to jump... you need the up arrow key to control the toaster in another level.

As for the claw.... you must jump over as soon as the claw recedes. It seems harder to do on the way back to the lab once one has the batteries. The big bruiser at the city gate... just keep watering his foot and avoiding his ammo.

The toaster has to collect all the batteries from the "caves". I've managed to get the valve turned on but the "fan depot" is difficult to say the least. I may never win this game and save mankind from a fate worse than "windows system" but I'll have a fine time trying! LOL :)

You have to keep shooting oner the crack to make the claw stop snapping at every movement.

Well, the comments today reached a new low.

A robot urinating? Where exactly are you getting this ludicrous fantasy from?
The game CLEARLY explains it is a water spout on the coffee machine, get a life you pathetic losers! There's ABSOLUTELY no reason to have made even a minor issue of this.

Now on to the game iteself:

Installation - It requires a password, so what? The readme file CLEARLY explains this, maybe you'd try reading it next time before just complaining about nothing?
As for the game itself, I haven't had any crashes or any problems running and exiting the game several times.

Controls - keyboard ONLY! The way it should be for a side scroller-type game; mouse control for this type of game is useless.

Control reactions - I have not had any problems with delays between the time I press the control and the game reaction.

Language Choice - My game highlights English, I choose that and that is what it then displays, so no idea what the rest of you are doing?

Jumping over the claw - also easily done, watch out for the pile of blocks coming up and don't fall down there btw.

Music - It could certainly be better, but I defy you to show me a game which has pleasant music you'd like to actually listen to.

Desktop Shortcut - It doesn't install one, but you can easily drag one from the start menu, so that is not a major shortcoming. Personally the less icons the better imo.

Conclusion - The game does require some work, esp in the English translation area and some improvement in the graphics. I haven't advanced too far in the game so I am unable to comment on total gameplay however.

Most of the complaints today were completely unrelated to the game's functionality and were mere moaning and groaning about nothing at all or were due to the person's incompetence.

My thanks to the VERY few who did give relevant comments!

Very good game GGOTD! It installed without a problem. I admit I had to go back to the read me file and copy/paste the password. I used the enter key for almost all the intro stuff. The idea of the lives and ammo never running out is always good especially for someone like myself... not a pro at these games. The weapon is the key where the "claw" is concerned. It seems to slow down after grabbing water a few times. After getting through the culvert with the bat-bots the dogs are easy to deal with. The first 'pile driver'? is not much of an obstacle but once I got to the "twin pile drivers' it started to hiccup and pop. Yep, the whole screen was bouncing and flashing with each hit then it just refused to respond. I had to call up the program manager to shut it off. If they could fix that problem, it would be a great game. I want to know what I'll run into in the next screen. I gave it a thumbs up for ingenuity and originality. It promises to be a very good game if they fix it. I have XP/SP2, 700+ ram and NVIDIA card so I don't think it's my PC.

As for those who seem to be having a problem with the robot's weaponry .... it says "water" at the beginning. Personally, I wouldn't trust a robot to have anything more powerful than water in its arsenal anyway.:)

that may not be pee, but the spout is pretty evocativly placed. if a game is going to embrace this level of interaction it has to be beyond reproach. the perspective didn't make any sense, it remained to be isometrically drop down when the robot was above eye level on a crate. the jumping was clunky and had no weight, I'd expect there to be some more physical gravity to a robot driven game ( like robots! )

I'm not the most mature guy, but I can't play a game where I'm peeing on enemies, that's pretty sick. great to see games from other countries and would love to see more good examples from overseas! graphics had a lot of potential but this will never be played again based on content and game controls.

Lol at the remarks here... my, how controversial. I'd just like to know one thing: how can someone with the screen name "bumblebutt" talk about private parts as being offensive, real or imagined in the brain of the beholder. LOL! And yes, I deleted it because I couldn't change the key controls. Thanks anyway, GAOTD... luv your range of game offerings here.
