Sorry, it's a very late day for me; I've only just surfaced at 6pm after retiring around 7am this morning (the usual rabbit sitting etc). I'll post some images etc later if I have the time.

Don't forget that tomorrow will be your last chance to buy four games on Steam that are being removed by the developer. This is because their development house has been running at a loss and they can no longer support the games they created, so made the decision to remove them from sale from tomorrow the 16th December. They are being sold at 90% off to give everyone who maybe wanted the games, but weren't willing to pay the full price. I've purchased all four and although not the best of games, for the price they are 'maybe' worth it if you like either shooters or beat em up games. You can find links in my second comment that lists all the recent deals that are available, plus links to all four games on Steam.

In Brief:
Marble Hopper is a puzzle game made with Unity and with a simple mechanic; i.e. jump over neigbouring marbles to eliminate them from the board, leave only one to progress to the next level. Easy peasy at first, but the levels get more complex as you progress.

The game comes direct from the indie arcade site Itch.io today.

You can see a video of game play HERE.

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 2 hits (VBA32 MaxSecure & Cyclance) from 56 antimalware engines. It's very likely to be a false positive.

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. This is downloaded direct from the developers page on Itch.io and no browser is opened once you've downloaded or installed the game.
You can see the results of the scan via the following link:

Whiterabbit-uk,

Other Free Games:
Please check Delenn's threads over in the giveaway forums HERE {e.g. Crime Cities free for a limited time on GOG} and HERE for the latest non Steam and Steam freebies. Also for the latest Steam sales check THIS Steam database site out. You can list the games in 'price' & 'percentage off' by clicking the headers. If you link SteamDB with your Steam account, all games that you already have will be highlighted in green. When there are Steam games being given away, you'll see 100% off.
Ashampoo-Snap-02-December-2021-02h42m28s-023
Don't forget to check Indie Gala's freebie section HERE, then click on the Showcase header, selecting freebies from the drop down menu; recent additions include The full version of Die Young; we were previously given the prologue version, (which is still available free) Recent games such as Distortions, Dino Run DX, Cheap Golf, Kill Em All, Dead Hungry Diner and Contract with the Devil have now been removed. All remaining freebies can be found in the showcase section (around 100 are available). Not all games that go into the showcase remain free, so you should grab them as soon as you can.

The latest games from Epic end tomorrow afternoon, so this is your last chance to grab them. They include:

Godfall Challenger Edition, (released last year on the 12th November) - Save Aperion. You are the last of the Valorian knights, masters of combat equipped with legendary armour called Valorplates. Ascend in Godfall, a first-of-its-kind, looter-slasher, melee action-RPG the challenger edition includes maximum level unlocks and skills from the outset.

and

We will also be getting the excellent Prison Architect - Welcome Wardens! Only the world’s most ruthless Warden can contain the world’s most ruthless inmates. Design and develop your personalized penitentiary in Prison Architect.

The next giveaway that goes live late tomorrow afternoon is a mystery gift; so, I'm hoping it will be a big name AAA game in time for Christmas. :)

If anyone (who got the game TheHunter: Call of the Wild that was given a way a few weeks ago) is interested in playing some coop with me, please leave a message in the thread I posted over in the forums HERE; I'll then contact you via the email you've used for your forum sign in and I'll send you a link to my Discord channel and make some arrangements to play. I've been playing the game regularly since June this year (accruing over 600 hours of game play). I've found playing with friends much more enjoyable.
The best Indie Bundles sites that have been operating from around 2011 are the Humble Bundle and Indie Gala sites where you'll sometimes find decent bundles with over 90% off the usual price of the games included in the bundles. The Humble site is in my opinion the best. A more recent addition that is worth checking out are the Fanatical bundles (used to be called Bundle stars)that you can find HERE (thanks Delenn for reminding me of this bundle, I've just recovered my account and found thousands of unused Steam keys listed from various bundles I purchased from 2012 to 2017).
Call of Juarez: Gunslinger, which has 95% of almost eighteen thousand 'overwhelmingly positive' reviews on Steam is 100% off HERE temporarily. Grab it while you can. This is an outstanding AAA game, and at the time of release there were very few first person Western themed games available.

Also available free at the moment over on GOG is Cave Story®'s Secret Santa0

As part of Ubisofts 35th anniversary, they are now giving away Rayman Origins; grab it HERE while you can. You do need a free uPlay account to get the game.

p.s. If you are a collector of removed games from Steam. The developer MS Game Studio are closing down their development team due to economic conditions and are removing all of their games from the Steam store from the 16th December 2021, at which time they will no longer be available for sale anywhere. All four games are 90% off until they are removed. I've checked the first two games, a single player game called Bloody Sand : The Gods Of Assyria (£2.37), and a single player/ multiplayer game called North Of Iraq Part 1 (£2.37), and found them both playable and mildly interesting but nothing special. Also available for the last time are Prison 69 (£1.54) which has a content warning being unsuitable for children and Battle Sad Boy (£0.71). The games get mixed reviews via the Steam community. I would say that for the price they are acceptable, but none of the games had anything new or exceptional to offer and in my opinion, are only suitable for those who like to collect games.

Lawrence Carter,

Hi Lawrence, I gave up on the emails a long time ago and simply visit the game giveaway page instead. Knowing that the games run for 24 hours and knowing they start at 8pm during the winter months and 9am during the summer months in the UK. That way I never miss another game (unless I'm on vacation or are ill).

Because I moderate I usually know what games are being given away via the admin panel prior to them going live, which helps not miss any; though I do occasionally.

I would consider not bothering with the emails and just go straight to the giveaway page. When the giveaway project first started I used to open up the site during my morning coffee. I've been retired since my road traffic accident back in 2005, so have always found visiting the site, which started in 2006 a relaxing habit. When the site was still relatively new I found it quite exciting, wondering what the next game would be (back when we got games every day from the likes of Playrix and Alawar games). None were from free game sites, so there were no intermediaries or browser redirections back then. Sadly the financial crisis back in 2008 put paid to that as many small developers who used to contribute went bust and the price of games were drastically cut from $19.99 to between $4 to $6, plus there was a large increase in the number of free game sites and indie bundle sites where you could buy games for virtually nothing.

A nice little old school kind of game using the Unity engine. Downloaded without issue and scanned clean. It's a portable version so no installation is necessary, just unzip the download and launch the application exe file. There are options to adjust both the sound and music volumes. It doesn't save your progress so if you close it and come back, you start over from the beginning. However, there are forward and back arrows at each level so you can bypass a level if you choose. It, obviously, gets more challenging as the game moves on and the boards get larger.

A fun play to have in your game lineup.

Thank you to the Manicware and GOTD teams.
Happy Holidays all!

J,

Thank you for your feedback J. I've only just got up, so missed the game when it went live this morning.

Stay safe.

Whiterabbit-uk,

Your're welcome! I am happy to contribute whenever I can and since the board was empty, I thought whatever little I could share might help some in their decision about trying the game.
