Downloaded and installed. My XP machine froze on level 4, rebooted. Tried it again a couple of days later, froze again on level 2. Rebooted and uninstalled the game. Too bad because I think I'd have enjoyed it.

I ran activate.exe first and then setup.exe. There was no registration key. When I try to start the game, it asks me to register, but of course I don't have the key. Other software that I have downloaded from this site that required registration gave the key at some point during the activation. I did not see one on this game.

Dear GOTD,
When you say Giveaway one would presume it a complete free game with no nags or commitments, that is what I think it means. Its a great game, but when I do download other games and it says I have 60 minutes to play, that I DO NOT LIKE because I immediately remove it from my system. So Please give us totally free full games. We appreciate everything you do, so keep up the good work and keep in mind what I have said.

I tried uninstalling, then installing again. I get the page saying I activated it, but the install says it is shareware. I don't want to lose it if avoidable. I think that happened with the video viewer a while back.

In the setup itself, it said this was shareware. I didn't see any activation key. What's the real story? I haven't had time to try the game. I got in case I wanted to try later.

I gave it a thumbs up, but I agree that the description is a bit overdramatic.

It is nice to play, but it gets boring real quick. It just seems like the levels are too easy and the graphics are something I could make.

Overall, it is a good game for those rainy days.

Looks like a cool game, but when I tried to run it I got an error saying: "Error initializing Direct 3D" I didn't see any requirements for such a thing for this game and am able to run other 3D programs on my XP. Perhaps this is the problem....

No it's not the one I said was the best. Magic Ball is one of the original 3D arkanoids along side X-Ray Ball (which has an editor). Both are very dated now, but still have some playability. Magic Ball 3 is the best of this type of 3D arkanoid clone, but there are others nearly as good, and in some ways have better replayability, such as Incrediball:The Seven Sapphires, or even Strikeball 2 Delux which I think was offered several weeks ago. (and now has an expansion pack available for all those that enjoyed that one). Personally, although I've said Magic Ball 3 is probably the best 3D arkanoid, actually in retrospect, I'd have to say Incrediball is joint first, as it has a great story line interwoven into the game and has some fantastic power ups as well as graphics, that although not as up to date as Magic Ball 3 are never the less pretty cool. Magic ball 3's advantage is it's cutting edge graphics and the fact that it's improved on Magic Ball 2 with new power ups and bonuses. Also I've only recently purchased Magic Ball 3 so am still playing it regularily. I'm not including 2D arkanoids in this discussion, oops! I mean comment. lol

Keep up the marvellous work GotD team, and thank you Alawar, although I've already purchased this one, lol.

For those interested in free stuff. I always left comments about the games I bought from Alawar (Well nearly always)and for Christmas they sent me a package containing a free clock, mug, calandar and a very well made satchel, that my daughter now uses for school; all free of charge, just because I'd taken the time to leave some comments about the games I'd purchased. Nice one Alawar, you're one of the best, although you need to get lots more arkanoids for sale as I think you're choice is rather limited. :)

Good game, though I personally like Shockwave's Ballistik http://www.shockwave.com/gamelanding/ballistik.jsp
and of course Wild Tangent's Blasterball 2: Holidays (which I suggested a few days ago, and despite what people think of Wild Tangent, this is still an awesome game).
