In Brief:
It's solitaire Mahjong, which I'm sure everyone who visits here knows what the game entails; that said, this one has three different modes of play as well as a story. Personally, I prefer the four player game. I bought a decent set with bamboo backs when I was in my mid teens as I preferred it to chess.

The Game:
Put your Mahjong skills to the test as you set out on a mission to save Tarlan from captivity. Scour deep into the Country of Four Seasons searching for Tarlan, as you beat the Mahjong Levels. Enjoy a variety of Mahjong variations as you progress through the stages of the game.

Love’s Power Mahjong, delivers quite a fresh new take in Mahjong gaming. More than just taking you onto polished themed stages, the game gives a re-invigorated sense of twist by integrating multiple variations of play and mechanics as you progress through the levels of the game. At the same time, it sets you out in an epic adventure as it packs its own accompanying backing story.

The game shares several interesting new varieties of play as well - to name a few are; the usual Mahjong pairing game, the logical pair - a brain stimulating pairing game where you pair tiles according to their logical pair (e.g. bow tile and arrow tile), the non-pairs - which lets you scour for the only 2 tiles that does not have a pair in a cluster, its inverse variety the pairs game, the complicated beetle game, and many more.

As you beat the levels of the game, a concluding guide screen will pop-up to introduce the pertaining mechanics of the given level in the game. Nothing much follows into the main play to briefly guide you towards performing the actual scope and limits of that Mahjong variation - although they tend to be really easy to play once you understand their concluding mechanics.

With regards to the core gameplay, its collection of uniquely designed challenges (versions) provide a brain stimulating challenge – even to the veterans of Mahjong games as the mechanics get stirred-up every now and then. Expect the varying type of play as you win the levels and the addition of more tile clusters to heighten the challenge.

And then there is also the shuffle button or hint button to help you over the challenges. But as the game varies in each of the level’s gameplay, the help action should render quite a confusing result especially for those not particularly attentive on to the given set of instructions. Also, like that of any Mahjong game, using the help button will render it unusable for a set cool down sequence.

The game can be initially downloaded over the Big Fish website and be tested for an hour prior to actually purchasing it. Full purchase of the game on the other hand, should reward you the whole game and all its contents without the need for any further micro-transactions and in-game purchases. The hour-long trial period shall give you enough play time to get a feel for the game and allow you to choose whether to buy it or pass altogether.

Love’s Power Mahjong is the way to go if the usual mahjong games don’t seem to bring in the challenge anymore. This relatively new challenging experience of mixing up different mechanics as you progress that makes it kind of complicated to get into but nonetheless just as entertaining as your typical Mahjong game.

Also, as to be expected from the publisher’s list of quality games, it prevails on endowing you with gorgeous visual elements, enticing background music, the compilation of levels to beat, as well as throwing in a bit of a story in the background. A great Mahjong game to get your hands playing with.

Conclusion:
The game is slightly different to the usual Mahjong fair because of the three different modes of play. A definite thumbs up from me. Great for those needed breaks from bigger and more intense games (e.g. Dying Light, Elden Ring, Elder Scrolls, Call of Duty, ArmA 3, etc) and excellent when you need to take a coffee or tea break from the stresses of the day. :).

Notes on Security
I scanned a zipped copy of the installed game using Virus Total and it found 3 hits (VBA32, MaxSecure & Jiangmin) from 61 antimalware engines. These three are amongst only several antimalware suites that often tag TooMKY Games compared to most better known and more reliable antimalware engines, so it's very likely to be a false positive; so, it's very likely to be a false positive.

The downloaded executable 'may' include some low level adware that opens your browser to TooMKY Games home page after the game has installed and may place some shortcuts onto your desktop; these can be safely deleted once the game has installed.

The installation does NOT inject any malware into your system. When your browser is opened to TooMKY Games home page following the games installation, it earns TooMKY Games games some money, part of which is given to the developer of the game for allowing the game to be given away free. The giveaway version of TooMKY games version has had most of the adware disabled.

I've added a few more, i.e. the 11th and 13th image. :) I wasn't well enough to play the game for more than a few moments. Tried to capture any images that show the mechanics and menus. Still, on looking over the review this morning, it did look a little space w.r.t. actual Mahjong deck. :)

Any game you claim while it's being offered is DRM free and will remain in your Indie Gala library permanently (unless Indie Gala goes bust) and can be downloaded at any time, under the showcase or freebie section; 115 games are still available. The latest Epic games include Insurmountable - an adventure roguelike with permadeath, in which the player has to overcome huge mountains. Thanks to the procedurally created environment, no two climbs are the same. Make sure that your climber stays alive by always making sure that your vital values don't get into the critical range. This is fun. Reminds me of some of the "World's Greatest" (Cities, Places, etc.) mahjong games we were given here a few years ago. I remember some of us (including me) puzzling over some of the "logical pairs" matchups and comparing notes on them.

I'm not fond of timed games (which this one is), so I'll probably still prefer World's Greatest Cities Mahjong, which is available from gametop.com or myrealgames.com And there's one called World's Greatest Temples Mahjong which looks to be untimed too.

Windows 10, 64 bit. Took game out of full screen mode. Started playing, had to walk away, minimized game, returned and it was completely frozen. Nothing would bring it back, had to stop it through task manager.

Will do some more checking but not impressed at this point and may uninstall.

I can't see a cursor on my machine. I can use my finger on my touch screen, but that wears on the arm muscles when using a laptop. Am I missing something?

Hi Cindy, try going into compatibility mode and checking some of the boxes. If that doesn't work, it may be due to the resolution your monitor is set to?

Also try cancelling the 3D acceleration via the Options menu.
