Thought I'd try because of the file size. Maybe this one has a little longer game play than some of the short ones. But, not compatible with this 32 bit machine. Oh well, my problem. Won't be on this old machine forever. Thanks GGOTD & Falcoware.

Reminder, the file named 20M in the game's folder is only necessary for installation. Has nothing to do with game operations. Can be safely thrown away with no adverse effects. (And, no, I always try the game before I throw 20M away. Throwing it away isn't the source of the "not a valid 32 bit application" error notice. Just to save folks the trouble of posting, though I appreciate the thought.) Throwing it away will at least shave 113+ Megabytes off the game's size. Thanks to Whiterabbit for "rabbiting" the truth of that out. Or is that ferreting? :P

mediaman13, The 20M file makes a game appear to be of larger size than it actually is but has never been needed for the games downloaded to work up to this point. So yes they can be safely searched out on the entire hard drive and deleted saving 113mb of space for each one which adds up if you are regularly keeping the games downloaded.

In Last Breath Not Today, you play as an elite soldier named Kevin, defending the earth from aliens in this first person shooter made with the recently released falcon engine and not unity. The game was also released in 2023 and has never been given away before on GOTD. First-person shooters use a first-person point of view with which the player experiences the action through the eyes of the character. They differ from third-person shooters where the player can see the character they are controlling (usually from behind, or above). The first person shooter genre dates back to influential earlier games such as Wolfenstein 3D (1992), Doom (1993), Half-Life 1+2, Quake, console hits like GoldenEye 007 and Halo etc so there are many quality games out there both to compare to and try.

IN GAME CONTROLS:
Movement WASD or Arrow Keys
Move camera around: Mouse
Shoot: Left Mouse Button
Aim Gun such as sniper rifle: Bring up aiming cursor: L which will lock full movement to go into aiming mode, and Right Mouse Button held down
Weapon Selection 1,2,3
Action: E (Pick up Ammo or Health Kit such as on back of very first truck when you point to it with mouse after health is lowered etc)
Jump: Spacebar
Run: Left Shift
Main Menu: Escape

A video of gameplay can be found here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6MMvGKCtnnA

So I played it for a bit to get an idea of the game. As a big fan since the original Doom and Castle Wolfenstein, I tried to like it and has fairly good visuals and ran smoothly even using integrated radeon vega 8 graphics chip which is a good sign, but the game is a bit on the basic side so dont expect the next half life 2.

Multiple enemies mainly walk toward you where you typically shoot them while moving backwards or around since they can take several hits, but seem to not even react nor those around them if you shoot them from a distance several times with the sniper rifle. Perhaps can be a bit too dark sometimes as the lighting will change as you play making it a bit difficult to find the items you may need like ammo and health lying about which should be optimized. Remapping controls is always good to add as Left Shift is hard to use when left handed and using the arrow keys for movement along with the mouse. Some areas like in the beginning if you turn around you hit a invisible wall and cant go further even though the graphics show an open road rather than say a rock wall or having the vehicle there instead which would make more sense. When I hit L to bring up the aiming cursor I get my normal windows mouse cursor rather than a reticule for some reason but works. Also, why is Kevin tasked ALONE with clearing territories? Is he the janitor left after all the soldiers were killed as it wasn't explained in the brief story or description.

Overall its certainly worth trying if your computer can run it and happen to like first person shooters. Its also a good sign of potential more to come from this new engine. I had a bit of fun with what I've seen so far despite mainly just killing enemies to progress, gives a pretty good first impression with its graphics yet not apparently hard on the computer specs to do so, but needs some polish based on real people playing to better balance and add to the gameplay beyond kill x to progress. It's March 16, 2024 and the Earth has been attacked! You must save humanity! Here is a video of the game from Falcoware. It looks really dark but that may just be that particular part of the game. It does look like a fun one!

Yes the game has dynamic lighting where it turns from day to night back to day etc as you play the first part of the game such as if you just stand around awhile, and somewhat fits in well in feeling alone and needing a lot of time to clear out the enemies - waiting out the time until light to explore more as its actually a big area. But since its very dark either need a light, make it slightly easier to see during night, or could add an objective such as needing to try to get to the house where the police car is or your vehicle, and then press E to sleep which would make more sense rather than just stand there watching the lighting change until its day and you can go back out again. I tried clearing enemies at night and its possible but they blend in very strongly against the dark and this is not a find health pickups all over type of game to want to do that.
