Fantastic game. Loved Galaga, love this too.

I’ve found that the “demo” errors that show up after you install some of these can be prevented by (a) double clicking the ACTIVATE file that comes in the zip, letting it do its thing, then running SETUP, and (this is the important part,) UNCHECKING the “run … now” box, before clicking FINISH.

Hey #33 jean….you don’t need to be a JERK about it, some nice comments about how to get the full version would be nice for those who never tried this before, and btw, I have been “operating” as you put it, computers for many years, so you can take that nasty comment and i think you know where to put it. For those having problems getting the game to be the real deal and not a demo, be sure you actually read the readme that comes with the archive you download.

Not all offerings (game or not) from Giveaway Of The Day are handled the wame way. Based on the stuff I’ve downloaded in the past, some only require one step (setup), some need two (activate, setup). Some may need you to input extra info to get your installed program/game to be the full thing (registration info that should be in the readme).

Take a few seconds to see what you need to do to get the offerings to work as intended or offered, just as you should with anything you download and run, free or not.
