This is just the second game I have DL from here and I loved it. Remindes me of a game called Land Of Runes that I had played in the past. Nice way to pass the time. Not worth the asking price however. I did wish to buy this so I could place it on my laptop. The fish tanks get crowded very fast and I can find no way to reset the game. The menu does not offer much help either. If you turn off recommendations it still gives them to you during game play. Those things in mind when this game gets to the $10.00 level I will look to buy it.

Great graphics and spooky sound. Game play becomes quite boring as the difficulty level increases.

Instead of 1 puzzle please add more mini games like Tropix.

Great game. I highly recommend it.
(I have some recommendations to make it even better below.)

Usually with matching-type games on here, I play them for a few hours for a couple of days, and that is it.

But this game I've been playing all week! This is a really good game! The aquarium idea, the music, and colors of the tiles -- somehow it all works in ways that the other match 3 games haven't, although Atlantis comes a close second.

Bugs:
1. Turning "hints" off in the options doesn't stop hints appearing.
That is the only actual bug I found.

Suggestions:
1. By the time you get the Gold Cup your aquarium is so full of similarly colored ornaments it is no longer attractive. In fact it is rather ugly.

I suggest fixing this by:
a) More varied less murky colors in the ornaments.
b) Zooming out the ornaments and background as more ornaments are added. This has the effect of making the aquarium bigger, except you don't zoom out the fish. (The fish don't get too croweded, and keeping their detail is good.)

2. Variable difficulty levels.
a) Since changing the time limit is easy, you could create 10 levels of difficulty to create more replay opportunities.
b) When "hints" are turned off, add a "hint" button to show a single hint.

3. Improve the help. The help for the different special tiles went by too fast. It would be good to have a page that repeats how the different special tiles are earned, how they are used, and what they do.

4. This is more effort from the artists, but it would be nice to have different themes available for different aquariums. For example:
a) Circus
b) Holiday Camp
c) Cottage interior
So either
(i) the background and ornament selection would both be set when you bought a new tank, or
(ii) you'd pick your background when you bought the new tank, but the ornament selection would remain the same (just be a bigger selection with ornaments to go with the other backgrounds).

Great game, I'm still playing it a week later.

Kind of boring. It goes on forever. It's so easy that one can leave the final match alone just to build up "money" for as long as you want. Unfortunately you get so little money that it's just a waste of time.

Update: Liked the game, but had to remove it from my Windows 7 Home computer. After installing and playing the game for a couple hours the computer crashed giving me the "Blue Screen of Death". I have had the computer for about a year and never had a problem with it. I uninstalled the game, but still received the BSoD. Had to restore the computer with a saved drive image to clear the problem. Not sure what the program changed, but this is the reason I'm very selective about what gets installed on the computer.

Not sure how one is supposed to come in here, download a program or game, and give a review or opinion about it the same day?

Does Playrix know how to create anything other than Match 3?

Besides that this offering lacks some of the polish of some other Playrix games. It certainly is nowhere near as polished as "Fishdom"; the graphics are tinny and elementary school stuff. It is challenging to a degree, but it gets boring and tedious after a while. And with the lack of other elements that some other Playrix games have it's just not all that good.

Not a game I'd pay for.

Very nice game that plays well on the PC. Only problem I have with the game is when I use the keyboard volume controls to adjust the sound level the screen goes to solid black. Only thing displayed is the volume control window with a solid black background.

Tried downloading and installing via Firefox. Set-up would not launch let alone install. Same result as yesterday's game offering --> FAIL. Closed Firefox and opened Internet Explorer. Downloaded via IE and clicked on the setup.exe file. Set-up launched and program installed without any problems. Go figure. This weekend is the FIRST time that trouble with download & install was encountered using Firefox.

Downloaded, installed & played without problems.

I've only played a couple of levels so far to test it, so can't think of any improvements: it plays smoothly, is delightful to look at, and I like that you can keep making matches even as tiles are dropping.

You chose your tank at the beginning of the game, so why not set up different identities (me1, me2, me3) with different tanks, to change up the scenery?

Thanks, Playrix & GGOTD for another great game!

I like it. It seems smoother than the other Fishdoms. I like the Relaxed or Timed modes. The new plants are pretty cool. Not really spooky though...But enough for kids.I didn't have any problems on my Win 7 pc. No exit problems. One thing though...Why, oh why does this game always ask me twice if I want to exit? Once when I exit tank and then AGAIN when I am exiting the game...

I downloaded this without a single thought. Playrix games are soooooo good. I love them. This one is "spook-tactular" LOL and just in time for Halloween. I am going to work this one into the kids Halloween party. While working today to reduce the size of the contents in my drives, I have been playing this all day and thoroughly enjoy the breaktime. Simply, great. My compliments to the chef ;0) on this one. No problems with the download, installation and the registration process at all. All went without a hitch. I love the music and graphics. Thanks GGAOTD and Playrix for this lovely game. Now, I have to dash off and do some work on my system and play some Fishdom_Spooky Splash as I am about to get a bronze cup. Yeah. Peace.

Really cute graphics and fun eerie sound effects. The kids (and I, who am 48, lol) will enjoy this when we get to play together. Thanks GOTD and Playrix software. I wrote about you on my blog http://alltheworldisart-funcreativitygod.blogspot.com/2012/08/free-licensed-video-game-normally-20.html plus I added visual ticker to my freebies page. I love how easy this game was to download and install on my Windows laptop 7 and how easy to activate, plus how the video did NOT mess up my visuals on my system.

Finally, a Fishdom game I don't already have and isn't as cheesy as the Christmas version! I love Halloween and anything Halloween-themed, too. As others have mentioned, it would be nice to have other tanks instead of the same one over and over, but I have to say, this game is eye-catching and fun! I especially want to mention the "relaxed" play, because I hate being pressured to beat the clock. I feel the levels are sufficiently challenging enough to keep me going without the extra stress! Thanks GGAOTD!

This game installed and displays perfectly. After the last two could not display anything except a rapidly flashing screen I was a little cautious about installing it, but no worries, it works fine. I wish I could find the fix for Alex Gordon since it's already installed now.
Cute little graphics, a nice addition to the other Fishdom games.

Copy/paste from my post on the previous Fishdom giveaway:

Wikipedia surveys the Fishdoms:

“Fishdom … published … 2008 … (f)ive sequels … Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey, a hidden object spin-off… April 2009 … Fishdom: Spooky Splash, a Halloween-themed match-3 sequel … October 2009 … Fishdom Frosty Splash, a Christmas themed installment … Fishdom: Harvest Splash, a farm-themed … installment … In May 2010, Fishdom 2 was released, with improved graphics and new levels … (a)ll three of the holiday themed Fishdom games were put together into one game in September 2010, called Fishdom: Seasons Under the Sea, however it does not contain any new content.”

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishdom

So, with today's giveaway, we have now had four of the these (Fishdom, Hidden Odyssey, Spooky Splash, and Frosty Splash), but not (yet!) Harvest, or Fishdom 2.

Happy camper (or aquanaut). Love me some Fishdom.

Plays ok Win 7 x64 Ultimate from second drive. Not sure if using 2nd drive caused this but game generated shortcut pops msg that can't find BASS.dll which is supposedly an audio file? Anyway I had automatically used Send to Desktop method to make shortcut and it launched right away.
Sliders, semi-full screen. If you've loved this series here's another. Haven't played many levels to see how tough can get but the
optional relaxed, timed modes helps and hints/tips can be checked intra-game. Thanks team.

I have this game from the last time it was given away and play it all the time when I need to relax. It is a never ending game and great fun. If you love match 3 games you will love this. It is challenging on some levels yet easy enough to enjoy playing. My only comment about the game is there should be more decorations after 300 tanks they get very boring. Thanks again for the game I hope everyone downloads it and enjoys it as much as I do.

Thank you so very much for a great game! I am going to wait to really play this during Halloween, but I have played the hour demo before. The colors, and music are really fun. I wish there were more than one tank. The standard Fishdom match three game play is here, the fun part comes with the shop where you can pick all sorts of fish, plants and pumps or food ect for the fish. The goal is to fill up all the meters and have your fish be super happy. They don't die which is a great thing. If you want you can also make this have a screen saver too. I love the fact that you can have it be full or window mode, custom cursor choice.

I have bought the winter Fishdom and I love Playrix games, they produce quality games for affordable prices. Thank you for allowing us to have a great free game!! I love to play these sorts of things when I have just an hour or so to do something or when I need a break from my rpgs.

Have a great day all!

@9 Allan - I have the same problem. I noticed my hard drive still spinning even though the screen went black. I left it alone and around 5 or 10 minutes later it went back to Windows 7. To solve the problem, right click on the shortcut to Fishdom.exe and select "Properties". Then click on the "Compatibility" Tab. Then check the box for "Run this program in compatibility mode for:" and then select "Windows XP (Service Pack 3). Then try running Fishom again. HTH

Well, I can't get this one to run, just a black screen due to my out of date graphics, oh well. Maybe one day I'll hit the lottery and be able to get a new computer, when fishies take to the skies~LOL.

Anyway update on "Fishdom Premium": Now at level 1170, highest one board score $42, 563, total score $16, 247, 945. Still working towards the 1B. Figure if it goes past there we can say it is truly unlimited play.

Sure wish I could have gotten this new one to work, was looking forward to seeing what the game pieces looked like.

I have NEVER had a problem installing one of your games. This one is different. I downloaded the file, ran setup, and it appears to unzip correctly. Then it tries to run the installer, and I tell it to allow, this is all perfectly normal on my system.

Normally when the installer runs, it takes to your site to create the authorization code. This time, no explorer window comes up. It just returns to the zip file as if to ask me to run setup again. I have tried numerous times, and the results are the same.

I am running Windows 7, and have had the same system and configuration for a few years now. Nothing has changed that I know of.

Hello everyone,

I'm just wondering, why anyone would pay $19.95 for this game (aside from today's free giveaway) when it's ALWAYS FREE at MyPlayCity? There's also 4 other Fishdom games Free to download. Of course you have to be diligent when downloading NOT to install toolbar & homepage but it's all worth it.

My first time commenting.
This game is not my normal genre - I prefer Hidden Object.
However I have found that previous "Playrix" have been excellent games so decided to try it.
I do like the untimed choice - I have completed my "Three score yrs and ten" a long time ago so fast games are a no no - have played a few levels - and over all I think it is a very good game.Loaded and run Vista 64 no problems.
Thanks for the free game.

For anyone who uses 7-zip, be aware that you can't just click on the setup.exe in their little window to install the game. You really have to extract the files into a folder somewhere, and THEN click on setup.exe

I haven't had a chance to play it yet because it took me a while to figure out why I couldn't get the game installed and now I have to run, but I'll try it out later.

I have the other ones, so I'm sure I'll like this one, too!
Thanks.

This came out a few years ago and I think it's already been a giveaway.

Unfortunately, most of the Fishdom games seem like the same game with a few changes. The levels tend to start looking alike. And I know this was offered as part of a Holiday packed Fishdom game which I would recommend buying instead.

With these games the tendency is to get more difficult as the game goes on. It would be more interesting to have the levels more random, so that one gets fairly easy level later in the game. Although this would be more for the experienced players who are likely to get bored along the way.

It would also be nice to have more than just three themed icons. In fact a non-Fishdom game which focused upon the theme subject could be interesting, such as a game that might have one building up a haunted house instead of a fish tank.

I would also like to see more variety in the tanks. Once you've filled up each type (although I think there's only one in this game) there isn't much reason to keep playing.

And a chargeable hammer for those pesky last pieces would be useful.

Hi, Fishdom Games are indeed very addictive:), we too have most of them, but play nearly every evening Fishdom H2O Hidden Odyssey (hidden objects), since matching 3 or 5 can become a bit "mechanical" and eye-dazzling.. Now we play only one favorite Tank (Jolly Roger), keep it quite tidy and not over-crowded, with basic essentials and decorations, and.. for money only (over quarter of a million $$ so far..:)

I have to say that that's what happens in absence of different Tanks (or Objects..), so I personally wish Playrix Fishdom developed more of that kind, please!:) But they are ALL very cute, the Fish and Creatures are like "pets" (glad you pay them attention, ha ha, grateful when gifts are bought a.s.o) Highly recommended! Thanks for this one GAOTD.
