I was gutted when I lost this off my pc originally. A good game, that works well on my netbook, as well as my desktop.

It can get repetitive after a few hours, but is easy to play, and have been playing it every day, unlike my extensive collection of more involved games. Straightforward, and enjoyable to play.

I found some version that was offered in my country in Czech,

#51, Rob, I wasn't referring to Stephen, who does an excellent job here on the Game Giveaway site, I was referring to the main GOTD site. If you ignore the votes, then that's good, you should. Unfortunately, many people do go by them. There is a severely mentally ill person who has been manipulating votes on GOTD for the better part of a year. They completely change the characteristics of the voting, and although it's a legal term and not a medical one, their voting is insane, harming the vendors but also the users, by trying to keep them from reading helpful comments and learning anything useful. It's mostly that one sicko doing the manipulation, there is at least one vendor, but must vendors don't manipulate the votes. There is another person who appears to be manipulating the votes with a program, they can run up close to a thousand votes per comment, which I can't compete with. I did have a manual duel with the primary sicko back when I was verifying their existence, which I won, but it's far too time-consuming for such an unimportant site. What's offensive is that GOTD has allowed some psychopath to take over the voting. Given a lack of willingness to do anything at all, GOTD should simply eliminate the voting.

I just finished playing thru the first two cups and find the game enjoyable enough, altho to be honest I prefer Fishdom 2. I just think the tank accessories colours are brighter and more colourful. The impression I get from the game is that it's an earlier, more simplistic version of Fishdom. Also, I would like to have the choice as to whether or not I want to play using the timer or in "relaxed" mode.
other than those, what I consider minor things, I'm enjoying the game, and will keep it. I have uninstalled the original Fishdom game, as I got spoiled playing Fishdom 2. I agree with Whiterabbit that some mini games would be nice, just for variety, as I have found that after playing the game for hours, that I get bored with the match three part of it, but keep playing to keep decorating the tanks, and finishing levels. I'd like to see them combine some levels with hidden objects in the game. That's actually what I was expecting with H2O, but as many know, that's stricktly a hidden object game, which I highly recommend to anyone who likes that genre.
Thank you Whiterabbit and GGOTD for all the time and work you put into this project for us, and I'm glad that your health is better now.

I made comment #20. Stephen you are correct in the fix which was to go into Safe Mode and install the game. I had it downloaded and decided to come back and view comments. It works, thanks whiterabbit. So maybe I will stick around and not leave the GGOTD afterall :). You are afterall great people and even though we may not like the fix you came up with because of hackers, Themida does work with the Safe Mode. I can still accept you and hang in there with you. Thanks GGOTD. Thanks for sharing with us all.

Downloaded with no problem, installed on Win 7 64 bit laptop without issue, ran fine. On Samsung Series E Slate running Windows 8 Release Preview, got a User Account Control screen that stopped the installer on initial run - choosing the "More information" link and then selecting the "Continue Anyway" button allowed the installer to complete without issue. Once installed, runs fine, although I've yet to try it with the touch interface on the Slate. (using Bluetooth keyboard and mouse)

Another great Playrix game - they rarely fail to please. Thanks - this one's definitely worth having/keeping.

Fubar (and all), ratings are irrelevant! If you base your life experiences on others' ratings, you are going to miss out on lots of worthy experiences. It doesn't matter at all if 99.9% vote thumbs-down. You and/or I might just enjoy it! Ratings, polls, etc. mean nothing. It is only your own personal experience that matters. Just ignore the ratings and decide for yourself.

I find your "sick puppy" cut-down offensive and totally unnecessary. I'm surprised that it hasn't been moved to /dev/null where it belongs.

We have stellar moderation here on GGOTD! Whiterabbit and co pull yeoman's duty all week and 24/7 during the weekend to bring us a couple of games, moderate and help out those with questions, and forward ideas and comments to the game company reps. In two and a half years, I've never had a problem with any of the games, had loads of fun and learned lots from Whiterabbit here and from others on the forum. I don't understand your complaint about GGOTD.

I accidentally voted this down, but I haven't even installed it yet - what I was trying to do was filter the comments to see what the people who did vote it down have to say ...

Is there any way to correct this action?

(btw, it does look like a good game, which is the only reason I am downloading it - I remember playing a similar type game, don't remember by who or the exact title, but I enjoyed that one, so I'm going to give this one a try as well).

.......................Moderator Comment.......................

I don't know of any way to change the vote for you. That said it really doesn't matter. apart from one vote not making much difference; to be honest, the voting system is flawed as it doesn't show a true measure of whether game is good or bad. If there was a more quantitative measure then it would be useful, but as you have (be it accidental) done it's easy enough to vote negative even when not playing the game. It's been suggested time and time again that a more useful measure would be to only be able to vote one you've played the game. That would almost certainly stop those that just vote negative for the hell of it (yes there are some who do that. All in all I'd take the votes with a pitch of salt. it's much better to read the comments to gauge what the game will be like.

Great game. Like to make 1 suggestion instead of the tiles falling downwards is it possible to make them fill upwards as you clear them on higher levels and make them fill in side ways as I think it would make the game more interesting.

Love me some Fishdom, but, yeah, what's the difference between the original and the "Premium" version?

Wikipedia surveys the Fishdoms:

"Fishdom ... published ... 2008 ... (f)ive sequels ... Fishdom H2O: Hidden Odyssey, a hidden object spin-off... April 2009 ... Fishdom: Spooky Splash, a Halloween-themed match-3 sequel ... October 2009 ... Fishdom Frosty Splash, a Christmas themed installment ... Fishdom: Harvest Splash, a farm-themed ... installment ... In May 2010, Fishdom 2 was released, with improved graphics and new levels ... (a)ll three of the holiday themed Fishdom games were put together into one game in September 2010, called Fishdom: Seasons Under the Sea, however it does not contain any new content."

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fishdom

We have had three of the these (Fishdom, Hidden Odyssey, and Frosty Splash), but not Spooky, Harvest, or Fishdom 2.

I've owned Fishdom for years, and I still play at least one level every day. The brightly-colored sea creatures are fun to look at, and the bombs, lightning, and other power-ups add a bit of strategy to the standard match-3 gameplay. The varied levels have some designs that make getting that last piece in the corner just difficult enough to be challenging but not so hard as to be too frustrating.

The first few levels are tutorials, and they're ridiculously easy, but stick with it for awhile, and the game comes into its own.

I've played up past the first tank and am not nearly as impressed as I was with Fishdom H2O - Hidden Odyssey. This is a much more slimmed down version without the storyline and trophy display cases.

That said, it's a good match 3 game which will be suitable to preoccupy my niece and nephew when they come to visit. For me, it offered no challenge at all to finish the levels with plenty of time to spare and I lost interest perhaps too quickly. I must have just been spoiled by the more advanced version.

Hi All,

When GGOTD first came out with this game back in April of last year I had installed it. I have a Vista and had no problems with the installation. I love this game as it reminds me of The Big Kahuna. I am on level 387. Going to this level I notice all levels being played over and over again so it is getting boring. I just wish they had made add ons so we can play different boards. But because I love it so much I will keep on playing this game. Thanks so much GOTD for all your hard work.

I hate fish and aquariums but I've always loved this game!

re: Premium

You've said that there's no evidence that this is Premium or any different than the other times. I've noticed that the game within the wrapper tried to over-write the previous fishdom file. It also took my existing profile. Would this indicate that it's NOT premium?

I have the ipad version of this game. After trying it out, I actually bought it and it is still one of my favorite ipad games. When I bought my 75 year-old mum an ipad, this was the first game I loaded into her ipad. Being a serious business-woman type of person, she has never played a computer game in her life. The first time she tried it, she was still playing the game two hours later, and it was already midnight, lol. It kept her entertained for months. So everyone, give this game a try. It's great!

Ditto #16, same file flagged.
@mod--assurances are one thing, but if the wrapper is causing problems (and many have been reported over the last little while) it is obviously a little to intrusive, similar to some DRM schemes, It needs to be more than reviewed, it requires change.

Once again i get the same error with Themida. It appears i will not be able to enjoy anymore games from GGOTD. Since you changed to Themida i have never been able to install any of the games. I have really enjoyed trying out the new games and being able to give a comment about how i like them. Same with the GAOTD i get a Themida error. I have NEVER had any problems installing any of the games until you installed Themida. I like fishdom, it is a cute little game too bad i don`t get to try the newest one. Thanks anyway, get rid of Themida and maybe all of the rest of us can enjoy the games too :(

Try installing the game in safe mode.

When rebooting the computer select F8 during the boot up sequence. Then select Safe Mode with networking. This may enable you to install the game (and software), then reboot to play the game as normal. I've had no trouble installing the game on three different computers and a laptop , one of the computers with Win 7, Vista and XP as as dual boot system (which I use for testing game giveaways). The game (and apps) worked on all of them, so I can only think that the problem is a conflict with some software you have installed on your computer. Check out the giveaway blog. There may be some more answers there. I think someone mentioned that it's one or two different AV softwares that's causing the problem, but I may be wrong as I'm quoting second hand information told to me on Skype last night.

Mikiem has said (over in the forums) that it's not a good idea to try and install programs when in Safe Mode if you are using Vista; as for the other platforms I'm sure it's okay.

Please let me know if that suggestion works as no one has confirmed whether it will work. Thank you.

I had an old shareware copy of Fishdom floating about so I did a comparison and couldn't see anything different.

Pretty much all the Fishdom games are the same except for changes in the theme and a few icons. They are good games but it would be nice if they could come up with something new for them.

Less than a quarter of the way into the giveaway and todays game has already exceeded the download numbers of yesterdays game. with almost 4000 downloads.

That said, this is still low for this game. Generally Playrix game downloads are usually well over 6000 by this time of the day, so the issues with the wrapper are certainly impacting on community members downloading the game.
