Novel twist to an otherwise dull game. Good graphics make it bearable be really there are just too many of this type to get excited about it.

Nice graphics, quite addictive. Very good music, which fits the egyptian theme very well.

How do you get past the level (forgotten tmeple) that is pitch black. I must have tried 30 times but not being able to see anything makes it very difficult - any suggestions? Other than that I like this game.

I love this type of game and this one has great graphics and gameplay which will give me hours of play. Especially like collecting the keys etc. Thanks for the freeware downloads.

I had it too so i checked "win 98/2000 compatibility" and now it works fine

I keep getting a "software vertexprocessing not initialised!!" and the game won't start.

Ohh now for the game: It's got some good graphics and is enjoyable and not easy on normal, it's fun and interesting. I passed four levels in a few minutes not that hard is it? It's good and entertaining good sounds not dull or annoying. It's not all that bad.

*Note* Game doesn't like certain anti-viruses and will freeze in fullscreen. Disable your anti-virus when running this game.

downloaded and installed beautifully...the graphics are wonderful..is the soundtrack available seprately ? i really like it (no joke, i would exercise/dance to it)this is such a good game , i hardly miss my mouseball.

also updated directX and nothing...still the same black screen.....any sugestions?

Comment #36 Star-X, I had the same problem when i first loaded it onto my old computer, but on doing the old ctr/alt/delete and escaping the program, then rebooting the program, it worked fine. The computer has a 1.5GHz cpu and only 256Mb of memory, with a 9200 ATI 128Mb graphics card runninh DX9c. I hope you sort it out.

Nope this game definitely has some coding issues. I start it goes into fullscreen mode and eats all my cpu with a black screen and only in game sound.

Definitely not a DirectX issue as I have 9.0c and video drivers shouldn't even affect a game like this.

Comments: Sounds nice although I can't comment on the gameplay as it takes 90% of my cpu usage without giving me any video...Grr

Nice game but I see that it is "time-limited". I expected it to be "free" ie with no requirements to pay! perhaps I am mistaken?

Well yes, it's yet another arkanoid. But this one has MUCH nicer graphics than Magic Ball and Magic Ball 2 that were previously offered. Colors are more subdued in Egyptoid instead of childish-looking bright primary colors. Also, this one is 3D. Magic Ball 1 & 2 claimed to be 3D but were really 2D+, 2D graphics stacked to make them resemble 3D.

In Egyptoid the metal ball actually looks like a metal ball instead of a dot. There's vases and other objects to bust instead of continual rows of bricks in different arrangements, there's also moving bricks that act as obstacles. The bricks (which are really cubes) all have different intricate graphic images instead of just being different colors, background graphics are greatly improved in this one as well. Keys to catch to open secret levels is a nice addition. Nice soundtrack, music and sounds are adjustable in options. Options also allow screen resolution to be changed to 1024 x 768 so you're not stuck playing in 800 x 600.

I like the game, but cant seem to start it up. I can only hear sound, but no image.....any suggestions?

This one looks really cool, and I like the soundtrack. Unortunately, my computer doesn't like this game even after reinstalling. The music plays, but the video doesn't, so I have a black screen with the cool soundtrack. Too bad. I can't complain though, I've had hours of fun with some of the other games I've downloaded from this site. Thanks GGOTD!

This one is not compatible with triple screen. Even on a mono-monitor system, the windowed mode is broken.

Thank you for the game. My only comment is that you have to start over at level 1 each time. Even though I passed other levels, each time you start again at level one. I wish there were a way to save progress and start at the level you lost at last. Thank you

I really like this arcanoid. Graphics are great. Runs very smooth and is challenging. It has a different spin on it which is really cool (you collect artifacts to unlock bonus'). Not "child-like" which is (not as embarrassing to play..LOL) nice. Thank you GOTD. Very enjoyable.

I don't usually bother with the (endless stream of) arkanoid clones, but this one looks pretty funky, I'll be checking this out.

Thanks GAOTD, I know someone who likes these games a lot; sure appreciate the publishers variety of releases. It's good that it has 72 levels, hope they have a level of toughness to get past them all.

Many thanks for the free game. Only 1 problem, ANOTHER arkanoid game. Whilst i like the game, i think the game's creator ought to earn their money and make an original game. This is the second one you've offered us this week, there are simply too many on the market nowadays. The only thing that makes this game appealing is that it is FREE and certainly not worth paying for, there are better arkanoid games out there.
