Easy choice to pick this up after the Crusaders of Space 2 giveaway awhile back. I have to somewhat agree, though, that neither game feels as good as Tyrian or Raptor used to. Mouse control just isn’t as fluid for a shooter as gamepad control, and the levels make it feel more like a Centipede clone.

Still, for free, no complaints from me.

Semicolon, the RPG shareware industry has some true gems, which is why I wish they’d get some of that genre on here. FastCrawl, or the Avernum games by Spiderweb Software, or Aveyond… all in the right price range to be free for a day, and they’re games that deserve attention. Ah well.

Mediocre, not nearly as good as Tyrian 2000, which happens to be FREEWARE…

I’m convinced that shareware producers don’t have an ounce of creativity in them.
