Downloaded this one the last time it was offered. Very good game. Have to admit that it's been a little while since I last played; now I might just play it after I submit this message. Again, thanks GAOTD. :)

You can get the game from MyPlayCity also. Using UniversalExtractor on the downloaded file you end up with three folders. Locate game.exe in the folder {app} and run it. No installation at all necessary. When you end the game your browser opens trying to connect with myplaycity site as usual.

Thank you Argos, though it's already been mentioned above. you failed to mention that MyPlaycity noe requires you to install toolbars and change your home page to MyPlaycity (this can be reversed once the game has been installed). It's important to inform the community of such things when posting suggestions like this. Thank you. :)

What is the version number of this game??? It would be nice if GGOTD and/or the developers made sure the version numbers are listed on the Giveaway page as well.

This is one of my favorites, I've had it on every computer since it came out! I'm currently running it on XP & 7 with no problems. I've beaten it countless times but always go back and start over. I think most will enjoy this one, but then I'm biased being such a huge fan ;)

Hi Susan, do you know how much system memory or graphics memory you have. Sounds like your computer may not have enogh resources? whether that is because you are running a lot of background programs (can happen if you install a lot of the main giveaways), or whether you don't have much memory; a way to solve that situation would be to install the free version of Game Booster, (we got the Pro version last year). you can get it from the following link:

#12: <em>"... playing the game in full screen mode somehow interferes with the configuration of my icons on my desktop screen. Really messed it up. I am not the only one who experienced this, because also Fubar made a remark on this phenomenon. If the developer has fixed this bug (sloppy coding, or whatever may be the reason) I will be the fisrt to reinstall the game again "</em>

I found this answer at microsoft.com using Google: http://goo.gl/fuzDX

I haven't seen the problem on any of our PCs running ATI graphics, so I can't add anything to that except to say it's NOT AFAIK a bug in the game or anything for that matter that the game devs got wrong. My wife runs a former GOTD called Icon Toy, & I mention it because it has a simple one-click option to put the desktop icons back wherever you had them -- maybe something along those lines would work for you?

Thanks for the feedback. I remember that partcular giveaway. There is a freeware option, but I can't remember the name (anyone?)

I first played marble-shooting games via MAME- apparently there were some in the arcades though I don't remember seeing them myself. I can't remember the titles though. I tried to do a web search but the term "arcade" has been co-opted by the online gaming community so a search for "arcade marble shooters" and the like just gave me a bunch of links to those sites.

Anyway, more to topic, I downloaded the Luxor series from Steam awhile back and fully enjoyed them, though for some reason the first game no longer runs and the second always required a workaround to play. I thoroughly enjoyed them though they weren't quite the games that I played on MAME (Zuma is more like the arcade games) but that's like saying modern breakout games are not quite the games that Arkanoid was (or the original Breakout for that matter).

From this experience, and that of Playrix games in general, I was pleased to download today's offering and it plays so far just like the Luxor games, so if you like those you will like this game. Similarly if you don't like Luxor... Right from the beginning I was offered powerups to purchase but so far I have not needed a single one. Seeing as I have only completed three levels though, that doesn't really say anything. Just buy the powerups and have them ready for the more intense levels later on, right?

Luxor has some pretty intense later levels and I trust this will too, but of course the opportunity to comment on them will be long past by the time I get to them the way I play games. I should have more to say next time this is up for grabs.

Than you for your feedback QM. Did you see my PM over in the forums?
