One problem, though: it seems to have some kind of conflict with Windows Media Player. While I'm listening to music using Windows Media Player, the game will just shutdown. By that, I mean, it will disappear from off the screen but will not allow me to restart it until I go into the Windows Task Manager under the Processes tab and end the task. "Cest la Vie"...please keep on writing those lovely reviews Merril. :) Wit respect to Ravenill's comment #25, (no disrespect implied) I don't know about most of the games that were mentioned above, but I do know for certain that Battlefield 1942 plays via XP Professional SP2. It is unlikely that EA would give such a popular title away despite it being 5 years old. I for one (despite having all the other Battlefield titles still revisit this fantastic FPS. The modding community are still making maps for this game of which there are around 500+ as well as hundrds of mods. You can buy the whole BF1942 package, which includes the original Battlefield 1942 as well as "The Road to Rome" and "Secret Weapons of WWII" expansion packs called "Battlefield 1942 World War II Anthology for around the same price as one of these arcade games that are offered every day. There are still quite a few servers running these game if you enjoy playing online. I also have all thhe C & C games and they run on XP as well. I've just bought Vista Home Premium edition, and ope that my favorite games will still play on that OS, but if not i'll still have XP running on a separate partition. :) So I'll still have all the great games that the Game giveaway team ave entertained us with.
