jaxx @ jacksonms0212@gmail please respond to my last post. I would like to start a re-poor. I have some gr8 marketing ideas and a very talented artist in my 12yr going on 30 not so little girl. I am not just a proud father Emily has been painting on a collage level since she was 6yr."no I am not kidding" I wish I could attach some of her work.I am certain that you or one of your software providers would be interested in her work. Again thank you for all you do here and those you do it for.

I have had only one chance to play this game,I liked it but my little girl loved it.I had to do a full uninstall to get rid of the that DAMN tool bar that took over my hole browser system "all of them " how bout a choice. I read careful and clicking next even with the boxes unchecked when I chose to install the game the toolbar came with. No matter what boxes where check or not. This is not the first time I have had this issue but never this hard to get rid of the toolbar "Incredibar" I think it was called. Guys this site has helped so many people to gain software that they would never be able to afford on their own for Biz,School,Home and ect. I have myself downloaded quite a few and never had more than a small problem registering that is most of the time taken care of with a "rerun" of the give away. Take care of things like this toolbar I don't want to have to stay away from this site or give a bad review like this on the reg. " not cool" @ all.

Thanks for all the work you & yours put into this site and its software promo's it means alot to the broke ones needing some of the programs U have had here. Keep up the good work & don't let a few bad ups discourage you from the real reasons you keep this site going.I would like to say a big thanks to the software providers,as it is great for marketing and a chance to try before you buy. It is a big help to be able to use these programs in a just starting Biz and be able to upgrade as they can afford to do so.I don't think GAOTD knew how much it was really helping the just starting out. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK & KEEP THEM COMING . "GAMES ARE COOL TO!!! " LOL SMILE GUYS you matter.

It isn't really fair if people are rating the game based on the genre of game.

Maybe add a voting option of: "I don't like this type of game/I don't like this genre of game." That way people can vote that they don't like the type of game, without poisoning the overall results.

It is also not fair if people are rating the game based on previous versions of the game -- since features may have been added, interfaces tuned, and bugs removed.

Another suggestion would be to *require* a comment if they are voting down the game, or to give a choice of a few possible reasons for not liking it.

Darn it. I was so busy playing Fishdom Spooky Splash from 2 weeks ago that I missed this.

It certainly sounds like a good premise for a game.

I'm a fan of the concept, but this particular implementation isn't doing it for me. The ability to use the keyboard is great, but there needs to be a way to choose input options (mouse/touch/keyboard). As it is, the mouse position seems to override the keyboard strokes, as someone mentioned previously; I couldn't find anywhere to park the mouse that didn't draw game focus. Being able to change what key binds to what note would be an added bonus.

Missing: options menu, as noted. Useful help menu; no mention of sparklies, magnet usage, etc. I just keep feeling like the game got mostly finished and they threw the beta out for people to mess with. I'll keep it around a while, but I'm not sure how much use it'll get.

Using: Windows 7 laptop with touchpad. Installed fine, touchpad works fine, my aim needs improving :)

One suggestion for people who like the game but are having trouble keeping up: you can probably edit the level speed by going into the data folder in Catch or the media folder in Jungle and opening the levels.xml file in Notepad. You'll see each level has a speed value which hovers around 1.0, so there should be plenty of room to slow them down, probably down to 0.1, though I haven't tried it.

It's my impression that this is a small rewrite, meaning to correct some bugs, of Tunes - Jungle Adventure rather than a slightly different version. The Catch shows a splash screen from Nuclear Games, now their publisher. However, on Nuclear's site, I can only find Jungle Adventure available, and only the mobile app. This may be meant to replace it and is getting a role out here first. However, I suspect from some of the creation dates on the .ogg files that this may have been finalized at the last second.
In any case, it appears both version have little niggling rough spots about them. Jungle Adventure had a nearly blank splash screen in it which seemed to be a place holder for a splash screen they didn't get in time (Nuclear Games) or just forgot to put in. (You can edit this out in Jungle by opening "res.xml" in notepad and searching for "mpc", then removing the entire line under it that has "splash2.jpg" in it.) On the other hand, some useful features/extras were taken out for this version (?), including the options menu - which at least had fullscreen/window option and a volume control - and the level map with artwork, replaced by the standard lock level board, which makes it look like a Wheemplay game.
And you don't get to practice using the keyboard in the tutorial because they apparently used the same animation and audio in Catch that they used in Jungle and just changed the background and added the keyboard graphic in the end. And I can't seem to keep the mouse from interfering when I'm trying to use the keys, I don't know where to put the cursor to keep it from pressing down one of the fret keys while I'm trying to control them from the keyboard. And they didn't even pay attention to the help file in Catch, which starts out insinuating that you can use a touchpad and then reverts to talking about using the mouse. I strongly suspect that touchscreen support in Catch was a feature they were planning to add but didn't get completely around to. And Jungle only has a one help page (!) that just says to catch the notes with the mouse. Almost not worth including. Also, the trophy page in Jungle has an incorrect notation (code symbols rather than english) under at least one of the trophies and I suspect of the other are wrong, too.
And those items inform my bottom line on this game: I'm going to vote thumbs down because of a strong suspicion that at least one of these games was rushed out and that neither were completely finished. Which is a shame, because with a little more effort they could have combined the best features of these two games and come of with something that had a complete set of features, even without touchpad support. I appreciate Fly offering these game for free, but I would recommend that GGOTD is best used for beta testing, not alpha testing. In other words, please try to dot all your i's and cross all you t's before you release a game. Not for me, but because it's really to YOUR advantage.

Nice game. I used a touch screen and works perfectly, you need to drag your finger more than hit the screen. I used the mouse and the game works perfectly as well.
It will be my daughter's favourite for a while for sure. Wonder how the other users experienced problems with their mice.

I agree @mario #18 because I looked and there are indeed settings for volume, screen resolution, windowed mode, and more. I don't see ANY of that in the menu. This game is messed up. Otherwise, I tried playing with mouse and keyboard and both work fine.

I always come to GAOTD and GGAOTD (weekends) just to see/learn on what's new and being offered. Today is not exception. Downloaded this to see what everyone was talking about. I do not seem to be having the problems mentioned. Download/installation (to directory of my choice)and all went very smooth. I use a Wacom pad and my little ole pen and I are really scooting here across the strings. Have yet to incorporate the XCVBN in play - that's next. I love the music. Never have played a game like this, but do like it. Soooooo, it is a keeper. I do not know if this important or not, but when I cut loose and start bouncing, jiving and moving with the music all sorts of neat things start to happen like my scoring starts to climb and I get 3-STARs LOL :o) -- okay so much for scientific research here -- but it's cool. So thank you for a completely different game GGAOTD and Fly Games. Have a good day everyone. Peace.

Well, I love music and I play the piano so initially, this appeared to be something I would like. Usually, the deciding factor for me is the comments made by other people. However, the comments for ggotd have digressed from being helpful to mostly ranting to other commenters about their comments. It has kept me from downloading a program or two from ggotd because it is difficult to decide if the comment is negative toward another commenter, but positive for the program or visa versa so, I think I will have to pass on this program as well.

Nice game, I quite easily got over 90% accuracy on the first 5 levels so far using the mouse (99% on a couple - eek nearly there!) So I have no idea why people are finding it 'unplayable'!

For all those complaining about no keyboard input, if you had bothered to pay attention during level 1 (the tutorial) it tells you the keyboard inputs are XCVBN for the colours and spacebar to click.

The tunes aren't too bad and although I think this game might get a little repetitive after a while (its a pretty basic concept) it is well worth a try.

Installed fine....

The game is definitely geared toward a smart phone.

The good
-nice art work
-looks very professional
-music is spacy but listenable - Kind of world music.

The bad
-using the mouse is frustrating, when you hit the keys with your left mouse, the notes are sometimes not recognized.
-you have to right click on the running man icon to get out of the game
-the keyboard keys have the same problem as the mouse. I would press the keys the icon said the key stroke was recognized, but the note/score seemed to ignore the key board stroke.

Suggest
-A levels of difficulty setting to allow the user to open up the window threshold as to when a key stroke (mouse click) is recolonized.
-All of these games need a import mechanism to allow the user to add his own music, either MIDI (that should be easier to import - the notes duration, timing, pitch are all electronically codes) or ability to add your own music (you put in a 1KHz narrow band pass filter and detect the duration and pitch of the melody present that exceeds a preset level) you couldn't do it on the fly (maybe a pun) but you could create a separate import conversion program.

The game is not bad, It has good spots, but just needs some work. Give it the loving attention it deserves.

-Oh yeah ... above comment - I'm working with a wired mouse... It works well not so much....
-I didn't notice any issues with the screen resolution

I think the problem of some of you guys who are not able to play this game is directly connected to the dpi settings of your mouses. And I think if the developer insert some decent music into it aswell, it might attract many of the DanceDanceRevolution and ParaParaParadise players. Love this game, a thumbs up from me.

was able to use my mouse but didn't play into the game, just the tutorial. I agree that an options menu would be helpful. I can see that it will take a while to feel comfortable within this game. I was disappointed that the exe file doesn't have an icon. I'll remain neutral on this game as I have't really played it yet. I'll keep it for the time being and tackle it when I feel adventurous.

I've been attacked once already here based on my comments on the previous game, but that is ok. I do try out all the games before I write about them. But a majority of you are right about this game. It's a game that has you begging for more. I see nothing different here then another theme compared to Tunes Jungle Adventure. As for the slow mouse on the game, some video cards don't have a fast enough memory clock to process a lot of things at once I found my touchpad on my laptop to be faster then my Wireless mouse. Depending on your system overall you may find a wired mouse to be even more effective to play this game. You can also try finding V-Sync in your video cards control panel and switching it to OFF for all applications and that can speed things up.

Nice game. I tried it and so did my teenage daughter. We both loved it. At first it is a bit challenging as it can take a bit to get used to how to play it, but it is fun. It is different and I find it more original than the usual kind of games found here. It is a thumbs up from me and my daughter. Thanks GGOTD and Fly Games teams for this game give away of the day.

Thanks for the giveaway today but...

Where is the options menu? Are you serious? I think there is something
really wrong with THAT package.

In the /data folder is a stringe.txt that contains strings for e.g.
Screen and Volume settings, but ingame is nothing!

In the /data/images/mainmenu folder are 2 icons for the options, but
ingame is nothing!

I have a widescreen monitor and it annoys me to be forced to play the
game in fullscreen on 640x480, we live in 2012, not in the 90's!

I need a solution, please. Mario

Downloaded and ran fine on Mac OS, (two games in two days for Mac owners wow!!!). As many Mac users have an excellent trackpad anyway navigation isn't a problem. Game is standalone so doesn't add itself to applications. Have to admit, pleased as I was to find a Mac game, it only held my interest for some five minutes and then I looked around the associated files to play the various sound tracks out of program. Overall worth a look, it's colourful and doesn't involved throwing things, but with limited appeal. Thanks to GotD and Fly Games for sharing this with us, and particularly providing a Mac OS version. Smile everyone it's Sunday. :-)

Reminiscent of 'frets on fire', difficult with mouse control but I guess it could spin as challenging. Not a bad game, but it would be better with optional key-binding.Thanks GGOTD&FLY-another good game.BTW-worth downloading just for the ear training and rhythm practice as such skills actually do come in handy

the game play itself is good but the music is not good because it is the same music as used in tunes jungle adventure which has given away here earlier and the quality of the music is also bad and i agree whit Larry using the mouse is good but there should be keys assigned to the buttons in the game that actually work there are buttons assigned to the in game buttons but they don't work i don't know why

I love it - another self-appointed public scold posts a gripe about people thumbing down this game, only to come back fifteen minutes later and admit he agrees with the thumbs-downers.

Here's a thought: other people are entitled to their opinions and to vote as they choose. Their votes don't have to meet your approval. Maybe you should stop trying to police your fellow users and start contributing something worthwhile. Might give less of an impression that YOU'RE a moron.

A couple of things, Larry: 1. voters often vote on whether they like the type of game given away. The negatives usually have no interest in trying it and simply want to persuade GGOTD to give away a different type of game. Or sometimes they vote it down because it's a repeat, or a type of game they feel is given away too frequently. That doesn't necessarily reflect the purpose of the voting system, but it's something the project has learned to live with (since it doesn't have much of a choice, anyway, without implementing a more complex and potentially problematic system in it's own right.) 2. I found the last version of the game playable with a mouse. I was able to get about 80% accuracy, and I'm not particularly coordinated. We'll have to see if people have as much success with this one.

This is like a version of another game given away here in November of last year from Fly called Tunes - Jungle Adventure, this one possibly with a slightly different setting. It's quite possibly the original version, or perhaps the developers thought the name or setting needed to be altered a little. Probably the objective is the same: intercept the notes as they roll down the guitar neck, making a tune with the notes you catch. The more you catch the more, the more points you score. Obviously, a it can also act as a music trainer.
I didn't have time to check out this new download, will do so tomorrow. Nevertheles, I'd say it's 85% or better chance this is the same game, with only slight differences.
The previous giveaway was well received, with about 2/3 of the votes positive.

Well, I have to agree with the negatives. It only took one try to play this without a touch screen, as the game seems to be aimed at. Without a touch pad, you have to use a mouse and it is completely unplayable. It needs to have the option to use a keyboard and have each string assigned a keyboard letter assigned, such as QWERTY or something.

12 minutes in, and we have 10 people voting on it, with only 2 thumbs up. I have to wonder, though, since none of them made any comment, if any of them even tried to download it - much less play it! Come on, people! If you are going to vote on it, at least give it a try before you post your opinion. You give the impression that you are morons who just want to be first to rate it.
