I really liked this game alot... until I discovered I only had a 1 in 10 chance of winning each level because of the jokers knocking it all down. There ought to be a strategy or at least a menu option to stop the jokers. Maybe it's my PC's random number generator or something, but it consistently takes at least 5 tries to clear a level, only because the jokers keep coming. In one game, I got 5 jokers (and two of the exact same card - a jack of diamonds, I think). So sadly, I cannot call this a good game, at least not until it is more fair.

I download GOTD games daily, and really appreciate them. Some are good, some are crap - hey, that's life.

I need to comment on this game, as it appears to be one that 'slipped through the net'. My 7 year old daughter had just started playing the card game, and shouted out to me - "Dad, come and have a look at this card game - it's special, you can get the women to take their clothes off!". I was horrified. I don't blame GOTD, however I do blame the makers of this game. They should either immediately remove this option, or put say an 'M' rating on the game. There was no indication in any of the blurb for the game that my 7 year old daughter would see drawings of a woman without any clothes on.

Needless to say, the offending game has been removed from my computer.

It is actually also partially the responsibility for ANY business such as GOTD to notify people of offensive software. It is just good business practice, and although I appreciate what GOTD does and how they carry out their business in most ways, I did not appreciate the somewhat hidden nudity in a seemingly innocent game.

It is quite different then the other card games I have played before.

As far as people complaining about the nudity in this game, it is you , the parents responsibility to check whether a game is appropriate for your child or not. GOTD just provides the games at random each day :)

The play of the game is interesting and fun. However, there should be the option to set parameters to keep people from becoming frustrated by conditions beyond their control. For example, you should be able to set:

1) no jokers
2) only one joker
3) take back one move
4) discard one card

Things like that, that the player can turn on or off before playing. I personally don't see the point of losing the game (by drawing 2 jokers). Also, you should have a countdown of how many cards are needed to complete the structure, so it is easier to decide whether to collapse part (by putting a higher combination on top of a smaller one). Then people could turn the counter on or off, depending upon whether they want the challenge of computing that themselves. Just my opinion, but why not, if it makes it appeal to more people?

#37, You were supposed to activate it before running setup.exe. I would suggest, you uninstall, then reinstall, run activate.exe FIRST, then run setup.exe.
As for the game, the music is Saturday night restaurant piano music. Very boring to me. I will turn it off. I also need to learn why my cards keep crumbling!LOL It is a fun game to play. Had I not read about the erotic card to begin with, I don't know that I would have noticed it before playing. I do not have children at home, so I don't pay as much attention to that as I probably should. It is a cartoon drawing, but it also is a very distinct drawing and I can understand why some people might not want their children exposed to that as of yet. That said, I think the game is a lot of fun and am looking forward to playing it.
Thank you for the opportunity to try new games GGOTD!!!!

Hey all,

This game is a nice little distraction. It will take you a few minutes to figure out some of the basic strategies, but if you have a little patience it's worth it.

I enjoyed the music.

Thanks!

A word to the Double Games team:

By arrogance or oversight, Double Games bypassed the filters and protocols designed to protect my grandchildren from imagery that does not meet our standards or compliment our family values. Your decision to include such images amidst cartoon figures was a bonehead-variety sales tactic; a simple notification to users should have been included with the download.

Until now, this had been a family oriented site that offered software and games for all ages. I felt comfortable recommending the site to my grandchildren's friends and school. Because of this incident, I must remove the GAotD ticker from my certified child-safe web site.

Before I do, I should let you know that I intended to buy 'Tower Constructor' and 'Fishing Trip' for my grandkids this afternoon. Returning to the GAotD site, credit card in hand, I was sidetracked by user posts about nude images on the card game. After a quick verification and prompt removal of the program, I canceled the purchases.

You have squandered two sales and the potential for additional sales. Under those circumstances, you might want to reconsider your business strategy, or should I say the lack thereof.

*****

To the users that posted comments on the nudity: thank you for the heads up .. and a spiffy Navy salute to y'all.
