Great game! One of the top match 3 available. I enjoy the variety of the different levels and the graphics are excellent and very clear. Also that the levels do get more challenging as you play, keeps the interest of the player, for long periods of time. Playrix do seem to have the edge when it comes to enjoyment and playability of their games.
Thank you Playrix and GGOTD.

Update - There is NO difference between the 2 versions. When I opened the game it was at the level I was at and not a new game.

BTW upon installing there's a message saying at least 78.3 MB of free disk space is needed. I just wanted to mention this since it's a long way from 56.6 MB. That's all.

Hello everyone,

I was hoping to find out the difference between this game and the one offered in October 2011. I guess no one knows so I decided to download anyway and will let members know via the game forum. Thanks GGOTD and Playrix.

Stephen, I hope you will get well very soon. I'll pray for you. God Bless you and your family. Thanks for still taking the time to moderate today. Take care :-)

Have a great week everyone!!!

One of my favourite match 3 games. Got it last time but lost it when I rebuilt my PC. Got it back again now thanks. It's a good polished Match 3 game with an interesting storyline and love the facts it provides along the way. I second the request for a Relaxed mode with no time limit, it gets very frustrating sometimes when you just can't make it through a level or you keep getting interrupted.

A decent game. I do agree about the option to play untimed, I am ADD also, but have no problem with this one. I do enjoy the Cradle of Persia more (still not able to finish) !! This seems the same as the previous on I had .... do not see the difference in the Premium yet. (Level 5)... but a good game to relax the mind with.

Whiterabbit, hope you feel better soon! You do a great job!!

Keeps shutting down. Installed and activated fine. First three (I think) levels played fine then it started crashing and shutting down.

I downloaded this game around 10 a.m. this morning and it is now just after 6 p.m. so I've had plenty of time to play. It has good graphics, and I love how you not only play match 3 but the H.O.G. as well. I have only 1 complaint as far as the game goes. I'm not a big fan of timed games. I think if the game had a "relaxed mode" it would be ideal. Other than that, it is a good game.

Developers of these games, PLEASE INCLUDE THE OPTION OF RELAXED MODE WITHOUT TIMERS!!!!! AN UNTIMED GAME ENABLES ONE TO PLAY THE GAME WITHOUT HAVING THE FRUSTRATION OF LOSING EVERYTIME THERE'S A REAL-LIFE DISTRACTION!!!! This is especially true for those of us who have ADHD. Also, developers please include a colorblind mode, there are many men & boys who are colorblind, I personally have watched a colorblind person struggle to play color matching games.

as I said previously, when 4Elements was given away, there is no need to shout; your message will still be read. It's considered bad manners to shout on a forum/comments section. (Capitation of your words is considered shouting, just in case you didn't bother to read my reply to your comment when you posted a comment to 4Elements. :) )

I had downloaded it on my wifes computer on last offering. She doesn't play much games at all except collapse periodically which was purchased years ago. My wife is addicted to this game she falls asleep playing it & I wake her up and she says she wasn't sleeping, this is at like 1-3 in the AM when she has to wake to go to work at 5:45 AM. She will tell you it's a great game download or purchase it!

Those who don't like the time limit can edit one of the files to give more time. However, use care because it may crash the program.

In the game's folder look for the folder called "base". In there there's a file called "level.xml". Make a copy of this before editing. You can edit with notepad or some other text editor.

For each level there's a line something like:
<Level name="level_1.1" time="600" chips="...
Change the time="" to something like time="2600" then save and close the file.

Now when you run the game you'll have much more time to finish each level.

I have this game already and am currently playing it. I am on Babylon Level 1. I downloaded it from another source. I continue to return to it and finish it over and over again. I think the score 8.3 out of 10 is reasonable. I also want to see a relaxed mode, the timer runs out too fast making one have to redo a level. The graphics are a pull on my system but then I have a dinosaur of a computer (bought mine in 2006). I love the change in weather in the game and always feel like I am being chased by a storm, LOL. All in all though, it's an excellent game and well worth the price asked as well as the time to download and play. Thanks GGOTD.

I liked yesterday's game a bit for the difference and the sound when time was up you could hear the ship approaching!

This one is a great one! I have it on my old laptop and am thrilled to get the same on this one! Its great when my concentration is shot from pain or being tired too. Thank you Playrix. I would add more mini games also to make this one even better. A stronger storyline would be great with cut scenes too! It immerses the player! Great graphics and I love the custom cursor!

White Rabbit I hope you and your family is all better very soon!

Running this on a 32-bit version of Windows XP Pro.

Found Bug: Name for account is listed as being limited to 10 characters. I could not enter in more than 9 characters. I tried with both letters and numbers.

The Bad: I didn't read the scoll for the first few levels, and after beating them and watching it roll on to the next historical fact again and again, I wanted to go back and catch up; I couldn't. It would improve the significance of them supplying these facts if they were all able to be read some where as you unlocked them.

The Good: Graphics and sound are outstanding for both the videos and the game itself. The gameplay is very smooth. And other than the simple bug listed above, the game played very stable. I found the gameplay to also be well thought out.

Bonus features that add to the goodness: Pauses during videos if alt tabbed.

I'd rate this game as a very high 8/10 for this genre (8.9). I'd give it a 10/10 if the issues above were fixed.

Ok W7 x64 Ultimate. Thought I'd gotten this on last offer but for some reason it feels fresh. GOTD d/l froze at 25% after sluggish start. Cancel and fast d/l second try. Colorful game, even music is mellow, well done. Not a Match 3 fan but this one is keeper given nice mix. Timer not yet an issue but higher on they do get harder.
Yes comments say it all. 9/10 for its type. Thanks guys. More chicken noodle soup with raw carrots all around. Sunshine helps.

Since this was given away last October I've played it many, many times (I'm up to 23 million points and 540 lives - how sad is that!). I love this game as it's sensibly uncomplicated to play, but seriously challenging as the levels progress (I've not yet managed some of the later levels in the time allowed without extending time). I like the way the Match-3 is done (I'm not normally a fan of Match-3) - it's a very easy display to follow and doesn't hurt my eyes like some of them. The power-ups are again uncomplicated but very useful, and the little HOG elements give a welcome break. I even like the music! Thank you GAOTD and Playrix for such an excellent game.

Stephen - all the best, and I hope you're over your illness soon.

Super version of the game. One thing to note however, if you have the previous version of this game giveaway installed it will replace it (unless you change the default installation path). @WhiteRabbit
If you want to avoid the checkboxes MyPlayCity uses just start the game.exe in the folder instead of the regular file. The browser will still open and direct you to the website after the game but that is ok.

Hope you will be better soon.

I wonder if I may be an "odd ball" but my mouse will not work with this game. I have had this problem with one or two games in the past but generally they work well.

.........................Moderator comment..................

Try updating your drivers. If you still use an old PS2 mouse (the ones with a round like plug on the end with several pins inside the end and usually colored green/aquamarine) you may need to ensure you have the latest PS2 drivers. Use one of those programs that tells you what drivers are out of date then manually update them. :) That will hopefully fix the problem.

First: Get well soon Whiterabbit!

I did not load this the last time it was given away, but thought I'd give it a go this time.

I love the graphics. The hidden objects sections are good, but the match 3, I don't like having a timer on if you can't do any moving while the tiles are falling, or after you use a power item. The timer still runs down, yet you don't have the ability to click on anything.(Which may have been the reason I didn't download it last time it was given away! lol)

I don't like timed games, but I'll still play with this one until it beats me out of my lives! ;)

It's a great game otherwise. Thanks GOTD and Playrix!

I love ths game very much! Puzzle, Puzzle and Puzzle!! :)

But why does it call `rise of atlantis Premium`????
It realy the same as the normal `rise of atlantis`!!!
The only change is the Playrix logo in the right corner...

............................Moderator comment.......................

The Premium versions do have extra content added, but you'd need to play through to find out what and where the extra content is available. I have both versions, but only one installed so I can't compare the installed sizes. (Not well enough to go find my other version now). If the giveaway says it's the Premium version that you can be assured that's what you've been given.

I didn't want to download the game, as I was so sure it is Match-3 only. But then, I read Hidden Object and Adventure as well... So I will give it a try ;-) (later today, or in the coming days) Thanks so much, GGAOTD and Playrix !! :)

I somehow lost this game from the previous download in October of last year, so I was very happy to see it again. It downloaded and installed with ease on my Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit netbook, and a "Call of Atlantis" icon was automatically placed on my desktop. Yeah! I first went into the "Option" menu and tried the game cursor, but it seemed somewhat wobbly, so I changed back the to regular cursor. I usually skip through the intro to a game, but this one is so gorgeous! The graphics are not only detailed and beautifully drawn, but also nicely animated. The storyline is interesting and not too drawn out. The background music is pretty and non-intrusive. The only very minor complaint I have with the intro is that I wish it had been narrated by an older man or woman with an English accent. It's just a personal preference of mine, but I think the the accent makes anything, even the telephone book, sound more classy. But I'm just being too picky. The game is a combination of match three tiles and hidden objects, and least so far. I've only been through 4 levels, and they have been relatively easy. With the match games, a blank object is shown , and the pieces of the object are mixed with the tiles on the board. The point is to bring the pieces to the bottom, and then the picture of the object becomes apparent. Once the object has been filled with the pieces, the level ends with your score. Also, with each new level, you get the chance to get an extra device that can help you destroy tiles quicker and in mass, like a bomb. I did hit one hidden object screen. All 4 objects were blasted into pieces, but the pieces were relatively easy to find. Hints are available. In conclusion, I really love this game. It's beautiful to look at and to play, and so far it's been very relaxing and enjoyable experience. As far as scoring, graphically it is a 9, music an 8, and playability an 8. So that would be an 8.5. Thank you so much Playrix and GOOTD, and Whiterabbit please get well soon.
