This is the first time I have tried to click on the thumbs, sunce finding out yesterday that that is how you calculated our responses. Silly me, I thought you read each comment and gave it an up or down based upon the gist of what we wrote. Now, after visiting the forums yesterday, I know that we are supposed to click on the thumb-of-choice to register our feelings - so I tried. I really tried! For the first time, I have found the game to be incomprehensibly stupid, the controls impossible to maneuver, the graphics insulting to even a five-year-old and the music gratingly annoying - but back to that in a minute - So I centered my arrow over the down-thumb and mouse-clicked it ... and nothing happened - so I tried again, and again, and again (yes, it was so bad, I felt even if all my votes counted, it was the truth). But none of my votes apparently counted. So, to see if the system was working, I centered my mouse over the up-thumb and clicked ... WHAMMO! Up six points and surprisingly, up two on the thumb-for-down! I guess that told me! So if you think your counter is anywhere near accurate - think again ... I am going back to see if I can right the wrong, but wanted to say just a word about the game... Although the screen is like a nightmare clone of Snowy, the chicken (is that what it is?) can fly straight through levels, whether there is an opening or not, and then it chases bananas, fades out and shimmers, if something bad happens to it and seems to cry at the slightest provocation. Then when you are totally frustrated because your control seem to control practically nothing, a big threat floats down, urging you to "Hurry Up!" and then slam, before you can do a thing about it - you are told you are a complete loser, responsible for multiple deaths. If I had a kid - it would never get near this game! Now, I'm new to gaming, yours being the only ones on this computer, but with the likes of Snowy, Bubble Xmas, and the remarkable Butterfly Escape, I can't imagine why anyone would take this monstrosity, even for free! So, when you go to tally your thumbs for the day - please add a down for me. But for the GOTD and GGAOTD teams - a huge two thumbs up!! The controls are much better than Bubble Bobble Nostalgia, and even allows a gamepad for 1-player. When I tried to play 2-player (with player2 setup to use keyboard), the gamepad controlled both characters and the keyboard did nothing. The only other drawback is that you don't get enough lives - and thus this is a fairly difficult game. I have never had a problem like that with any of the other games here, and I'm sure I've downloaded about 20-30 of them. That's OK, not all of them can be winners. I need to get a life anyway after playing all these games, haha. I'll be back tomorrow though! I have been downloading these for the kids and when I did this one they looked at it and at first looked cool because of the first couple screens but once the game started they lost interest very very fast and wanted to play some of the other games...
