People are spoiled and are dazzled too much on eye candy. The game can't compete in today's game market (so they really shouldn't charge money for it). But it's suppose to be a remake of the old 80's arcade game, so I'm not going to grade down for their attempt to recreate the game with the same graphics as the arcade game. But I give the game a "Thumbs Down" because it's a very poor port of the original gameplay. This remake is too simplistic and has only half of the features of the original. The original arcade game had different types of monsters (where's the little whale?!). It had special bubbles with letters which you collect for bonuses. It had many more powerups and secret rooms. As a matter of fact, I think I may have seen other remakes of the game the made better ports. This is only meant as a review of the game and nothing against game.giveawayoftheday.com for their attempt to bring us free games. Keep them coming!

I usualy do not complain, but this game is by far the worst bubble bobble clone I have seen. Even my 7 year old daughter made negative remarks. I however on the other hand have to say: it's free, so realy nothing to complain about, except the quality of the game. Definitely not something I would spend $19.95 on. As for the maintainers of this site: keep up the good work. You guys are doing a great job.

Thanks for all the games. My kids are loving them. It's like Christmas every day for them! Every day they say mom, what's the game today? Thanks for the tool to help them behave...if they don't behave, I won't download & activate the game..lol.

Some people will complain about anything, it's a FREE game people, and if you don't like it there's a new one tomorrow. I personally like the nostalgia. Have I seen better, yes. Have I seen better for FREE, NO! Thank you for this site, it is great and I will tell everybody I know about it.

I really love the arcade version of Bubble Bobble and I have seen 1 or 2 good PC ports of that game. This is not one of them. The graphics look like they were drawn by a child with special needs and when your character jumps it is in slow motion as if underwater. I played it for about 5 minutes and promptly uninstalled it.

I agree with 12, 13 & 15 A nice little game that can be played with the young ones. As far as I'm concerned any arcade game is a bonus as even the easiest or the lowliest has some entertainment value. I suspect that this game although ideal for the young un's will be a nostalgic look back to those pre PC and console days, when the ZX and commodore 64 reigned supreim, although I had an Einstein 80 which was the first with a (hard) floppy disc on the market. I think the younger consumers who were perhaps not even born when these machines were around wouldn't appreciate the memory. I'm still gob smaked by what we have on offer these days, and can't understand what all the complaining is about, although i do appreciate that negative comments can be good feedback to developers. I feel in this case it's misplaced. The comment by Shannon (comment number14 from the giveawayoftheday comments)is rather amusing and rings true. "that is that even if the team were givinng money away to play these games there would still be negative comments. I'd like to say, what you have created here is a fantastic piece of consumerism in which (as I've already said on previous occassions) everyone wins. Who would have thought that we would be getting really free software that would under normal circumstances be costing us well earned cash. (despite the freeware that is available) Choice is the spice of life. Thankyou again so much for this initiative. I do hope that it continues on into the dim and distant future. A very satisfied and happy consumer.
