I ran setup, but it didn't ask me for the key. Maybe that's why it only did some (?) of the tutorial and locked up. :( Does anyone know what I can do? Can I run setup again?

I played Empire, but didn't know of Empire Deluxe. I played Empire within the last three years. It runs off a floppy, and at least under W98.

#21 Michelle:

Errors while trying to unzip usually means the file got corrupted while downloading. (Nothing awful ... minor glitches, temporary service interruptions, or busy servers can cause files to be corrupted.)

Delete the file and download again, try downloading from the mirror link.

#15 (aktano) - You can't. Not in the tutorial, anyway. The only way to take over a building is to have troops, which you aren't given on that map.

It's really unfortunate that I had to bump down the resolution to be able to read the text... but anyway.
I've noticed three issues with the game so far:
- THEY ARE PARENTHESES (), NOT BRACKETS [].
- Did you change the resolution? Whoops! Hope you saved...
- The game crashes if you attempt to scroll and empty list in a factory (Completely reproducible. Try it on the tutorial map.).
- The only way to actually "swap out" of the game is to select the Minimize option in their start menu. Windows key? Forget it. Ctrl+esc? Forget it. Alt+tab? Forget it. Can't see any other windows while the game's active unless you use that option.
- Enemy units are ALWAYS shrouded after they've moved, even if you saw them move, and even if they're in your sight!
- What do you mean, I can't run over infantry?
- Completely unrealistic. Imagine this battle: three infantry, three tanks.
... In this game, one infantryman dies, one tank is destroyed.
... what?

While it does seem like an OK game, it's just not good enough for me to keep. Keep trying, Sytexis.

The game only takes up half my screen. Is that normal, or do I have to set a screen size somewhere?

#8 Betsy Tollet sez: "Why are so many of your games based upon the theme of violence?"

Actually Betsy game.giveawayoftheday.com offers a good mix of games to appeal to a wide range of visitors and although some of the games offered have been violence-based, most have not. As with anything it's always a good idea for parents to review games before allowing children to play. But that responsibility rightly belongs to each child's parents, not to a software site.

Here's a list of recent offerings that do NOT deal with violent themes:

Swap n' Fall
Beeline
Cubozoid
Dinos & Bubbles
Super Cubes
XMas Blox
Jeanne D'Pac
Tiny Cars
Brave Dwarves
Cartoon Xonix
Sky Bubbles
Mahjongg Artifacts
Aqua Digger
