I'm sad to say that even if this game is cool, the graphics are way worse than the original game.

I would still prefer playing the original Bubble Bobble 2 on PC!

I aggree with #15 and #21. Game Over is in seirous trouble of getting sued up their eyeballs and and get a court order saying they can never make video game ever again. If you reading this Game Over. Change that game's name so you won't get sued by Taito!

For those who do not have these games they are pretty cool. I however thought that they were giving new developers a chance to show there stuff. Also, I still am concerned about the adult link that pops up alot on the front page. Why is this on your sight?

Thank you Lee comment #23, I downloaded the 'bub and bros' freeware via the link you provided. If anyone loses or missed out on today’s game I can honestly say it's a worthy alternative, with the added bonus of being able to play online. Although the game offered today does allow two players, but not on an internet or LAN connection. :(

I played it online with my son for a short while and really had a great time. We've not really got into online gaming together yet, so this game is a great introduction. He now wants me to play ‘Serious Sam’ and ‘Battlefield 2’ via our LAN. However I think I need to wait a couple more years before I allow him to play BF2.

I didn't play this game at all the first time around apart from the initial testing to see if it worked okay. I have since found it quite entertaining for short periods of time which would indicate that it is a good time filler in between other things. Unfortunately for you folks who like to take some time out in between work, there’s no windowed mode supported; whereas the freeware version kindly mentioned by Lee starts in windowed mode).

I was busy this morning so wasn’t able to write a review that did justice to this game. The following is an addendum to my first comment #18

You can download several level packs that give you an extra 600+ levels from the following links:
1) The Senator's levels pack. 100 levels
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/senator0.zip

2) The Smajic's levels pack. 30 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/smajicles.zip

3) The Kerry's and Onge's levels pack. 40 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/Eat me.zip

4) The Stephanie Smith's levels pack. 40 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/Steffi’s.zip

5) The Maria's and Bruno's levels pack. 100 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/Bruno.zip
•
6) The Smajic's levels pack II. 100 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/smajic.zip

7) The Arnab Banerjee's levels pack. 100 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/secret.zip

8) The Arnab Banerjee levels pack II. 50 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/secret2.zip

9) The Maria's and Bruno's levels pack II. 33 levels.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/Azbuka.zip

10) The Smajic's levels pack III.
http://www.gameover-games.com/bubblelevels/Smaj.zip

Once downloaded unzip the packs and place them in the games folder; which, if you allowed the game to be installed to its default position, you’ll find by following the following path:
C:\program files\Bubble Bobble Nostalgie\
Once installed, start the game and select the levels pack option as opposed to Episode 1 or 2. This will take you to a selection screen which will list all the level packs you’ve installed. This is an ongoing project, so if you are really enamoured of the game you should return to the download page (link below) at regular intervals to see if any more levels packs have been added. However with a total of over 800 levels I’m sure this will keep you occupied for many months to come.

If you don’t want to be bothered downloading all 10 level packs from the links above you can alternatively save the following address to your bookmarks/favourites and download them at your leisure.

http://www.gameover-games.com/games/bubble/

You’ll find several cheat codes, (for those who get frustrated easily, or just like to cheat) on the above page as well. I’ve posted them here for reference only. Use them at your own risk. (Of spoiling the fun that is)

Cheat Codes:
Type in the words in lower case, (no Capitals) while playing the game for each of the cheats to work.

faster - boots to run faster
farbubbles - your bubbles fly farther
powerspit - your bubbles fly faster
blowmachine - you blow bubbles faster
equipment - three previous cheats together
countdown - all enemies turn into crystals
champions - all 3 rings.
zeus - add lighting to your bubbles
travel - pass 3 levels
hidden - invisibility
dangerous - fire breath

Thank you again GameOver Games, it is much appreciated that you didn’t follow in the footsteps of the developers of the Brave Dwarves series and put a charge on each of the level packs. This make the game a little more worth the download despite the exorbitant price of $19.95

Looking at the screenshots, I see they have even ripped levels directly from the original Bubble Bobble (which, for those who don't know, was created and owned by the Japanese company Taito)! I'm surprised they haven't been sued yet.

I don't mind clones, but this is a bit too much, IMO. If it was a free tribute game, then okay, but it is a commercial product which tries to pass itself off as an official Bubble Bobble-game. Kind of like those fake Rolex-watches you buy off the street.
