My kids have played it and love it, but they play games like this often (they're 5 and 3 and they can play the simpler levels; they're used to complex games though and my 5yo is better at games than me, lol!). Myself, I'm stuck at level 32 but I'm still having fun trying to beat it :). DH has become an addict, lol!

This game is NOT a game for Children (downloaded if for my GD's). Reason being that some levels you have to match 3 or more times to get rid of the blue square. It gets old real fast when you have to restart the level. I don't know about other Children but..... my GD's would get ticked off & bored having to restart levels (both have tempers & ADHD) and would lose interest in the game & move on..

Dh and I really enjoyed this game. It got more challenging as you played it and I thought it was interesting to play. My kids haven't tried yet but I think they would enjoy it as well.

Your "nitpickery" post was hilarious, but you really should put your name on the line below the closing...

You're right, it doesn't say "reviews" at the top - it says "comments". As in, people's opinions. Notice that I'm not trying to get everyone else to stop saying that they liked it.

Well, since you brought it up Lockett and Phil, I just thought I'd clear the air a bit...

Of course, there were the errors with the scoring (5 out of 5), error message x2 that you mentioned, and "succeeded", but don't forget the Still on the second line should have two spaces before the word, there should be a space after the word developers (3rd line), needs a comma after the following closing parenthesis, a bistro is actually defined as "1: a small or unpretentious restaurant; 2 a: a small bar or tavern b: nightclub", space before "This" should have 2 spaces, comma should be inside bistro quotation, "fries" should be capitalized here, there should be a space before the parenthesis on how, to save time, every period should have two spaces behind it, some don't even have one. To be grammatically correct, the following sentence should not begin with the word "That", as it is only referencing an item in a previous sentence, the following "that" should be omitted as well.

Considering this is only from the first paragraph, I don't feel like nitpicking and correcting all of the errors, as there were four more paragraphs. See the pointlessness of everything like this Phil? The message is clear, and perfection is not a necessity. We understand Lockett did not like the game, and that is fine. We don't need to waste everyone's time and nitpick and complain about everything.

Other than that, the game seems to have locked up on me the first time I tried it, however, the second time it worked fine. I did notice, some people earlier complained about the hints, which can be very easily turned off in the options menu. Thanks GGAOTD and Alawar Entertainment for the offering.

Thanks, Mapsking

Peeps having trouble above- the reason it's not working after you get it's setup run, is probably what I had when 1st tried it- I had another game running at same time. I bet you had a program running that was using some of same resources it needed. I ran setup again and it works fine.
Above, of course I meant " a lot" not I lot. lol Giggle. :) Drrrrrr :)

THANK YOU Alawar & GOTD team!!! Even little kids can play this 1 on endless mode, til they drop over! I myself played it in endless mode t& it was nice not to have rush or kill anything. lol My grand will love it!

LOVE FREE GAMES! I'm 1 who couldn't otherwise afford to buy most games, being partially handicapped.
BOO complainers! Go away! Ya know, if you could manage to write a negative report on agame in a decent way, without insults & snotty attitude, maybe we'd not dislike it so much. Try doing it like a true reporter!
And btw, these games are NOT here so that we'll "REVIEW" them! Can you read? Do you see above any place that says please post your review??? We are so tired of it. Complainers are NOT reviewers, they are just complainers. I'd say they must be terribly spoiled, in which case they sure don't need or deserve anything free! And we don't deserve to have to read the whining! Then we feel like venting & whining about the whiners!

There's only 2 we need reviews from- whiterabbit & bladed_thoth! The rest of those who say they downloaded it to review it are on a huge ego trip!

These games are only here to be given free, to enjoy! They are trying to be nice, NOT to get reviews from amateurs! You are only fooling yourself. Anyone but the afore-mentioned, go apply for a reviewer job or as a beta tester, & leave these great games alone!
IF ya can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all!

Thanks again Alawar & GOTD team! Most of us appreciate you all I LOT! :)

This is a very cute match 3 game, but is more appealing to children. For a really great match 3 geared for older kids and adults, The Treasures Of Montezuma (also by Alawar) is AWESOME. I never thought I'd find these kind of game interesting, but I've wasted more time playing that one!

~~Stephen (or others with this problem - if any)

Well here is what I've done with no success. I first checked my C:\Program Files\Alawar folder to make sure that everything that I still had in there still functioned normally, and it does. I then installed "Bistro" to a few different directories such as my flash drive, my 2GB SD card, and my 500GB external hard drive and I still get the same results. The only thing that I do the same is allow the shortcut to run off of my desktop. In one instance I didn't use the shortcuts in the start menu or on the desktop, instead I clicked on the application file that was installed to my 2GB SD card and I still got the same results. I also disabled all security software that was running and got nothing. WEIRD. If anything I got a superfast way to shut down my computer. I'll just rename the shortcut icon "super shutdown" and use it from now on - LOL JK!!! I highly doubt that would be to beneficial to my machine. Anyway thank you for your help. It's good to have very knowledgeable people around who aren't such smarta**es!! No offense to anyone!! Thanks again to Alawar and GAOTD for offering this and all titles. I just couldn't use this one today. I'll be back tomorrow.

Oh and in case you (Whiterabbit) are wondering, I only use my 500GB external hard drive for super storage only as I am not only self-employed and store business records and blueprints on it, but I am a photographer also and I store my thousands of photos on it. I am seriously considering using it for back up though as I don't feel like playing with fire anymore. LOL. I did find a 1.5 TB (terabyte) external hard drive that I'm interested in.

For those of you who are not familiar with a "Terabyte" Google it.

Sorry for the "ranting" but this giveaway is almost over anyway.

Goodnight all!!!

I agree about the whining -- it needs to stop. Free games are great.

I appreciate that WR posts a comprehensive review every day. I've been trying to post a mini-review of my own since I discovered this site a couple of weeks ago to help supplement what he posts. For me, the reviews offer a good indication of whether I should give a game I don't like a chance, or if I should go with my gut instinct. I don't mind the griping as long as it's reasonable. Often, it's from people who refuse to download the game and try it, though.

And to Lockett, who claims to hate the game, but who has made half a dozen posts on this thread -- seriously, dude, get a life. If you didn't like it, fine. Say that once and move on. You don't need to keep trolling the thread.
