Called Dream Farm, it's a casual farming sim in which you can play with other human players. Your tasks include growing products, selling them at the market and competing against other players for customers. You will be able to communicate with other players via in-game chat. The most surprising thing about the game world is how it's constantly changing.
An untamed land of plenty lies before you, but the path to glory lies within you in The Promised Land, a casual strategy game for the adventurous at heart! Can you tame the New World before it tames you?
Travel from the deepest trenches of the Atlantic Ocean to the awe-inspiring wonders of Mars as you solve the greatest archeological puzzle known to man: the origin of Atlantis.
Manage five farms around the world and try your hand at penguin breeding and jewelry making in Farm Frenzy 3! Features 95 outrageously fun levels, 30 wacky animals and more upgrades than there are ears in a field of corn!
Help two orphans escape an evil spell in Whispered Stories: Sandman, an adventurous tale set in a fantastical world! Only your wits and keen vision can help you on this journey!
This game would be wonderful, if it were not broken. I enjoyed several levels of it, until the number of times I had to replay a level because of problems such as 3 of a building really meant 5 of it and similar errors made the repetition of levels too much. I will watch for updates/fixes of this game. I'd really love to see an actually functional version. This game is wonderful in concept. It simply needed more attention paid to the beta testing.

This comment is late, but it took me a while to realize that I was right in my original assessment. There is nothing to do but slap turkeys and grab apples until you get to the next level where you slap turkeys and grab meat and fish. I'd rather clean horse stalls.

Not a bad game mostly. After level 13 you have to consistently build one more poultry house than it asks for ie if it says 4 build 5 if it says 6 it means 7 as one will always produce food need water and workers but be "invisible" to the win count. Other than that annoyance it seems to work reasonably well.

I can't get past the first level

I did give up in the third or fourth level when I had reached all the required goals (including having all buildings occupied), but it still said I needed to occupy all buildings. So I kept collecting food and wood and it just seemed like it just kept going. “All my buildings are occupied! Argh!” I didn’t know what else to do.
I figured out that you need to upgrade the buildings before it accepts them as being fully occupied :-(
Sometimes you need to demolish a building or farm before you can build what is wanted. You can demolish a farm as you can always get food from the turkeys.

The game downloaded and opened well. I tried a couple of levels but found it a bit confusing. Although there is a help screen it does not really help at all. I could not work out how to build the first wigwam even though I clicked all the recommended buttons.
However I do like TM games and will persist with this one to see if I can work it out. I would like to see a little tutorial on these type of games at least for the first time. Anyway it sounds like it might become a great game, so thanks to all for offering it on this site.

The reason you have more work is because there are certain tasks to complete to get bronze, silver or gold medals. If you mouse over each medal at the beginning of the level it will show the tasks you must complete to get the medal but you have to complete the tasks in the medals below it as well. It took me a while to figure this out. I hope this helps you. I do agree that catching invades is tedious. I have not played too far and I hope you will be able to hire someone to protect against invaders or at least make it less clicks

I usually love games by Alawar, but this one I will uninstall. IMHO there was not enough information or instructions about how to play the game and the meaning of the graphic symbols. You are shown your goals, the resource toolbar and the Help button. But when you press the start button, a number of different symbols appear and there is not enough information about how to interpret the graphic symbols or how to move from one sector of the game to another. For example, how do I add a man so that I can repair the building in the center? But over all I love the Alawar game line.

This game has downloaded quickly and runs well on my win7 laptop. I've played a couple of levels with no problems, and am enjoying the game - thanks GOTD

Ok Windows 8.1.1 x64 Pro. Nice look to it, usual options. Like WR I'm not a fan of those mentioned TMs. This one is better format than flipping burgers or something. Thanks GOTD.

The trader shop does not work. One can't accept any trades. Only the cancel button works inside the trader shop. This brings the game to a standstill, since wood is needed to build the corn field and there is no option to build a sawmill.

Installed but it locks up when it goes to open. Just sits there with 2 little men holding a spinning hour glass. Tried running in compatibility mode and it did not help.

Installed and ran fine on Win x64. However, considering this game is from Alawar, it's a major disappointment. The tutorial is almost non-existent and play is very slow. I've come to expect something snappier--and much prettier--from this company.

Okie dokie...
Downloaded, installed and ran fine on my system, Win7 Home Premium service pack...whateveritis.
Looking at the shots, it looked fun and seemed familiar.
After installing, I realized I had it before at some point
While I normally adore this kind of game, I hate this one.
First, the load up graphics are dopey and just meh.
The music is annoying as heck.
I skip the story whatever on all I play as I'm generally not interested, so I won't comment about that.
Getting to the first level, I realized that this was one I just hated.
While there is minimal instruction for what you want to do, a full tutorial isn't there so you're left with the whole what the heck am I doing and how do I go about it? The graphics in the game play are better than the load up, thankfully.
I'll be honest that I didn't get beyond the first level on it and shut it.
There's a lot of improvement needed for this game to bring it up to something enjoyable. The graphics and music alone need work. I'm one that adores this kind of game and generally don't need instruction for what I'm doing and can figure it out. This one I did and it wasn't there. That left me making this face; -_- The fact that I shut it after the first level means that it needs work.
Normally, it takes a real turkey for me to give a thumbs down, but this one managed it.
Thanks for another game!

Downloaded/installed fine on Vista 64-bit, and I didn't have a problem with it crashing at any point.
I did give up in the third or fourth level when I had reached all the required goals (including having all buildings occupied), but it still said I needed to occupy all buildings. So I kept collecting food and wood and it just seemed like it just kept going. “All my buildings are occupied! Argh!” I didn't know what else to do.
The graphics are okay, but I hate the style – personal preference only. It's clean and detailed and the animation is nice without being overwhelming. The music and SFX are good. I enjoyed smackin' turkeys.
I felt like I had to click on a lot of things to see what they were/did and what I needed to use them, or to see how many workers were in a building. I'd rather that kind of information be available without having to click something, I already have enough to click on as it is, chasing turkeys all over the place.
The icons that represented various actions weren't clear to me. They were hard to see or didn't reflect their purpose well enough. The goal icons to the left were covered with a big check-mark and the inventory icons at the top weren't in a good order I don't think. I also didn't like how everything I needed was spread out all over the screen, it was a poor layout in my opinion.
I know I gave up too early, but I just woke up. It's good enough that I'll keep it awhile and figure out that trouble level.
I'll give it an arbitrary 3.5 out of 5 stars. :)

This is the first game from this company that I do not like. Unlike Weather Lord, the controls are lousy (don't understand how you are supposed to hit a prey item to kill it, other than click 3 times on/near it), the layout of the screen is difficult to read resources, and overall, the game seems like a first year programming student's B- term project. A VERY disappointing product from Alawar.

I was enthusiastic when I saw today’s game because it was different from the many match 3 games that have been offered. It installed and ran on Windows 8.1 without difficulty. However, there was virtually no tutorial and the help file didn’t help much at all. Since I’m not experienced with this game style, I found it very difficult to know what to do. The only thing I was able to accomplish was clicking on the turkeys and apples to build up the resources. To add a garden or a building, I did what the help menu said, but nothing happened. Maybe it isn’t working as it should, because when I exited from the game and signed back in later, it wouldn’t let me continue the same game. I had to start a new one – with the same results. I’m quite discouraged from continuing with it.

Erica, usually when I run into that type of message ("CRC failed"), it's because of a bad download.
Try deleting the file you downloaded before and downloading it again.

Works fine on my Win 8.1, downloaded and installed without a problem. A bit a lot of clicking but nice graphics - played through level 3 and will continue some time later.

@Erica: I think the DL is incomplete because many AV-tools pause the DL and start to examine the file. But when the DL is paused the server "on the other side" closes the connection. So you are missing most 1-2 MB and the file is corrupt. Download the file again after closing your AV-SW. Then extract it (I always take the "rightclick-windows-function" and had never a problem) and I hope you get an usefull file. Install it and don´t forget to turn on your AV-SW after all.
@Nidda: Yes, the only (a little) help is to read the instructions by clicking the ?-button right on the top.
Sorry, if my english is not so good!

Had the game already in an adware.sponsored version. It's a nice TM game, one of the games that got me inte4rested in the genre.
Is the third screenshot near the download link (the purple on) from the game, though? I remember neither a purple level, nor cakes.

Loaded okay in Windows 7 64bit. After playing 2 levels I find the gamed to be a bit tedious (slow). It would help if a speed up button was included.

Another virus warning from AVG - which I told it to ignore. I'm confident that the download is safe, but warnings like this might put some people off downloading or playing the game.
The game looks fun, I'm sure I'll enjoy it as much at the earlier version, but it could do with some fairly basic instructions at the beginning.
One tip - don't destroy the hut until you have enough resources to build a better one, the worker just strolls off the screen, for ever!

Aztec Tribe: New Land runs very well on my Win 7 32-bit system. Game play is quite weird. I've so far had to spend a lot of time using the mouse pointer, which turns into a sort of fly swatter, to swat little animated turkeys in order to accumulate enough resources to allow me to build a wigwam. Maybe I should have another look at the instructions. The game is bright and colorful and the music and sound effects can be adjusted. Aztec Tribe: New Land is great for casual game play. I'm going to install this for a younger family member and ask her to explain to me why I have to keep swatting those turkeys.

Install and run without problems on my W 7/64 - the good message...
The bad: I love Alawar-games but this I had thrown away in the middle of the second level.
Because you must permanent catch the invaders - that´s tedious and when you think the level is complete the goal gives you more work... At beginning you need 10 woods then 20 and after building the wigwam (I thought now is the level over - oh, no!) you should collect once more a lot of them? No, no, no - I passed and deleted the game. That´s boring...

In Brief:
Aztec Tribe: New Land is the second game in the Aztec Tribe series. We received the first game back in 2013. It's a basic Time Management (TM) game that focuses mainly on resource management. These are one of the few TM games that I actually enjoy playing as the time constraints aren't as 'rushed' as games like Delivery King, Dance Craze, Amelia's Cafe or Snowy: Lunch rush (all of which are available free from MPC. Personally I prefer games like Farm Frenzy series Sunshine Acres or Virtual Villages ) :)
Installation:
Aztec Tribe downloads to a 73.5 MB zip file that unpacks to a read me and a wrapped setup activation file (the orange colored file with the key symbol), plus there's a setup file with security (setup.gcd) that's protected from being hacked. This file may case some security software to alert the user to a possible malware attack, but it will be a false positive.
The game giveaway team check all game giveaways for malware using several well known anti -malware suites. There has never been a game giveaway infected with malware since the project started back in Dec 2006. The installed game is 69.6 MB in size.
C:\Games\AztecTribeNewLand_Game
No desktop shortcut or start menu/programs shortcut are installed, so make sure you make a note of where the game is being installed to so that you can create one for yourself. Once installed you can delete the giveaway setup files. Once the game has been installed and activated a small window appears, do be careful not to click on the Install software informer at this point, just click on the exit button.

The Game:
System Requirements:
• OS: Windows XP/ Vista/ 8
• CPU: 1.0 GHz
• System RAM: 256 MB
• DirectX: 8.0 or higher
• Hard Drive: 72 MB
Problems:
If you have any problems installing or getting to work today's game please go HERE for help. I've posted all of the common problems and solutions in a FAQ thread, which you can find in the sticky section of the forums by following the above link.
If you are posting late in the day I would also suggest posting in the main giveaway forums, in the game discussion section because I cannot moderate 24hrs a day over the weekend. I've created a thread HERE for that purpose. If you've installed the game but it won’t work for some reason, it should still be registered, so someone may be able to help at another time. Unfortunately if your problem is actually installing it then once the giveaway period is over there’s nothing that can be done until the game is given away again (though that isn't guaranteed). Sometimes you can still register the game after the giveaway has ended so long as you managed to start the download before the giveaway ends. I've tested this and sometimes the grace period lasts for up to 2 hours, but more often than not 1 hour is the norm.
Games, Games, and yet more Games plus Download, Installation & Game play Problems:

Free Game Sites:
Jenkat Games

To be honest there are too many game deals around too list them all. Just visit the sites I recommend above and I'm sure you'll find something that suits you for a very decent price. If like me you prefer Steamworks games, many of the above sites also sell steamwork games.
If that's not enough, check out the Game Discussion forums HERE for details of other games either free or on deals such as the Indie Game bundles (there's over 20 of them - If you purchased all of them you'd be paying around $80 for around a thousand dollars worth of games); or check out the four day sales at IndieGameStand. you'll find the indie bundles thread HERE. The thread is outdated, but all of the links will still take you to the latest bundles.
The latest IndieGameStand game is Chaos Ride, which has just been released on Steam for £5.25/$7.49 (that's with an initial 25% off, usual price will be £6.99/$9.99. you can get it for $1 (approx £0.75) and get a Steam and Desura key. If you pay over the average, which at the time of writing was $1.60 You get an android version. This bundle ends around 5am (GMT) Tue 3rd Feb. Annoyingly I purchased the game at full price two days ago, a couple of hours before it was added to the IGS site.
The latest Daily Indie game is called chernobyl Underground a FPS game - It is 2020. After the fall of Eurozone in 2014 and huge financial crisis, the Ukraine never finished the new sarcophagus for the Chernobyl Power Plant. With the old Dome constantly decaying, the radiation levels were increasing and very soon the zone was declared off limits to civilians - and closed. Shortly it became a shelter for escaping criminals, army deserters and all the society-unwanted scum.
Dangerous, inhabited by potential targets and officially closed, the Zone became an ideal testing ground for military and private contractors. Combat equipment, weapons and electronics - tested by small teams or even standalone mercs. The player is one of the mercenaries sent into the Zone. Since he is the first who may make it alive through the Plant interiors, his mission has been handsomely paid for by the Death TV - and they hope for a good show, paying extra for every kill - the more gruesome, the higher the bid.
You can get two keys if you pay more than the average of $1.26 (at the time of writing); one key to share with a friend or family member perhaps?. You'll find that deal HERE. They also have four bundles of several games that'll cost you less than $1.50 HERE each. The single game deal ends Midnight Tuesday 27th Jan and will be replaced with a new game called In Space
Most of the bundles retail for around $5 give or take a few dollars (apart from the Daily Indie bundles that only cost $1.49 for six games), but you can pay as little as a dollar for some.
The free game from Origin has chaned from Sim City 2000 to Theme Hospital. i.e.
