Well, I finally made it out of level six, just last night. That last board on level six is a dilly. I changed my strategy and it seemed to work. I had 3 lives left (don't know how that happened), and the only tool I had was the magic lantern. I worked mostly from the bottom whenever I could, but keeping my eye on the top of the board to watch where the puzzle pieces (clouds) were going. When I finally got the clouds to the bottom, I used the lantern to break the remaining locks, and continued to work until I had released all the clouds. I probably would have yelled, but it was late, and everyone else was sleeping : ) By the way, I really do have a life...I will be 70 in a couple of months, and am raising my grandkids. Gaming is a nice break for me.

As everyone else, I found this game very addictive; however, unlike everyone else, I found it to be quite difficult once you get to level six. I've made it up to the last play board of level six, but never made it out of level six. I've played lots of these types of games before, particularly Big Kahuna 2 (the harder, the better). Atlantis Quest has gotten me stumped though. I was astonished at one of the comments that said it was too easy...lucky person. I am going to keep trying though because I really enjoy the game a lot, even though it elicits some really terrible language out of my usually nice mouth. LOL

What a lovely and fun little game! The graphics are beautiful and the music very middle eastern and mysterious. I feel like I'm on some type of archeological adventure with Indiana Jones every time I play. Thanks so much GOOTD.

The error messages sound like it's a problem with DirectX. Look for the latest version on Microsoft's website and install it.

I don't go in for these Match Three type games as they are mostly very repetitive and samey, but this one has given me hours of enjoyment yesterday and today so thanks! :)

I love these type of games!

Got an error when I attempted to launch: Could not reset the Direct 3D device. Game won't play on Windows XP system... don't know what to do about it either.

All in all a very fun game...

The changing shapes of the board along with introducing more types of pieces makes the game more challenging than it first appears.

I didn't realize at first that the shovel bonus piece removes a piece from under each "target" piece on the board all at once allowing them all to drop one space down. I was saved once by that - a very handy bonus piece to try and get when you see them.

Also the addition of the locked pieces that you can't swap with others, you have to swap the others that are the same over to them to make the three of a kind adds another challenge. Especially since the bonus piece I am trying to drop usually ends up above it!

Remember the first time you bring the other two (Or more) over to match with the locked piece it just unlocks it. The formerly locked piece doesn't disappear off the board - even though the matching pieces you maneuvered over do disappear off the board when the piece is unlocked. You have to match the now unlocked piece a 2nd time to get rid of it. :)

Well, I have to go 'cause I have to do "just one more screen"...

Before now I have just lurked on this site, but this game is really good so I feel compelled to comment. I've played one similar to this one that I paid for, and this one seems every bit as good as that one. I was just going to play a few screens, and then give the verdict to my sister who also likes these kind of games. I think it was almost an hour later that I finally decided I could let it go for the day! Thanks for the game!

Excellent match three puzzle game. Others have already given all the particulars so I won't restate, but agree that goals are a nice addition to a match three game.

Music is very relaxing, sounds are nice and graphics are great. I only wish the playing field was larger. The left side where the score, menu button and item to fill with earned pieces is huge, much larger than it needs to be. It would have been better to make those areas smaller and the playing field larger. But that's a minor issue with what otherwise is an excellent and very addictive game. Thumbs up!

Wow! Let me be the first to admit that I'm a bit weary of "match three doo-dads in a row" puzzle games. But based on the reviews on this site, and on the quality of other games I've played from the same developer, I gave ATLANTIS QUEST a shot.

I'm glad I did. The game is very professionally put together. The puzzles are different enough to keep it interesting, and the learning curve is nice and slow.

Probably a bit easy for seasoned puzzlers, but a lot of fun for the casual gamer -- or anybody who wants to sit down and have a relaxing moment or two. This one is probably worth the purchase price if you miss the giveaway.

I have only been here for a couple of weeks, and have not had a problem with any downloads, excepte yesterday, but I did get it... Todays game is the best and keeps you on your toes... Love it ! Thanks GOTD for a wonderful game...

Definitely one of the more interesting and visually pleasing GGOTD offerings to date. I like the fact that it's really two games in one - matching three-in-a-row in order to complete a jigsaw-type puzzle.

Most games here work great, however, this one does not. I get a "No Acvtive Texture found" Message and teh game ends. This is upon start up.

Holy crap. I D/Led this think, "eh, just another Bejeweled clone", but holy crap it's addictive. Is it sad that my laptop has a Mobility X1600 and an Audigy 2 ZS soundcard and I'm sitting here playing budget puzzle games?

really like the game!!!! but this is the only time I can remember that one of the games has not activated. Is it still a full game, and not a demo?

This game was one of the "Really Good" on my list of games to buy someday. The girls and I love playing it and I'm sure we'll enjoy it for months. Played the Demo once and never got to the end of the game - sometimes they do go longer than the hour as long as you don't turn them off - but then you pay for it in a sluggish computer.... anyhow - definatly a keeper and a high point in my day today!!! Easy to play, but not so easy as to get board with it. And easy on tired eyes. Turned off the music after only a minute though.

I was mistaken in my 1rst impressions. It is a much better game than expected. The harder levels are really challenging and I keep coming back to play just one more. Many thanks for another one for my collection. I just keep hoping my hard drive will go on for years. there are now a lot of games from here I would be upset to lose.

I hate reviews that start off - "I downloaded this game and now I have been playing for hours"

but......

I downloaded this game and had to stop myself because I would have been playing for hours. This is a great game to start off the week. As I said I had to stop myself but I believe it is going to be a short game but I think it has a high replay value. Great work Terminal studios you have been hitting them out of the park. I loved brickshooter Egypt and I love this one especially because I can kill a couple of relaxing hours with these games. And since I'm a lover of ancient civilizations your "story line" is a good distraction.

Sorry for the multiple posts; just another update. You can definitely carry forwards the power ups. The timer of course adds extra time to your game, definitely useful on the harder levels. Also once a level set is completed you are given one extra life. I'll leave someone else to tell us what the money bag does. Possibly enables you to buy one of the pieces or extra points’, or even a life maybe?

This is definitely one of the most addictive games I've played recently. The last one I found so endearing was Gumboy Crazy Adventures, which was awarded the game tunnels game of the year award 2006. You can download a trial from:

Smooth d/l-install-activation. Menu screen would make a nice screensaver (gasp). Nice gameplay. Reminds me of "Big Reef" game that has been around awhile; but, improved. - "Thumbs Up".

I have a Logitech wireless mouse. For what it's worth, I didn't experience any problems - which indicates that perhaps there's a problem in your mouse set-up.
