Man, GAOTD, are you tired of people not installing software correctly? Two today.

People, people, people, read the darn instructions that come with it. You see that little file marked "readme.txt"? It's called "readme" because YOU'RE SUPPOSED TO READ IT.

No sympathy for people who can't follow simple instructions, Sean.

Hey, no offense peeps... but I can't believe the folks who still think they're getting just "demos." They obviously can't follow the simple instructions provided that come with each and every game. True... if you don't follow the steps, the full version isn't unlocked. I have yet to receive a single "demo" from this site, and truly appreciate the offerings from GAOTD, every day. People have re-worded the instructions here for those who don't "get it"... yet people still complain they're getting demos, when it's their own lack of following instructions. Oh well... hope ya'll figure it out some day, or just don't come here if you don't "like it." I think it's absolutely GREAT what GAOTD is offering. Thanks again, guys.

Thanks for the game, but not for me yet. I'm concerned though at the lack of comments on this free gamesite. We won't lose our giveaways if not enough people comment on them, will we? Or is it just me??

Sorry for the three separate posts. 'I should really be in bed', but just had to try the game again as I usually agree with Game Seekers comments; however I have to disagree with what he says today. The five different themes, all of which are quite different were very challenging especially crazy trek, and in my opinion lend themselves to giving a very entertaining few hours of play, which for a Pacman clone is rather amazing, as I generally wont consider playing them.

With respect to the mouse control, after discovering it, lol, (thanks for putting me straight PLady100) I had no problems using it; in fact it did improve my game play significantly. My son found the game just as entertaining, so in a scale of 1 to 10 I'd give this game 7 points.

How I missed the mouse control the first time, I haven't a clue. just checked it out and found it right away. Must have been really wiped out this morning (I have to take mrphine) sorry again....

Here's that link for five free solitaires Lori, as well as a multitude of other games. You do get a screen directing you to the home page whenever you shut down a game, but for free commercial software, it's worth it. No malware or viruses :)

Sorry if I missed the mouse control in my earlier post (comment #9) . Didn't figure it at the time. :)

By the wat Lori, I've posted links to free solitaire games several times, including a klondike game as you requested a few weeks back. :)

OH NO! Axysoft requires that you ACTIVATE prior to running SETUP in order to get full version.....the moans and groans are back.....I'll target you Sean, # 31, 32....duh! Read the instructions! It is the full version if you install properly....when in doubt, read the directions!

This is a cute, fun easy to manipulate (for me anyway) "coffee break" game. Looks good on my wide screen lap top ( Vista OS). I am trying a demo of one of thier other games.

A note to those having trouble with the activations... I found that if I use WinZip to open the folder I need to be sure to tick the box that says to 'unzip WITH OUT installing" as this opens the folder and will reveal the activation, the read me and the instalation all seperately.

Windows Vista OS automatically does all this.

I thought this game was kind of fun. I didn't play it long, but it was entertaining while I did play. It's one I'll probably keep around for awhile. I have the full version, and have never had a problem with registering any of the software offered here. I always remember to do the setup in alphabetical order. Activate first, then Set up the game or program. One thing, though, as a few others mentioned, I really didn't like that I couldn't use the mouse for this, even though the options said I could. The mouse doesn't work well at all. Other than that, I liked it.

Thanks, PLady100 (#17), I almost skipped this one, too, after reading post(#9) about no mouse control. As it turns out though, Game Seeker Hit the playability nail right on the head(Thanks GS!). Keys or mouse, this one just doesn't do it for me. Thanks anyway, GOTD, you hit much more often than you miss! (After 2 1/2 straight hours of playing Alien Shooter yesterday, if I don't kick back with a nice quiet solitaire game, I'm going to need therapy!!!)

This one kind of makes me dizzy playing it. The whole thing with the screen moving around is definitely something to avoid if you have a headache. Or, possibly inner ear problems...

Re: #28 Linda:
"and run the activation program Activate.exe which is included in the package,"

That IS the registration information. To activate = to register

If you already installed you can still activate (register) to get full version. Close the game then go back to the zip file you downloaded. Make sure your unzip program is set in it's options to view all files in the zip. When you see the file activate.exe double click it, that will register the game.

R.B. on Question #22 asked how we go about getting the registration code. Gamegiveawayoftheday suggested the readme file be read carefully. The readme file in its entirity states:
"Installation

Unzip the package you`ve downloaded and run the activation program
Activate.exe which is included in the package, then run Setup.exe to
install the software.

You have to install it before the Giveaway offer for the software is over.

Terms and conditions

Please note that the software you download and install during
the Giveaway period comes with the following important limitations:
1) No free technical support
2) No free upgrades to future versions
3) Strictly non-commercial usage"

I saw no information about registration. If you don't register you aren't able to save played games or get into the other bells and whistles of the game such as other music, etc. This has nothing to do with technical support or upgrades in my opinion. It simply is what is offered on the game if one was to purchase it. So, I still don't understand if we are suppose to have a registered number or if this free game has limitations and is not really the FULL VERSION of the game.

On a positive note, I love the music, graphics and the game itself is entertaining as long as you don't get to serious about it. My 9 year old loves it!

Thank you!

The biggest gripe I had with it was that the AI or perhaps just the game dynamics themselves had a few obvious flaws. Stuff like dying 3-4 times each time I died, because I would respawn repeatedly on top of the same enemy, dying each time. No way to control or avoid doing so either. Otherwise it wasn't too bad. For my first GGOTD (just found the site last night/early this morning looking for PDF conversion software, since that's today's GOTD)it's not bad. I'll definitely be checking back regularly now.

Controls are too difficult for me. Kept on missing dots and getting stuck in dead-ends. Finding the arrow keys uncomfortable to use, I decided to try using the mouse. It was even worse! The game is fine except for this. If the mazes and movement were more like Pacman, it would be a nice game to keep.

Thanks, anyway.

This is OK, but just barely OK. It combines the playing field from Money Mania, the flying propeller thing from Air Xonix and backgrounds that look like they came from one of those screensavers that shows different nature photos. The backgrounds change as levels progress and they do look very nice, but that's about it. Maybe they should have made a .jpg screensaver instead of a game.

It does have mouse support but it doesn't work very well, the game plays much better and faster with the arrow keys. It doesn't matter how much game speed is increased or decreased in the options, it just doesn't play well with a mouse. It seems like mouse driver support was added as an afterthought. Whether using keyboard or mouse, the playing field moves along with movement of the game piece which gets a little dizzying after a while. There's a strange "aye, aye, aye, aye" sound when the game piece gets hit by one of the monsters. It does have ability to save games for reloading to finish later.

For background graphics I would give this a 9, for playing field graphics a 4, and for playability a 3.

I just played it. Very cute game. Not a lot of sound effects although when I get "eaten" (which happened a lot) the sound was "I yi yi yi" which was cute. This is a game for kids or just a chance to rest the eyes. All the screens are greens and blues which is nice. I didn't think the mouse control was very good but the arrow keys were second nature.

Well, for some reason, it installed on another computer (same firewall).
Who knows..... anyhow, this game isn't bad, but it needs a bit of an upgrade. I'd consider it an under $10 title. Cmon......its limited to 640x480 screen resolution?!?

I downloaded and tried this game and think it is pretty neat. It may or may not be one of my favorites but unless something goes wrong this is a keeper for me.
It really is a shame that so many people find it necessary to complain. I agree that if you don't like the game just uninstall it or don't even down load it. If something is wrong with the game that affects the comp or something doesn't work by all means voice what is wrong. I myself just skip what I don't find suits me but see no need to critize something that is given away for free. Those that do need to try giving away something themselves. I appreciate GOTD and have nothing bad to say about what they do. I'm not having to pay so what would give me that right? I assure you that if you look for the possitive in life you'll find you will be a much happier person. Thanks GOTD I think you do a GREAT job and if I should go a week without finding a game I like that's okay. I have found many hours of great entertainment thanks to you. All thumbs up for what you do. Thanks many times over. PRM

Can't activate. I tried creating a full-access rule for my firewall, AND tried disabling my firewall all-together. It just keeps saying "activation module failed to connect to game.giveawayoftheday.com Software activation is not possible at the moment. Please try again later or check your firewall settings."

Now why would the developers want feedback on this game? It's simply awful. It has come to the end of it's "life-cycle" and I don't expect any further improvements on it. It's most likely being "thrown away" than "given away".

Correction to #9. You can change the controls to use your mouse. I'm glad I had already begun the d/l before reading that post or I might have not even tried it.

To the developers, thank you for that option. If I can't use my mouse, I usually won't play the game. It was interesting. I'll try it for while. Thank you.

#13 i agree. authours need to come into the 2000s as far as multiple monitors goes. I deleted moneymania because it was just too hard to tell where you were at the start of level and that annoying press a key after every level. I hope the program author is reading this as its only how to make your games better. not griping about something i didn't pay for. thank you

This is definitely a keeper. The game looks tidy, and plays nicely. The options menu contains the usual changes including the ability to change the speed of the game. There's no mouse control which for those with disabilities will preclude them from the game, which is a shame as this is one of those rare Pacmans that is well built, with several level types. I'm not usually a Pacman fan, but this game, which is similar to one given away a few weeks ago called Money Mania is well worth the effort to download. :D

Thank you Axysoft and the GGAotD team for this game.

First of all, I don't want to be to harsh when commenting on a free game but this time I'll make an exception. Perhaps it's because of the attempt to compare this with Pacman... That's just an insult.

Anyway, not long ago GOTD had a similar game named Moneymania. If you want my opinion and if you downloaded that one, don't bother downloading "Alonix" as well. They're almost identical. Same concept, same over-implemented / sleep-inducing graphic effects, music... Everything is the same or similar except for the weird head character in Moneymania, it's been replaced with something even weirder. :-)

Again, I'm sorry for simply slaughtering this game. But I don't do that for no reason - it's just boring! Period. There's nothing there to fetch, there's no fun. It's just an orgy of visual effects that give a somewhat polished look. But it has no entertainment value at all.

Download at your own risk.
